Your employees needed to be absolutely clear to reiterate to the client on the pick up and return policy . They never mentioned to me they if you DO NOT record or take photo on the TEXT they send you you get extra fees added in EVEN though I returned within the legal time , added my gas , checked my vehicle And mileage with the ATTENTANT present , they conveniently FORGET to tell you it must be posted in the app, they got me a few times and added over $60.00 on my credit card . Beware they try to scam !!!!

Absolute worst 1050 Bay Street Staten Island Messed up my reservation For after hours pick up Was stranded during a quarantine after crossing Verrazano to pick up my truck only to have the system having a glitch and not allowing me to pick up my truck called customer service only to be transferred 8 times until someone finally adjusted my reservation for another truck 30 minutes away Wasted my time and money No courtesy refund for a portion. No extended extra miles or waivers. Complete worst horrible nightmare experience By the time I got home after 3 hours of running around which was only supposed to be 30 minutes I was so physically exhausted I didn’t have any energy to pack and move Was delayed the following morning and my landlord who was expecting me to vacate at a certain time withdrew my deposit. This is not a made up story. This was probably one of the worst experiences of my entire life and uHaul did nothing to correct their mistake

The prices are very inflated... Last year I rented a 4x8 trailer and drove from Seattle to NY for less then $400. I’m currently in the middle of a move... from NY to Ohio 1/5th the distance and has costed me over $450 for a 4X8. I need a larger trailer for the final leg of my trip to Seattle, and it’ll cost me over $800 for the size up. My girlfriend and I both lost our jobs due to COVID19 and it’s forced us to Leave our apartment in Brooklyn. It’s sad that places like Uhaul are profiteering off people suffering from the current pandemic. Our country is at war with with sickness and Uhaul is raking in the profits. I’ve heard this called “War Profiteering” before. I’ll do my best not to use Uhaul in the future. I’ll tell people of my experience with how I was in a time of need and places like Uhaul took advantage of that. Our country is suffering, will Uhaul provide affordable moving services? Or profiteer from those suffering?

There is no sign telling us where to enter at the Port Richmond, Staten Island location.Therewas a fence around the location with no indication of where to enter. I made a call to UHaul, and they told me someone would call me back from the location -- they never did. We tried to call the location direct. Since there was no answer, we got someone in corporate who fumbled around on Google maps to try and find the location's entrance. We did a second dry run that evening, and there was a locked gate. We were not concerned since this was after business hours. On the morning of the pickup, we pulled up and the gate was locked. We parked the car in front of the gate, and when we got inside, we were told that that was not the entrance and that we needed to enter on the next block. Once we got in the facility, it was clean and modern. The people were helpful as well and made sure we had what we needed for our trip. Just make the entrance to this location easier to find!

Got a flat tire, customer service took forever and because I was close to a toll on the highway I had to pay to have it repaired. The tow truck driver told me to drive slow because of something with under the hitch. Still have not heard back from Customer service after I made the return.
