Two of the people we talked to here could have been friendlier but the lady who checked us in was fine. The truck had not been swept out after the last use so I cleaned it well to avoid a charge. Things went fine with getting the truck and the location was very convenient.

This was a bad experience the entire time. First I called ahead of time to reserve a truck, appliance dolly and tow dolly for car. I was to pick everything up at Delmar in Plymouth on Friday the 31st of July. I was moving from Indiana to Ohio. When I went in early that week to have my vehicle checked they didn't have my reservation and said my vehicle didn't need checked. They didn't have the truck I ordered on there list once reservation got sent to them. They had me down to get an appliance dolly, furniture dolly, padding blankets and boxes along with actual order. She called someone in Indianapolis and talked with someone. She said I would be getting a call on Wednesday July 29. I got the call from Ned at Indianapolis who said I would have to pick up everything in Silver Lake that is about a 55 mile round trip. I was at Silver Lake about 10 till 8 and they were just opening up. When I went in at first she couldn't find reservation and then found one with all the extra stuff on it. She took it off, I told her I didn't want insurance at all. They did not have equipment ready so I had to wait for them to get it ready. They drove it around to front of building. The worker handed me all the paperwork and told me all the instructions were in it. I said whoa whoa whoa I need to be shown how to put car on dolly. He went and got someone else to help who basically hooked car up but didn't explain things to me. He also acted very annoyed that he had to do that much. I left there very very nervous. I got the truck to my house and due to him got all twisted up because he neglected to tell me it couldn't be backed up. Once we unhooked the dolly we got to load the truck but it took 3 more hours than it should of that I lost packing. I don't feel it's right to not have a truck and equipment in the city that you live in, I shouldn't have to drive to get it when there is a dealer right in my city. I was very disappointed that things were so unorganized. I have used U HAUL before and had no problems. Lastly to end my trip when I checked it in in Ohio they charged me for 3 extra days and insurance for all the days. I feel that due to all the increased stress with this whole encounter should be compensated back to me as you don't run a business like this, your goal is to please the customer not cause them grief. The lady at Kerlin's who worked with us was very kind and made sure there was a truck there for us so we didn't have to drive to a larger city to get one. Things worked great. Will definitely use them again if needed.

the program to register a customer and make a sale is way too complicated and redundant. I was over 45 min just trying to get the paperwork ready to go. Then I was not able to sign for the rental nor did I get a receipt at the time of rental. I don't blame Kerlins for this. It took 2 people to work it out.

Customer service at this location was horrible..truck was parked about 2 blocks from the building..had to drive or walk a great distance to get it..windows were frozen so i had to scrape them. When I tried to call Representative from location with a question I had it took several calls before I could get her on the phone.????

My U-Haul rental pick up experience was completely unacceptable! I reserved the one-way rental online about a week in advance and was scheduled and confirmed to pick up up at a location in Warsaw at 8 AM. HOWEVER, when I arrived to get the rental, the woman was unprepared and did not have our truck or any other similar trucks! She did not apologize for not being prepared and pushed blame off to another rental costumer. How is it not the responsibility of the U-Haul locations to make sure they have the trucks for their scheduled reservations?? She even said the truck was supposed to be dropped off Tuesday, and we were picking it up Friday. Is 3 days not enough time to get the vehicle to the correct location in the same town?! She called another location in town and "trafficking," and we were finally able to find a truck 25 minutes away in another town. I was supposed to receive a $50 credit for this inconvenience, but I was overall very dissatisfied by the poor planning and lack of accommodation. The silver lake location we ended up using was fine, accept it would have been nice if the vehicle at least had the snow cleared off. I will not be recommending U-Haul to friends or using for any future moving if this is not reconciled.

Great service. Only problem was computer software. Took several attempts and we only needed it for two days but computer automatically gave us 4 days and staff could not change. It was a one way rental and was told when we arrived at destination that they could change it to two days but they could not change it either. U-hauls computer software needs to be upgraded!

Smooth rental, man at Kerlin was very nice. My only regret was that we couldn't rent him to help! Lol! I have been using UHaul since age 19. I'm age 71 now! Best company ever.

Your software was a problem from beginning to end. It took a very long time and a lot of frustration to check truck out, Software wouldnt work to drop it off either.... Good people bad uhaul software system!
