The truck was just slightly dirty. I wish I would have swept the bed out before loading things, my couch got a little dirty....but that's my fault for not checking. The cab was clean. I did get confused on self pickup instructions and ended up waiting an extra hour until staff came. Again, my fault. Staff were excellent, and extremely helpful. I'll use them again.

I scheduled a truck to be rented from U-Haul. I arrived at my scheduled time of 9am to pick up my cargo van. When I arrived, my order that I procured via your mobile app was nowhere to be found. Like, it had just disappeared from the system. So I called U-Haul to make sure I could still pick up my truck. I waited on hold for about 20 minutes until someone finally got to me. I told her my issue, and she sent me to another section where I water on hold for an additional 15 minutes. Then as that person found my order and showed me how to go online to fix the problem, my order time changed to 11am. When I told the person about the time change, she said she would “be right back.” I then waited an additional ten minutes on hold only to be hung up on. No one attempted to call me back, even though I know you have my phone number associated with this order. So I came back at 11 to pick up the truck. Mind you, I had hired a worker to do some work with me from 9-1. So when we finally picked the truck up at 11, I was only able to have this guy work for me for two hours, though I had to pay him for four hours work. So that's an extra $70 I'm out for your services not being available. What can you do to improve? 1. Staff your phone lines better 2. If/when you hang up on someone, CALL THEM BACK! Seriously, that was terrible customer service. 3. Don't allow people to schedule rentals at a time when the truck cannot possibly be picked up. It cannot be that hard to figure out your own system. 4. When you screw up, own it. I sent the comments above to U-Haul, and when they replied (thankfully quickly) no one even said they were sorry for my experience. 5. Again, own your mistakes. U-Haul issued a $50 reservation guarantee to me, which wouldn't have been done had I not asked. They should have (and still should) refunded my entire experience, and given me a credit for the worker I had to pay extra, and for the extra time during the day I had to spend working on my own because of the time screwup. 6. Go above and beyond. Creating good customer service can be difficult. But it isn't as hard as you seem to be making it. Please try harder.


The staff here is amazing. The ambiance of the office is welcoming and inviting. I loved the property manager, he is extremley friendly.

The inside of the van was all dirty as there was all dirt in it. But overall was clean. I had a hard time opening the side door not until I opened it from the inside. This is something that you need to test it before taking the vehicle. The representative didn't notify me with these problems.

When I went to get into the rental truck, there was someone's clothing on the hood such as a sock and pads from a bra. I requested padded furniture blankets when I made the reservation and then when I picked it up, I was advised they didn't have any available. I feel bad commenting on this bit the employee at the front counter kept falling asleep during the initial check in to get the keys. It was very awkward as I didn't know what to say or do. I'm guessing it was a medical condition, just awkward as a customer.

Exceptional human kindness I received from Mr. Anthony Ambrosio (Manager)... He was so happy to rent me his new Van. I was careless and unthoughtful to check its condition upon return. He still treated me with utmost respect! This is the kind of character we need to heal our ailing Nation. His patience and forgiveness taught me very special ways to treat others next time. I have used several U haul times spent thousands of dollars . I had problems at every U haul Location I used . I will never refer anyone to U haul or if I can help it use the company again . I need the van for one year . Because of the bad service and unable to get correct billing and ZI information . I discontinued my contract and took my business to another company .

AJ was absolutely amazing. He was very kind and courteous suring our check in and gave us water. He noticed I was charged incorrectly by a different company and took the extra effort to fix it and saved me almost $100. I cannot thank him enough. There was a tiny snafu about a dolly, but he was so helpful and went above and beyond to remedy the situation even though we chose not to use it in the end. This is the example of what customer service should be.
