I reserved a 6x12 open trailer a week in advance & when I got there they tried to give me a trailer with bald tires and a broken top rail, when I pointed out the defects I was told they didn't have any more trailers that size and if I wanted they could call another uhaul that was approx. 25mi away. My only other option was a smaller trailer and I would have to make multiple trips ! How is this OK ???

im upset because i had to pick it up in Taunton, i wanted to pick up in either Rockland or Abington. so i opted to pick up in Taunton 40 miles further than i wanted to drive. Then i asked if i could drop off in Abington and was told no, so i had to be charged additional miles to drop it off well out of my way.

I did not get the 2 dozen furniture pads and a furniture dolly that I had ordered. This caused me to make additional trips which used up more miles and muscle. Made the move 2x harder. Was asked by customer service to pick up the forgotten items in a POV on day of move during move.

To start on a positive note, the gentlemen that I worked with once I arrived to pick up my reservation were extremely accommodating in spite of the truck I reserved not being there. So, this review has nothing to do with them. However, I had issues reserving a truck through the 1-800 number to the point that I reserved it, got a confirmation e-mail and then was called by a woman who told me that in fact that e-mail was not a confirmation e-mail and proceeded to tell me that it said nothing along the lines of confirmation. I informed her that it did and that it was strange that I was getting this phone call from her telling me they could not fulfill my reservation. She told me that the "customers are the problem" in this because "they do not understand". I have worked in many customer service jobs and I believe that the "customer is always right". She did not offer to help me find another truck and suggested that I just call the 1-800 number back. I told her that I did not have the time to spend on the phone again only to get another call like this. She basically had nothing to say to me and so I decided to call uhaul stores directly as it appeared that the people on the 1-800 number really did not have access to the information about truck reservations. Overall, my experience with uhaul was poor and I will likely be doing my very best to not rent from uhaul again. Typically I use Penske and find that not only is their customer service much better, they also have much nicer trucks at better rates.

The rep (William Mancini) that waited on us was friendly, courteous, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. One item of note: The van was on 3/8 of a tank when I left. I returned it with 3/8 of a tank. In fact, the needle was slightly above the 3/8 tick mark. I returned it after hours. However, when I received my bill I was charged for 1.5 gallons of gas. I should not have been charged and would like the $6.00 refunded.

The staff refused to change the vehicle. The manager was not cooperative and not polite. When a customer request for a vehicle change, as long as there are other available vehicles, the vehicle should have been changed.

I made a reservation but there were no 17 ft or 20 ft trucks. The good news that there was a 26 ft truck that was available and was able to use that. Had there not been a truck, that would have put a project at risk that had been planned for months -- that needs to be fixed.

My only suggestion is to cut the charges for miles. Very expensive. Insurance is reasonable. Daily rate is good.

It wasnt clean in back of van . i had to clean it out before i put my things in there. I also had to come back there so they could fix cargo light that wouldnt go out. But the gentleman that rented it to me was great.

The driving compartment was dirty (i.e. dashboard, seats, inside windshield, drink storage units). The driving compartment smelled stale. Upon return, followed the signs instructing the renters to return equipment and wait. No one came to us (there were four vehicles waiting). Renters left vehicles and went into the office and were instructed they could just leave. Remove the signs stating you should wait or ensure there is someone there to receive returning renters.

The Manager William Called (Bill ) was very very rude to me and told me to leave his store after he messed up my contract!!! I rented the last few weeks a van, three different sizes trucks and a trailer ! I am very dissapointed with the service how I was treated in Taunton ! In Carver, and in Plymouth I was treated very nice I would always go back there, but not ever going back to the place in Taunton on route 44 close to Benny's .

Wonderful people at this location!! I couldn't figure out how to adjust the passenger side mirror so that is a lesson learned for me, but maybe a helpful hint for the next person!! Would definitely rent from this location again!
