One of the taillights was out. The trailer was was to small for what I was hauling the weight distribution was way off towed for 500 miles at 50 mph. Horrible experience will never use u haul again.

I rented a trailer. It was kind of beat up, but it's a trailer. It hauled what I needed it to haul. That's it.

It would be helpful to instruct folks more specifically on how to check in with the app. There was not good cell reception so the app was very slow and frustrating...if I had known to expect this it would have been helpful.

While my issue is not with the location, it is with U-Haul as a whole. I would not recommend U-Haul from any location at this time. When I reserved my trailer online, it said that the reservation was for 3 days. When I picked up the trailer, the person said it was for three days. When I dropped of the trailer, the guy was confused that their system said it was for only a day, saying that it is normally listed as a 3 day rental. The paperwork I received was for 3 days. Yet, the corporate offices called my after about 26 hours of the rental telling me that I was late with drop off and that I would have to pay more, now that it isn't in on time. They did finally do 2 investigations and determined that it was a glitch. However, when I dropped it off, the guy at the drop off was saying that it was late, even though normally it would be a 3 day rental. He put that I checked in earlier than I did to avoid an extra charge. But still, their system is screwed up and the corporate office would seem to rather harass customers than fix their systems or even offer an apology. I ended up not having to pay a late fee, but will never again return to U-Haul, though I have used them once every year or two. In the future I'lll find a better company to do business with.
The transmission was slipping on the truck I rented. Thankfully we were doing an in-town move, but I definitely would not have felt comfortable going any further.

Awful. Will never use UHaul again. I received items I didn't order, tried to give them back twice but the originating location would not take them back. I called customer service twice after long waits and finally spoke to a manager who told me to go back to the location a third time to turn in the unwanted items that had been left in my rental truck. She assured me that the location would now take the items back and reimburse me for the charges. That was several hours of effort to give uhaul back items that I never ordered while I should have been packing and moving. Now I have been charged twice for two days for keeping the truck only one extra day. I'm out at least $201 for overages and items I never asked for. The manager on the customer service line (RJ) assured me all would be taken care of. None of it has been taken care of. I finally caved and just paid all charges so I can get on with my life. It's not worth my time or the stress. I'll just never use Uhaul again. My dad, my brothers, and several friends all warned me how awful uhaul is and recommended Penske instead. I used uhaul against their advice. I guess I learned my lesson.
Computer billing issues: took a half hour to check out, despite having done the checkout in advance online. They didn't even have me sign a contract because they couldn't generate one. Wouldn't accept a check as alternative payment. Didn't tell me ahead of time to bring cash to compensate for above computer issues. Completely out of adapters to convert 7 slot to 4 post trailer lights. Had to go to hardware store without tail lights to buy the right adapter. I applied online to pick up truck at 8:30 a.m. at one location, only to find out the afternoon before I had to wait until 10 am and go to a completely different location. To improve: 1) make sure locations have alternative (paper) ways to bill, or at least let people know to bring cash if the location has computer issues. 2). Don't let people sign up for a location/time online if it is not available. 3) Stock necessary adapters, or at the very least, let people know they are out of adapters before they arrive.
Always a good experience, my first choice
Didn't interact with anyone. Used the app which was clunky and frustrating. First I made the reservation to pick up at the Brandon, SD location was called the day before saying I'd have to drive into Sioux Falls for the truck. Why offer that location if you won't put a truck there? This was a huge inconvenience. Also it had me recheck into the app several times and was not quick or easy on the morning of the move. Once you enter info in the app you shouldn't have to do it 3 more times.
The worker when I took the truck back was very rude. They charged my card 91 dollars and it only cost 64.10. I will never rent from uhaul again.
Everything was great
The location service wouldn't work on their app at either end of my rental and the gentlemen seemed put out that he needed to check me in to return my truck. And he wasn't too interested to hear of my truck issues. He reminded to leave my issues to Uhaul not with him so here you go. Disappointed as I felt this truck was a safety hazard. 150930 miles and it needs some repairs!! All the agents on my phone calls were super helpful!
The drop off site manager didn't even check us in so we do not expect any added charges if he did want to charge us for anything.
I wasn't happy because they made me hook up the trailer by myself. No one came out to hookup the trailer for me. If I was by myself I wouldn't have been able to do it . Thank goodness I brought someone to help. The u haul guy just told me pull around the back of building and there was no one back there to help so we hooked it up ourselves. The last time I rented from you they helped with everything. Doesn't mean I will never rent from you cause I definitely will, but when you pay that kind of money you expect better service.

Personnel were rude. We had the impression that we were imposing on their time. They gave conflicting instructions to us for dropoff. We will probably not do business with them again.

I will be filing a formal complaint later this afternoon for the agist and degrading remarks made to myself and the younger agent working at this location. I have never had a problem with uhaul in the past. I would highly recommend not using this location.
The place was late to open (10 minutes) but the when the guy arrived he was able to quickly and professionally handle the line
