Vehicle was great, save the stale cigarette smell that permeated all parts of the vehicle. Less than 5000 miles on the odometer, it' seemed the primary function of this vehicle has been an ashtray. On the plus side, I was easily accommodated despite not having a reservation.

In comparison to other nearby uhaul locations, at this location it routinely takes longer to do just about anything. In particular, the set up for trailers is very inconvenient in that you have to park, go inside and wait in line to say that you are there to pick up a trailer, and then are sent to the far end of the location to hook up the trailer and then are told to go back to the desk to do all the paperwork. At other locations (e.g., at central square), they will hook you up immediately and then send you inside to do the paperwork, saving a step.

The guy who helped me here was really helpful, good communication as i was picking up the truck. I also had a number of stupid questions about the truck, which i directed to whoever was working outside where the truck was brought over for me. That guy was helpful too. My only complaints about the truck were the lack of an auxiliary input for playing music (2800 miles with portable speakers...ouch) and the lack of cruise control. Your cargo vans tend to have those. Also there was some oily substance on the floor mats and steps used to get into the cab. It seemed almost like a cleaning solution, not an accidental spill. But, it got on my shoe and made the pedals slippery. I also nearly slipped off that step trying to lean into the cab for something. It was better once i wiped the floor down, but i didnt notice at the Uhaul location so the first drive back home wasn't great with the slippery pedals.

The general manager, Jerry, has TERRIBLE customer service! I had to call 3 times to finally get a call back from him and then he was rude and arrogant. He did not answer my questions nor address my complaint for being charged a different price per mile and to top it off he cut me off several times when I was talking. I will be filing ANOTHER corporate complaint, this is the SECOND TIME that I was OVER CHARGED. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH SOMEONE WHO IS RESPECTFUL!

Unprofessional. Employees had little regard for my time. I returned a trailer to an employee who never told anyone inside that it was returned. I was charged for another day. Had to call and cancel to get my money back.

I will also be posting this on Yelp and anywhere else I can think of. I have been to this location about a dozen times and some or all of this will happen every. single. time. The only reason I return is because they are right next to where I live, and I highly doubt another location would be much different. I was waiting in line - except there was no line. I was just waiting. There were 4 cashiers, one customer being helped. Two of them were helping one customer because one of the cashier's computer apparently could not process his request. The other two cashiers, who I was standing DIRECTLY in front of, were talking. They were talking about business, so I let them continue. After about 5 minutes and also a few awkward glances from the two conversing cashiers one of them said "are you dropping off equipment?". He is the manager of this location (I forget his name). I wasn't dropping off equipment, and something along the lines of "how can I help you?" would have been far more appropriate. Equipment drop off is outside, not inside, so his question was actually an attempt to get me to go away. So now, after 5 minutes of listening to these two guys talk about business while the other two cashiers helped one customer, I simply said "No". They did not seem to even notice that they had made me wait 5 minutes to ask me an irrelevant question. The manager instructed the other guy to help me out. I was friendly, and so was he during the transaction. By the way, when you come in you wait in line, so you can go back outside and get hooked up, then come inside and wait in line again. But that's for another review... So he told me to meet someone outside. I got hooked up to the trailer and came back inside. Luckily no line but if there was a line I would be waiting again (Why?). Now, when I came back to return my equipment, I waited outside for only a minute or so before I was helped. No problem there, except the guy who helped me started bickering with his co worker over who was going to check me in. There were no other customers, no one was busy, yet they were both telling each other it was the other's turn. I just want to leave, but I can't until they are done. Next time I will unhook myself right there and they can move the trailer themselves. After they finished I dropped the trailer and left, frustrated as usual.

Make the return process slightly clearer - the staff was busy processing other returns when I returned the van I had rented, and without their direction it wasn't clear where to park or who I needed to talk to. Once one of them came over (after only a short delay), they directed me clearly.

Everyone on the UHaul Team was very professional and helpful. The 10' Truck that I rented had a issue with a key / ignition that made it so that the vehicle would not turn on without turning the wheel and pulling the key in and out while turning it. There shouldn't be a "trick" to getting the rental vehicle to start. When I called about the problem, the service team was very helpful and professional. My solution was that I left the vehicle running in idle for an hour at both locations of my move so I did not have to try to fight getting it started again. When I returned the vehicle, the service person noted that the key was worn down / dulled and that could have been contributing to the issue. Overall the team was great to work with, but the equipment operation was a moderate hurdle to completing what I needed to accomplish with the rental.

There was a mistake by Uhaul with the truck upon pick up. Customer service offered to issue me a credit if I accepted the truck as is. I accepted the truck. Upon returning the truck a different customer service representative initially would not honor the credit even-though it was in writing on my original receipt. I had to argue this point and stand my ground before the credit was finally honored. This process took roughly 30 minutes, so the credit I was originally issued didn't make up for the lost time it took me to recover it. An overall frustrating experience.
