The mileage on the vehicle did not match the mileage on our paperwork and we were overcharged (by a mile). They were not able correct it when we turned in the vehicle and we would have to contact the manager, etc -- too much work for us, but shouldn't have happened). This is a very well run Uhaul location (we also have storage there). The staff there are really great! We love them!

The mileage I noted when returning the vehicle is NOT what was on the final bill. Uhaul added 4 miles to the mileage. I would recommend they have customers sign off on the vehicle when returning so there is no discrepancies.

I had rented a Uhaul pick up truck on 1st September 2019 from 600 Mystic Valley Pkwy, Somerville, MA- 02144, under the Contract number: 25241209. When we picked up the truck from the above-mentioned location at 9:11 a.m., we were in a hurry to take out the vehicle to our destination, as you must be aware of the chaos in Boston city on a move-in day (1st September). In the process, we missed out on taking pictures of truck (in the state it was handed over to us) for future reference. However, we are very sure that no damage occurred to the vehicle while in our possession for the brief time period because we had parked in the designated parking spots allotted to us by Boston police and our moving-in went very smoothly. Now, when we were returning the truck at 5:40 p.m. to the above-mentioned location, the authorized personnel identified a few scratches on the left-hand side of the truck. While investigating the damage, the team pulled up an image of the truck when it was handed over to us which was a front view of the truck and had no evidence of NOT BEING DAMAGED in the picture. The team held us in discussions for a while and told we were all set and good to go when asked if any damage costs would be added to our receipt. However, an amount of $150 has been added to our final receipt for “Missing or Damage charges”. We would be highly grateful if you could look into the matter and withdraw the damage charges added to the receipt. Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

The experience of using the U-Haul application was very poor. There was some kind of error in the app, which led to the app assigning me a truck that had already been given to another customer by the store. I then had to wait in line to resolve the situation, and another customer had to take a different type of vehicle because there was only cargo van left at the facility. I was delayed almost 45 minutes by all of the mixups. There needs to be better coordination between the app and the local store experience.
