This was one of the most disappointing and frustrating customer experiences I have ever had. I have tried emailing, calling, go in person to several locations and had no response. I had excessive wait times to get absolutely no help at all. I was told I would not be charged for the extension and then I was. I am actively telling people not give business to Uhaul. I have told at least 10 people about this horrible experience and horrible customer service.

The feedback I have is not a reflection on this location at all, the man that works here is extremely helpful, friendly and on top of everything. The feedback I have is for the UHAUL company. I reserved my truck a week in advance and received a confirmation that same day. Then 2 days before my rental date I get a text that my reservation changed from 8am to 3pm and to a location way further away, and very inconvenient. I was told by UHAUL that the truck I had originally reserved has been out being serviced but apparently this wasn't communicated properly. So after having a very frustrating time getting a hold of someone at the Fremont office (was hung up on the first time and randomly transferred to Texas the 3rd time I called, I managed to change my reservation to the only other option available, a smaller truck at a closer location at 10am. So I show up on that day to get my truck and not only is my truck not there, there are 2 other people trying to pick up UHAULS that are nowhere to be found. The man working there told me I was not even on his reservation list. After hearing this man tell the couple in front of us that there were no trucks available in town, I become even more frustrated. At this point I called the Fremont office back again and was able to secure a truck in a different part of town at 11am. I was offered no sort of a discount after all this mess and will most likely never use UHAUL again. It's not worth all the stress this experience called.

I am a little unhappy that the drop off of the truck was not accounted for in my mileage online say you get 1 day and 100 miles but then the guy tells me only 94miles that's 6 miles I loose out on. He only accounted for my trip from my address to the place i moved to so i had no choice but to ofcource yo hovr my mileage. This is very disappointing!

Drop off was so simple and easy - loved it! A little bummed also because online I was quoted that the truck was 140$ plus fee for insurance and additional mileage - but in person we were charged 199 (including tax) which is a lot more than I was initially quoted online.

This place owner is a lier. This owner rented me a truck with damage on the top. When he gave me this truck, he didn’t mention there were damages and didn’t show me the truck around either. He just said he want he want my signature on the paper work. When I turned this truck in at another uhaul location, people work there found it. I claimed i didn’t do that and tried to verify this with him. He didn’t Admit all of this. Thanks god I bought the full insurance for this rental. THIS BUSINESS OWNER IS SO BAD. Dont ever rent trucks at this place.

I expect at the very least that the truck size I reserve online and verify via phone is there for me as scheduled. I did not get the 15 ft I requested online (supposedly available at the location I requested), the 17 ft I was offered instead via phone, but a 10ft truck. I had to make 2 trips instead of one and get moving help for twice as long due to this. The gentleman at the location was cordial, however I did not get what I ordered and my well-planned move took twice as long as it should have.

Though the truck had 456 miles on it, the previous renter destroyed the bed liner. They had poured hot asphalt in the bed which melted the tarb and warped the Berliner, I mention this because he questioned me about it even though we had a discussion about it when I picked up the vehicle. Never was the Anything.....anything about th rental discussed , ie: rate, mileage fee, vehicle operation etc. fortunately I bought the damage waiver. As he went in to ring it up, I asked for two things, a receipt because I had to provide paperwork upon my return, and I asked for a mileage charge discount being that I drove 100+ miles. His response was.....nothing as he ignored me. I went in the building to ask for a receipt he said no the total is 165.00, 165 for two days and 100 miles? I could have went elsewhere and paid .49 cents not .89 that's absurd. I wouldn't rent from you had I known I'd get ignored in addition to being screwed on price. Well thanks so much, Should I contact my bank and question these charges?

The pickup and dropoff were fine. As was the equipment. The reservation system was a disaster and enough to make me not want to rent through U-Haul again. The reservation was handled by the Monterey U-Haul shop. No mention was made that the reservation may/may not be filled. after 30 minutes on hold waiting for one of your service people, I was told, and emailed a guarantee that the trailer would be available at the Monterey shop at a certain time. It wasn't, and "luckily" they found another trailer available that required me to drive 90 extra miles to secure. I was on a tight time frame and at that point had no other options. I found your "guarantee" worthless since there wasn't a trailer available at the spot I reserved as promised and guaranteed.

Provide a reasonable amount of mileage in the base rate. Otherwise, it feels like a bate and switch. I only drive 10 miles and the cost, including gas, was over twice the "advertised" rate. Bummer.

Was told over the phone they would hold a box truck for me but as soon as I got there, they gave it to someone else. They were able to get me a van but it took twice as long. I was pleased they were operating on a holiday. I would recommend this location. Vehicle was brand new had about 5000 miles on it, and drove very nicely. Service was friendly in the store and manager was very helpful despite the mishap about not having the box truck.

It wasnt the locations fault, though clearer signage suggesting there is a uhaul office at this location would be nice. The uhaul website however lead me to believe that I could use my phone to checkout on my own. It took forever, with slow load times and complete lack of functionality in the app (it simply locked up) after about 40 mins of dicking around in the lot waiting to get into a truck, I find out I need to get a key from someone. I wish I was told that at the beginning because the online process was a complete waste of time and the office I eventually found wound up being infinitly more helpful.
