The 26' truck had no tail light, brake, or blinker on back passenger side. It was out. We had to drive 400 miles like that. Those things should be checked before releasing the unit for rental.
AMY MI’d like us to clarify U-Haul’s return and billing process. At drop-off, the local agent refused to provide a final receipt or settlement, telling us it would be sent later. That raises concerns about unexpected charges—specifically a $25 cleaning fee being applied for unfolded blankets. When we questioned the cleaning charge, the agent said it was because the blankets weren’t folded and that folding them would remove the fee. This was communicated verbally, and no revised bill was provided on the spot.
