The two men working at the counter were very nice, but one was extremely difficult to understand (he mumbled a lot). I asked the man helping me a couple of times about a tax exemption for our nonprofit. Yet, when he rang me up, he still included tax. He had to back out of the transaction and go through the tax exempt process. This transaction took much longer than it should have.

I was told the only place I could pick a Uhaul up is the Washington location which is down town. I just wanted to get one early morning, so I made the reservation online. When I got in the location with was 14.4 miles from my home and 9.9 from where I was moving to the employee James who was wonderful explained that I should have not had to come to that location there were 2 more closer and would have cost me less. I didnt have time to switch locations and I had people arriving to help me. I ended up spending money I dont really have and moving is expensive. Add insult to injury I pass one of your locations on yhe way back with plenty of trucks. I followed the guidance of the Uhal representative on the phone.

I ordered a dozen blankets and I was not given them. Attention to detail needs to improve. Clarity and instructions need to be given. This was the first time I rented a haul and I wasn't sure what to do. I was left with a truck and told to check to make sure everything was ok. It would have been nice if someone opened the back and made sure I had everything I ordered. Also, the gas tank was 3/4 full for a long trip out of town. I had to fill up before I left town and then again when I dropped it off. Very inconvenient .

The woman there was of no help. Was more concerned about playing on her phone than helping me. Gave me the keys and didn't even look at the truck and told me it was in the front row first truck. It was in the last row last truck. There was barely enough room for me to back out. The womans attitude about the whole and lack of professionalism I don't think I will ever use uhaul again. That is saying something since my father and soon to be brother in law used to work for uhaul and always had great things to say. The woman should be fired and you should put someone that actually care enough to do their job. She also yelled at my brother in law because he threw away a water bottle in the trash can while we where wait for our ride.

There is no entrance on the street where the address is, and no instructions or signs were found for how to get to the entrance. Being downtown, it can be very confusing trying to figure out all the one-way streets and such. We were told we could pick up at a different location that was more convenient, but learned when we called to verify pickup that we had to go elsewhere. We had no prior notification of the change of location.

I worked with both Kira and Ciarra and they were both excellent; responsive, proficient and good representatives for your company and location. They only thing I would complain about, and it is NOT to be held against either employee, is that several of your units have large 3' diameter support poles in the unit, but you don't discount the size of the pole from the size of the unit. A 10'x10' unit is NOT 100 sq ft, if there is a floor-to-ceiling 3' diameter pole in the middle of the unit. I understand the age and design of the building make dealing with the poles difficult, but you could have built 3x7 empty spaces around the poles so they did not eat into the actual units; I'm sure those will not be rented as 10x10 units; which means you'll miss out on 100% rent of a 10x10 unit instead of 3x7. Just my opinion. Anyways, the facility is excellent, employees are excellent and I wish you luck in downtown Toledo!

I was switched to an inconvenient location other than the site I signed up to, to pick up my truck. Was 1/2 way to my location and the engine light came on. I had to drive back to U-Haul and get another truck.

During the process of picking up the uHaul, I spoke to 4 different associates and they ALL gave me different answers as to what I was allowed and not allowed to do for pickup. It was extremely frustrating. The uHaul wreaked of cigarettes, and it was completely out of gas! I almost didn't make it to the gas station. On top of that, I was required to return the uHaul with a 1/4 tank of gas or I would have been charged. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Because it took hours longer than anticipated and I had to call to get a jump start, UHaul customer services were very polite, understanding and helped me to get back on the road quickly and effortlessly. I arrived at uhaul location on Detroit street, which was where I preordered my van. They said they did not have the size van available (even though I ordered it weeks in advanced and had a confirmation call says before). I had to drive across town to the Washington street location. When I arrived, the man working did not know what he was doing, and it took him over 35 minutes to check me in. My original pickup time of 8:00 turned into 9:00.
