Returning uhaul the person didn’t check the vehicle or the mileage the phone number does not work that shows on sight, worker had no idea how to close me out. Bad overall experience had to go back in and get reinforced mileage.

Kay WAt drop off I asked the person behind the counter to check in my U-Haul because my phone died in the middle of checking it in via the mobile app. He said he would get to it later. The next morning I received a receipt with an additional $56 worth of fuel added onto my bill. Just prior to dropping the truck off I topped the tank off. The receipt said I returned it with 5/8 of a tank, total lie and false representation. I called U-Haul and they pulled up the account and seen the charge but also noticed that the truck was already rented back out and they had a picture of the gas gauge showing full and also checked the truck out with the exact same mileage I returned it, 4422.8. For those wondering the location didn’t have a gas station nor is there one close by. I believe the legal term for this type of behavior is fraud. Check your receipts and always take pictures when checking out or returning!!
