The person told me I could return my rental equipment to any Uhaul location at my destination. When I went to the nearest Uhaul location I could find, I was told I had to return it to the location designated on my contract. Making an extra trip to a location I couldn't return to was a huge inconvenience.

Van was dirty (inside of windshield, floor in cab and box), rock chip in windshield; seat was HORRIBLE--I now have a sprained lower lumbar and sacroiliac thanks to that damned, God-awful seat. The last truck we rented (26') on an F-350 chassis was excellent (also, picked up from a different location)--the seat was great, the cruise control was wonderful. I will NEVER AGAIN rent anything on an E-350 chassis. Horrible seat, no cruise control, and the truck wallowed all over the road (needs shocks, perhaps?). Uhaul should REALLY have disabled customer options.

The customer service is HORRIBLE!!! We were told our truck would fit on the car dolly and when it came time to load it up it did not fit. So last minute we had to ask my dad to take emergency leave from work to drive the truck to our new duty station. This overall costed us about $800 between gas for the truck, hotel rooms for my dad along the way, food for him and a last minute airline ticket for him to get home. Not only an I convince but a big expense that we had not budgeted for. And when I called to file a complaint I was hung up on more than 10 times, refused to talk to a manager and was told that it was my fault for not double checking whether or not it would fit. I then researched the corporate office's number and spoke with who I believe was a manager and she told me that the manager, Donald, who had told me that it was my fault, was correct in his actions and that there was nothing further that could be done. We are military and move on average every 3 years; you have lost a lifelong customer and not only that but now have one more military family advocating against your business. And if you know anything about the military you know that we are one big family and word of mouth means more than anything.
