The process went very smooth from reserving the truck to check in and pick up. The truck was very well maintained and had a ramp which made the move easier and quicker. The appliance dolly was helpful in moving the washer and dryer from storage to our new home. I would use this particular U-Haul rental location again.

I called ahead because I had to walk/run 3 miles up a mountain to get to the location and wanted to be sure they had a truck with a hitch to pull my camper. On the phone, the female employee told me she had some trucks that would work. When I arrived and told her I had called, she changed and said she didn’t think any of her trucks would work for me and pointed up the hill and told me to go look for myself. I checked several trucks and didn’t see the right hitch connection and went back to tell her so. She never got up from her chair the whole time. She said that I didn’t give her enough information on the phone and told me their trucks would not work for my needs. I went back to the trucks and found several with the right connection for my needs and went back to let her know, but she was locking the office door and said she already clock ed out for lunch and insisted that I leave the premises. I begged her to finish my rental before she left but she refused and forced me to leave the premises for an hour while I waited for her to come back from lunch. When she returned, her attitude was not much friendlier, and she rudely showed me how she still didn’t think the hitch would work for me needs when it was a standard 2” hitch just like we discussed over the phone to begin with. This whole process took me 3 hours and they had the right equipment the whole time. Had the employee got out of her chair and walked with me to look at the trucks then this wouldn’t have happened. I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. I will do anything I have to to NEVER EVER use U-Haul again after how she treated me at Nathans Body Shop & Wrecker Service 3251 US Hwy 441 N Sylva, NC 28779
ROBERT MSamantha at this U-Haul location was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, professional, and provided outstanding customer service during a very stressful situation. I had an 8:00 AM reservation at another U-Haul location, but no one was working there. I waited well over an hour, the on-site employee never answered the phone, and their voicemail was full—so I couldn’t even leave a message. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had a moving company waiting at my residence. Samantha stepped in and truly saved the day. She was helpful, efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Her positive attitude and willingness to help completely turned my experience around. I can’t thank her enough and highly recommend this U-Haul because of her excellent service.
