We recommend that U-Haul/this location establish a penalty for returning trucks late. We waited two hours past the time promised because the previous renter was late, with no penalty for being late. As a result we missed the opportunity to pick up the key for the apartment. So our nephew ended up unloading all his belongings into a friend’s living room, and sleeping on the friend’s couch. Duane was very kind to give us a credit for some of the cost, but it was still a very frustrating experience.
Joanne SMy original reservation was made at a Uhaul location in the town that I live. I was willing to travel the 24 miles to a different pick up location to pick up the truck that my pick up location wasn't able to provide. It would have been nice if I wasn't charged for the 24 miles it took just to drive home and load the truck.
