very bad service. was not a nice to pick up a truck there. took me over 30 mins to get the truck and had to drive straight to the gas station as the tank was almost empty. supposedly the truck had been running all night. the guy at the counter just said: "maybe someone was sleeping in it overnight" Now received my receipt this morning. missing the agreed discount for changing location and didn't have the truck I booked (got a call about this less than 24hrs before my move). further it seems like I'm being billed for refueling the truck which I agreed with the guy at the counter wouldn't happen as I only got the truck with 1/16 of a tank Not doing Uhaul again

I checked in online the night before but when arriving at the pickup location I apparently had to check in all over again with an employee who didn't seem to know how to check me in and was unable to accept credit cards as IDs as there was no card reader. At the end of a very frustrating checkin process he was unable to print out a rental contract. We took the reserved van, which was in good condition and clean, without the contract - probably not advised. The rest of our day went smoothly but I will not rent from this location in the future, nor would I recommend it.

I was rented a trailer whose tail lights did not work. I was not able to tow the vehicle I rented the trailer to tow. On the way back one of the tail lights fell out it had been affixed to the trailer with electrical tape. It was a horrible experience and as a columnist I plan on publishing about well as writing a horrific review on every site I can think of.



- fuel gauge was not accurate - "check engine" light was on...could feel significant problem with engine's down shifting while braking on a downhill...this should be addressed ASAP

The actual office was not well kept, but the the guy who helped us was very helpful. U-haul had made a change to our reservation, but didn't notify us and this guy tried to resolve the issue, which unfortunately couldn't be done. But he tried to be as accommodating as possible.

The location was not at all in a good part of Stamford. The check in was in a trailer that smelled of smoke/cigarettes. The van was great which was all we cared about I think a better location should be considered Why can t Hope St. be a site.

I tried twice to rent on jefferson st in stamford ct location and the employee Heather was so rude over the phone and than I went in personally and still she was being rude and disrespectful I ask for my Id and license back and left to this other l9cation that was done over the phone I will never recommend any one to the jefferson location.



Took 1 week to get confirmation that my trailer was received. I was reported to the U-Haul Equipment Recovery Department who I then had to communicate with them times 2 to explain what had happened. This experience was horrible and uncharacteristic of my past U-Haul experiences.

Weekend hours are short and not as convenient as other uhaul sites in the area.



Agent was very helpful - I had misplaced something so I call two days after I had returned truck and agent searched the vehicle when it was returned and called me - even on the memorial day weekend Thanks - great service

The physical space is well below standard. However the service from the person there well above average. He was quick efficient and made the transaction easy



Too many cats around the building. The gentleman working inside was smoking inside the building, wasnt very pleasant and was very short. Walked into the building, he had his shirt up. Which wasnt even a uhual uniform and his hands down his pants. Very unprofessional. because the location did not seem clean, I didnt buy my boxes from this site. i went to home depot and paid the extra money for boxes since I didnt feel very welcomed or comfortable here.



First of all, our reservation had been cancelled. We did not know this until we went to the Jefferson St location which the online reservation had directed us to. The actual 10' truck we had reserved was at the Faifield Avenue address, so we had to drive to that location to get the truck, after the reservation was reinstated. I forgot to mention that the Jefferson St location had no record of us in the system, cancelled or otherwise. We had everything timed so that we could bring a dinner we had prepared, to my wife's Mother, in an assisted living facility in Stamford. We were over an hour and a half late because of the huge mix up. She is 88 and was very tired by the time we got there, she ran out of oxygen in her wheel chair, etc., etc. I think you get the picture. It was a mess. $50 was supposed to be put back on my wife's card, because the reservation was cancelled, but it has not showed up at this point. I don't know what else you could do to make up for the inconveniece, but I will leave that up to you. We had rented a 26' truck from a Babylon location a week earlier which went fairly smoothly. Our experience with your Stamford location was a disaster.

The customer service was unacceptable since I suppose to pick up the truck in White plains, NY and I called the 800 number to confirm it. But it turned out there was no truck available and I had to drive extra 40 miles to stamford, CT to pick up the truck. I was told by traffic department that I will get $50 credit back for the inconvenience and end up getting nothing when I payed the bill. It was a very unpleasant experience for me and I would't recommend to any of my friend.

Listen, I will never bring a vehicle back when the attendant is not at the facility again. I filled the gas back up, after driving 37 miles. I put $20 back into the tank.. right down the street from where the facility was. Yet, I was still charged $35 in gas fees?

This is a small location, essentially a trailer. I was just dropping off after hours, so it was not a big deal. They got the mileage and fuel level right so how can I complain? My U-Haul experience over the last two years has been very good. Friendly, competent, good equipment and reasonably priced.
