The truck had a terrible exhaust leak that made it extremely loud. There was a check engine light on, so the truck needed maintenance. The rear door was very difficult to open and close and over if the cables on the door broke. Additionally, the steering was loose, which was exacerbated by the wind we have been having here. When I arrived to drop the truck off, the employee who checked the truck in was accusatory of the broken cable and the exhaust leak being my fault. It was insulting to me. The store doesn't maintain their equipment then tries to guilt your customers into it being their fault. Not ok at all.

Steve the Yard guy is ride and needs to be fired. My order was mixed up and re manager and I were discussing. It I was excitable as I was stressed my voice was fast and excitable. Steve started scolding me about yelling and was confrontational and rude called me a bitch actually. He wouldn’t back down and said I was a bad persons he handled an upset customer the absolutely worst way possible the manager was so kind and understanding. Steve was the worst customer service I have ever see.

untrained person greeted me. Did not know how to work computer. Manager on break while 2 customers waiting for him to come back so he could handle issues. Zero sense of urgency. Took me 30 minutes to get out of there. And the guy there before me was still stuck there when I left. Truck wss filthy. I returned it better than how I received it. The team that was working when I returned it the next day were way more professional and speedy.

The person that helped me at the counter was excellent, but there is a man in the lot that was extremely rude, asking me to move my vehicle for no reason, interrupting everyone at the counter to do it. he could simply have waited 2 minutes and nothing would be needing done. The manager sided with him, stating fire safety laws, but he had no idea where I was parked or what the issue was. I was picking up a trailer, the lot man had an agenda in his mind and where I parked was not part of it. I truly hope I never need to deal with that person again. He has ZERO customer service ability and should be in another profession.

Cup holders were disgusting - looked as if they had spilled coke and dried, very sticky. The vehicle felt like it need an oil change and was incredibly stiff

The clerks were very ill-mannered. I needed a pickup truck but they told me that all of the trucks were pre-registered for the next day, and all they had were vans. However, there was indeed a truck wasting away in the parking lot all day. I did not get what I needed. The mileage on the contact read 431.0 but the odometer would only read 4310 not showing the tenths digit. Yet as soon as I drove off the driveway it changed to 4311. So I was paying for an extra mile when I shouldn't have. I did mention to the clerk that the milage on the paper was not accurate before I drove off, but they would not verify my report. I also mentioned this to the check-out clerk and he said the there was nothing that he could do about it. On the day before I was to pick up my rental vehicle, I scheduled my registration for 10:00 A.M.the next day. However, on that day,I recieved a call at 09:45 A.M. erroneously informing me that I had missed the registration time. I told the the person on the phone that I would be there in 15 minutes, and naturally I was there within 15 minutes. I was told after I had signed papers that I couldn't not leave my car on-site, as consumers could only use their parking lot for 20 minutes. However, ther was no signage to indcate this. I was told to park on the street which I resulted being a no parking zone, thanks to the "no parking" sign being posted outside my realm of vison. What parking that was available on the street was taken up by construction workers' vehicles. I was was lucky that my car was still there but I may have a parking ticket waiting for me later. I firmly believed that they need to supply customer parking for at least for a day--especially when the streets are taken by construction vehicles--or let people know that there would be no parking provided before the contract is signed. Had I been informed of this inecusable circumstance, I would have made arrangments to have someone drive me to the office. Of course, when I had stopped by the day before to make the reservation, there was no metion whatsoever about this ludicrous parking situation. When I returned the van, their checking equipment was not working properly and it took way to long to be checked out.

Very slow staff. The manager had two customers out the door by the time I was finished. Nothing was explained to me besides insurance. A little more information and haste would have been appreciated. When I dropped the trailer off I wasn’t even acknowledged. Just given a dollar number. Everything was ultimately arranged and set up as required.

The agent should be more apologetic for a miss understanding at the pick up site. I know it wasn't his fault but don't continue to say it's all in the contract and you signed it. When I pushed back I think he finally looked at my side and apologized for the problem I had.

Waited 10 minutes to check in truck. Uhaul employee argued with me about truck being damaged, then showed me how to use truck, the saw I was right and was baffled. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this particular location to anyone unless they were in a bind and had no other options.

The trailer leaf spring was broken and the break was rusty indicating it had been broken for a while. The trailer was not safe to be operated on the road.

I was not happy with my trailer hook up. I borrowed a trailer hitch from a friend. When the UHAUL man hooked it up, the back of the trailer was almost hitting the ground. It was no where near being level. I asked him if the hitch should be turned up side down, he said once I got a load on it it would level out. He also side "KNEE HIGH is what is used to judge if it is ok". I jumped in and headed out. On my way out the back end dragged on their driveway. Before I got home the back of that trailer bottomed out 5 times. I unhooked the trailer and reversed the ball and it leveled out the trailer. He was going to have me drive from Simi to Phoenix and back like that. VERY VERY VERY dangerous. When I returned it I told the attendant what I did, He said UHAUL was not responsible for making sure the hitch was on correctly and they did not have tools to make it right. He said it was a liability issue. I told him IF something happened on that trip UHAUL would find themselves in court. I was NOT happy with the whole interaction and the fact it was unsafe and they sent me out anyway. They could have told me, yes the hitch need to be turned over but did not. It should not be up to me, a person who rented for the first time, to time them I thought the hitch needed turned over. IF the load would have leveled out the trailer the wheels of my vehicle would be touching the wheel well. I'll need to rent another trailer in January, I am NOT sure I will use this location. I am sure that man that hooked me up new it wasn't right and if he did not, he should not be working there putting peoples lives in danger by creating a dangerous situation.
