Booked the truck to walk to in Sun City. Wanted to drop off the truck at the Green Valley location at a chevron so I could fill the tank at the drop off point. Shortly before our move, we walked to the Sun City True Value location to learn he could not find our online reservation. He told us we would probably not pick it up in Sun City. Your online reservation was just a suggestion! We called UHaul and was told we would probably have to pick the truck up in Surprise, 10 miles away. My wife was supposed to stay at home with our dog and stay for the movers for the second truck we rented for movers to lift the heavy furniture. Now, we had to leave the home and leave the movers alone in our home to pick up the UHaul truck. The day before we moved, we received a call from UHaul saying our pickup location was only 2 miles away which was good BUT the drop off location was changed because there were too many trucks at the Chevron location! That was the whole point. To drop it off at a location near a gas station for convenience to fill it up after use. We got to the pickup location and the lady had trouble finding the key to the truck in the lockboxes. Took 20 minutes. I had to take photos of the truck. I checked that the truck was clean as I assumed it meant the inside of the truck where you load your belongings. The outside of the truck was dirty, the windshiled was covered in bugs and there was grease or oil on the driver side floor mat. The gas tank was only at 5/16 of a full tank so I had to stop at a gas station to fill up just to drive to Green Valley, AZ approximately 140 miles away. I thought the trucks were full of gas on pickup? When I left the pickup location, I noticed through the bugs on the dirty windshield there was a crack in the windshiled on the passenger side. I showed the photo to the gentleman when I dropped the truck off. I have no idea whether there was a record of the crack when the previous client rented it. I told the person who was nice at the drop off location, is it my responsibility to wash the truck, clean the windshield, clean the oil or grease off the floormat from the previous person who rented it? I also returned the truck with more gas than I had when I picked the truck up. Bottom line, the automated system saves on labor costs for UHaul but is quite problematic for the person renting the vehicle. There is no guarantee you get your pick up location, no guarantee the truck is full of gas, no guarantee you get your drop off location, no guarantee that the truck cab is clean or the truck has been washed and no guarantee UHaul saw the crack in the windshield from the previous driver. Overall, a very frustrating experience. Never again.

CLAY WThe puckup location had motion activated cameras that kept telling me to go away. Super stupid and unwelcome to renters of the equipment. When I was trying to figure out how to use the app, that bullshit didn't help. Also, the app sucks. The forms timed out or didn't accept the data. Poor user experience with the uhan application. There is nothing about this location that was helpful. The application didn't even scan their location barcode.
