The van that was picked up was filled with some sort rocks and dust from who ever used it! My husband had to clean it out before we could have put my daughter’s mattress in it and was charged more then I expected!! Will never use AGAIN!!

I had Truck scheduled 2 weeks in advance. Get a call at 5pm the day before pickup telling me the Truck has issues and can't be rented. Had to pickup Truck at a different location. We got Truck loaded and went to drive it but the power steering pump went on it. Didn't get fixed until the following day costing us an extra hotel stay. I have used U-Haul in the past with no issues but this time was a poor experience.

I reserved a car trailer at my local u haul, when I arrived they did not have one I was told to go to another location about 25 minutes from my house I called customer service and asked to return it to my local u haul being that was where I was supposed to pick it up I was told NO that I would be charged double for dropping it off at the wrong place Way to work with the customer I'll go else where next time u haul its not my fault you didn't have one at my location

Truck I was provided for my 3,000 mile drive had horrible alignment; I had to hold the steering wheel at "10 O'Clock" to drive straight. This was the only 15' truck at this location so I was basically forced to take the bad truck to complete my move. Also of note, no auxiliary plug-in to listen to music other than regular radio. No bluetooth, no usb, and no cruise control -- all makes for an uncomfortable long distance drive!

I arrived to pick up the auto transport 15 minutes prior the store opening on Tuesday May 2, 2017. The owner of the u-haul at butler park in Stroudsburg was unprofessionally late by almost 30 minutes!! The "office" Looked like an unkempt home, there were things all over the place. It did not look like a business at all. I let him know right away I would need to drop the transport off in Easton and that there was a mistake on my order for the transport. He immediately told me it would cost more I let him know that would not be a problem It would be out of my way to drop it back in Stroudsburg when my total trip ends in Easton. He then suggested just to back track to Stroudsburg costing me an extra hour and thirty minutes saying that "it will be cheaper." The extra $30 that he said it would cost me did not bother me if it saved me that time. He was giving me a hard time and It seemed like he was doing everything he could keep me from dropping it off in Easton. At that moment he called up the u-haul direct line to try to find me another transport over an hour out of my way. I did not understand why it would be such a problem to drop it at another authorized u-haul center. I also asked if he had ratchet straps that I would be willing to purchase. He said he did not have anything for me. I was put off by that. While making my reservation I had the option to purchase them and have them ready with the transport. Why is that an option if he claims he does not have the supplies that people would need while using a transport like this. He then said in a joking tone to try to sound nice "I don't want you to really have it." He then told me that he would prefer I did not drop it off at Easton because his friend reserved the auto transport for Friday and did not want to inconvenience him. Since the owner was so late to arrive I was already behind on time so I finally agreed on the extra time that I would have to waste just to convenience his friend that seems way more important that any customer. When we went to finalize the transport he said have you used a trailer before I let him know it has been about 10 years. He said just "cross the chains you'll be fine." He did not come out to help or check if the vehicle I brought would be sufficient. I am a paying customer and I felt belittled by him trying to put his friends preference over mine when his friend wants a transport three days later. If he was a friend why couldn't the owner drive the thirty minutes to pick up the transport from Easton Pa or get the one he suggested I pick up instead at Hackettstown NJ which is 40 minutes in the opposite direction of the way I was travelling. Overall I had a terrible experience the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced especially from a business owner. I would not recommend him or his service to anyone. i would suggest going to budget. I used reservation form for a speed checkout for when I arrived to save on time. With him being la
