I told to uhaul salesperson what I was moving and was given a larger trailer which meant I spent more on gas and had lots of extra room. The trailer was about 3 times larger than what I needed. I tried to exchange it and they said they were not allowed to do that. I am not pleased that I paid for more trailer than I used.

THE DROP OFF LOCATION YOU SELECTED WAS NOT IN THE SUMTER CITY LIMITS!!!! I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO TALK TO SCHEDULING TO GET THEM TO CHANGE THE LOCATION. EVERY TIME I WAS SUPPOSEDLY TRANSFERRED (3) THE PHONE RANG AND RANG FOR AT LEAST 6 MINUTES WITH NO ANSWER. THE SAME OCCURRED THE THREE TIMES I CALLED TO THE DIRECT NUMBER I WAS GIVEN. ONE TIME I HELD PHONE FOR 11 MINUTES WITH NO ANSWER. ALL TOLL I SPENT ALMOST 2 HOURS ON PHONE MAKING RESERVATION AND TRYING TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE SITUATION UHAUL HAD CAUSED. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO TRY TO FIND A COMPANY OTHER THAN UHAUL. THE PEOPLE AT BOTH LOCATIONS MENTIONED ABOVE WERE VERY NICE AND TRIED TO BE HELPFUL BUT DUE TO YOUR SYSTEM THERE HANDS WERE TIED.

This is not a reflection of Rogers Appliance where the truck was rented but of U-Haul itself. I WAS NOT MADE AWARE THAT THERE WAS A $0.99 PER MILE CHARGE FROM U-HAUL WHEN I MADE MY RESERVATION. TOTALLY SHOCKED WHEN I PICKED MY TRUCK UP.

Scheduled for the truck to get picked up Friday night and returned Saturday night (24 hr) got a call Saturday morning to turn in the truck said it wasn't reserved for that ... but the email confirmed it. Then changed it to keep the truck because I was already charged again for Saturday ... very angry extra money spent when it wasn't my mistake but the business!!!

When I came to the rental center to rent a 17' truck on Saturday evening, none was available. When we waited and pondered other options, a 17' truck was drove in which was being returned. We felt so blessed that we could get what we wanted. We got the keys, and waited until the agent checked the miles & gas. but nothing more was checked. We had to ask the onsite personnel to put a hand truck on the truck for us. He was in such a rush to get us out. We were told that the truck needed to be returned on Sunday evening by 3:--PM. I kept calling the telephone # listed on the paperwork, but was unable to make contact because no one was at the business location. Therefore, I was given incorrect information and when I did return the truck on Monday morning, the onsite personnel was a bit rude and had an attitude. I was NEVER told that I should bring the truck back by 9:00am on Monday morning. Because I have had positive experiences with U-Haul in the past, I will use the services of U-Haul again, but NEVER from that store again. Even since that terrible experience with U-Haul from the Rogers Appliance Store, I have rented a U-Haul truck from another establishment with positive results. to anyone needing a U-Haul truck/van, GO /RUN to another location for professional services. However, if you find yourself in a bind and MUST go to the Rogers Appliance location, check the vehicle carefully yourself before leaving the premises and take your own professionalism there with you because you will surely not find any there. But as for me, NEVER AGAIN!

The place is a dump! Really need to present themselves better. It's run out of used appliance center. The office area is a mess and not organized. Seems very dirty, like you wouldn't sit in a chair if you had one.

Be honest and truthful about equipment. Rented a van and returned to the point where I picked it up. No damages found when returned , but now a scratch has been found on passenger side. I think they are"finding" damages after you turn the equipment to the company.

We picked up our van and no one did a walk through with us to ensure that there were no damages to the van prior to us using it.... the van smelt awful inside as if someone had been chain smoking and moving cattle inside the van... we returned the van and they claim we took a light fixture off and it is damaged now... not the case at all... when I called to speak about it I was speaking with a woman about the issue I asked her a question and then it was like I was on speaker and a man joined the conversation saying that he was doing me a favor and I was in the wrong. I have had great experiences with uhual and this is not one of them... very poorly run and it’s sad that people like this will give uhual a bad name for their company.

How you can help the customer! 1. Do not have THE CUSTOMER on hold for 31 minutes! 2. When the customer tells 3 different agents that his plain 2008 Honda Accord will not fit on the trailer BELIEVE THE CUSTOMER!!!!!! 3. When the customer tells the agent that no one is at the dealer at 2:00 in the afternoon and the 2nd location they say to go to has all phones and internet disconnected BELIEVE THE CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. 2ND TIME : DO NOT HAVE THE CUSTOMER ON HOLD AGAIN for 19 minutes. Needless to say by this time I was in a rage and HIGHLY FRUSTRATED, because no one would BELIEVE THE CUSTOMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! # 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When John Dean called me, he expressed such a strong and pleasant conviction that the problem will be corrected that I immediately calmed down and patiently waited. I wish that I had the words to express the professionalism, the courtesies, the patience and gentle and confident manner of John. Finely: NOT BELIEVING A CUSTOMER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! BEING ON HOLD IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! GIVING THE CUSTOMER INCORRECT INFORMATION ON DEALERS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! DEALERS NOT BEING OPEN WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN NOT ACCEPTABLE! ALL CONFIDENCE IN YOUR COMPANY IS NOW GONE REGARDLESS OF HOW HARD JOHN WORKED! he can not correct the corporate culture of NOT BELIEVING THE CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!!
