Great people - specifically Danny who helped me initially when got the vehicle. Vehicle's AC was non functional and did complain while returning. The person who received the VAN started to defend, I believe, thinking that I may be looking for a discount or something. I explained and clarified that all I was looking for it to be fixed before they give it to someone else and would like to pay in full whatever is required. That made me take a star out. Overall I will use U-Haul again, no worries.

I tried using the online reservation. It took more than 30 minutes to receive the validation email. I tried to have it resent it but had no success. Of course I was unable to complete the process and was locked out of the system with an unknown error.. A very disappointing waste of my time.

i filled the fuel as was expected but was charged for fuel , when i called them they said i need to go in person to resolve it which i didnt have the time to do. So i had to pay for fuel twice

I was charged $15.75 as fuel charged in my last bill on 6/6/18. I already did refuel the truck with 2gal gas before returning it to uhaul location. I only drove a total of 19miles. I am not sure why I was charged with an extra gas fee of $15.75. I would appreciate if you can help me reimburse the charged money back.

I was given a drop off location that was out of my way by about 15 miles. I passed two U-haul locations on my way to drop the truck, and was then charged for going over the mileage allowed

I also had the same issue with this location. I couldn't drop off the truck because the manager said there was no parking available. With a little bit of technology I could have received that information via text hours before I made the drive down there.

U-Haul Milpitas was told that the equipment was to be returned in the morning where I has reserved it for the full day, the U-Haul representative from Milpitas called us. Instead of being professional and inquiring, they were demanding and very unprofessional. The miscommunication was within the U-Haul organization and not with us. We did not appreciate being yelled out.

I had my pickup at 12 PM, and, I had reserved the UHaul for 24 hours to ensure if I ran late I have it reserved for the entire day. As expected with all the moving work and traffic, I ran late (about 90 minutes) past 12 PM. When I arrived at the UHaul pickup, I was declined of my reservation as "my reservation was held only for 45 minutes". It is totally unfair to hold it for just 45 minutes and not keep the customer aware of such rules. Nowhere in the order completion receipt was there a mention of 45 minutes. We were devastated and had the worst customer experience when the UHaul center denied giving us a van for transport. It took a lot of convincing and waiting to get another UHaul. This was one of the worst customer experience. I have reserved UHauls and other cars earlier and when I book it for a day (prebooked/reserved), I usually am never told to pick up within 45 minutes. Even if such a rule exists, the customer should be made aware of this through text messages like what Zipcar does.

The computer at the receptionist is very slow. The receptionist is very impatient. And what is more, when I made reservation on uhaul.com, I input my miles, it is about 93 miles and I got a rate at 0.39dollar/mile. It ends up I operate 96 miles, and I got charged at a rate at 0.99dollar/mile. The officer told me either you claim more than 100 miles when checking in, or you actually run more than 100 miles. I was like, why not tell me this? While the website convinced me that 92 miles already qualifies for 0.39dollar/mile! This is cheating. Then let me drive somewhere else for more than 4 miles. He refused. The experience really sucks. People should be much, much more patient and understand more about customer`s situations, and help them save. If I found a competitor, I would never get back to uhaul.

1. The vehicle was smelling foul, 2. Seeking support for the self-return process was horrible: a. I could not get any support over the phone despite waiting for tens of minutes and numerous tries, b. The system or the live chat rep. could not associate my order with my account.
