I had to add two quarts of oil to the Truck. It was a newer unit and often the mfg says don't change the oil for 100,000 miles. I'd be more upset except this is not the first newer vehicle I've rented with low oil, below the add mark. The other vehicle was from another rental agency and it was a Ford Transport. The dealer was upset I added the recommended Ford brand oil and weight per engine label. Their claim was the mfg. says it's okay to let them run low before first oil change??? That's fine for them, but I was not going to be out a 100 miles from civilization with a rod through the block to appease their recommendation. U-Haul had no issue with it. I have not stopped since moving to a new state to put a claim in for the oil, but I'm sure they'll do right by me. Otherwise both Dealers were great!

My online reservation said to pick up the trailer at one location. When I called that location to confirm, they said they did not have it and sent me to another. Good thing I called. When I dropper it off in paso Robles it was a cigarette smoking den. Yuck!

To Whom It May Concern: I was in the Simi Valley, CA store early Sunday morning September 18th to pickup a trailer I reserved for Moorpark free dump day. My receipt number is: 60861679. The moment the store was opened, your employee named Cain singled me out. "Anyone here renting equipment to haul to the dump?" he called out. "Yes", I said. Then Cain immediately and deliberately attacked me verbally. "We don't rent our equipment to go to the dump!" he proclaimed. "We are a family rental store and we don't want our equipment coming back and smelling like the dump! I'll give you a refund if you were planning on going to the dump". He was totally attacking me in front of all the other customers and I hadn't done anything. I asked where that U-Haul policy is written. Turns out it's not written anywhere because he make it up. He told me that there "We have steep fees if the equipment is brought back dirty." "So", I said, "it's not that you are banning trailers from going to the dump, the policy is that it needs to be returned in good, clean condition." "Right" said Cain. So, Cain likes to makeup store policy as he sees fit. Cain is your basic rude asshole, he shouldn't be a part of the organization. How dare Cain treat me, a paying customer, like I'd done something sinister If I haul things to the dump? How insulting. When I got my trailer home I took pictures of it and then again after I cleaned it. I brought it back better than how it was given to me. But, when I returned it, the guy working the field (not Cain) said that the condition was just "OK". "Really?", I asked him, "then you take me out to the trailer and you show me directly where the problems are!" I demanded. "I've taken before and after pictures", I proclaimed " and this trailer is better than it was before I picked it up! You march me right out there and show me what made you say it's only 'OK'". Having no tangible evidence to use as reference, the guy agreed that it was indeed perfect. "I don't appreciate being singled out and then accused of bring it back in poor condition!" I said. With that, I left and will never walk into your store again - ever. Rude! and Liers! How dare you people do business at all - there's nothing nice or neighborly about this U-Haul. I would only use the Chatsworth store. Your Simi Valley store employees were complacent. They allowed faulty equipment to knowingly go out. The latch on the door of a truck is a pretty, basic, key ingredient of moving items in a truck. Yours failed, jammed and cost me time and money while I waited 2 hours for some mystery Road Side Assistance to show up. I don't get to perform my job this poorly- but you do??!! And take my money? I'm going to the top- every corporation has a top, dog overly paid Vice President who occasionally takes complaints and mine will be one of them.

Brandon has a bad attitude. Maybe he's not a morning person, but I would sooner take my business elsewhere rather than deal with him again. The manager was great, the big guy, very nice and accommodating. Don't fire Brandon, but have a talk with him about how you make customers feel after dealing with your business.

Trucks are clean and well maintained. Facility is clean and staff is presentable. Morning staff is a little bit more professional than weekend and evenings but they get the job done. Tip** when moving make sure you don't misplace your truck keys amongst the boxes... it's $250 to replace..

Entire experience was a horrible, Uhaul has failed me for the last time. My reservations were screwed up orignal location didn't have trailor I reserved. Then I had a rep at traffic desk argue with me about it, trying to blame me. I will post my experience on social media and begun a treat of #uhaulsucks and let's see how many people agree. It's not ok to treat customers this way and think your too big to care.

Would have like to take to some one about issues with vehicle. But as a Sunday night drop off it was not possible. Also comment cards might be a good addition to all U-hauls. The drivers side mirror kept dropping out of position with the rough California highways. Very hazardous in traffic to to be able to see.

This location is very clean. They employees are polite but rude at the same time. They make you park down the street. I specifically asked for a truck in good condition and the truck I received had 2 mechanical problems and one of them caused an accident. On top of that the lazy employee made me climb back in the truck and sweep out a few pieces of dust to avoid a $25.00charge. This is my least favorite location. Please have somebody call me @ 805 501-0798
