When I arrived I was notified that Uhaul doesn't guarantee its reservations, size of truck, length of time rented. I needed a 26' truck for 24 hours. I was told that I could have the 26' truck but for a much shorter period of time and was offered a 10' truck. This was absolutely unacceptable. I took the 26' and kept it for the 24 hours I needed it for, because that is what I reserved. The owner of the shop left me voicemail demanding I return his truck immediately. I paid the rate for the (2) day rental but will never rent from Uhaul again. This was such a frustrating experience and I'm sure the people who also rented the 26' truck who didn't get it were upset also. I think its absolutely ridiculous that you let people make reservations that are not going to be honored.

I had reserved my truck for the "preferred location" of main St in Manchester. Every email communication I received after the initial one which stated "385 Main St Manchester" simply said "Main St" with no town identified. I called the day before my reservation and moved the pickup time from 8:30 to 9:30 and confirmed the location as Manchester- I was assured this was correct. Saturday morning, the day of my move, I arrived at the Manchester location to no truck- the only thing designating this facility as a uhaul location was a key drop box. I called and spoke to a rep who was rather rude. She asked me, "what email are you looking at? They all say hartford". I assured her none of them said Hartford. She ultimately found me another truck in tolland. This added 23.4 miles to my trip which cost me $23 more than I should've had to spend. This is unacceptable and added a great deal of stress to an already stressful day. I would like to be reimbursed for the extra fees I had to incur through no fault of my own.

The drop-off location in Tolland looks like a vehicle cemetery in the back of a shady mechanic/used car establishment. The boy working inside knew how to process the drop-off but beyond that, I couldn’t tell if he worked there or was just visiting a friend who did. We were charged additionally for extra miles and extra time, very off-putting since we’d requested these times and locations ahead of time (as mentioned in my pick-up review). If we’d known about the fees ahead of time, it would’ve been easier to stomach. Furthermore, we’d been told by the two extremely unprofessional people at the pick-up location that “miles didn’t really matter.” I realize that U-Haul isn’t hiring any Rhodes Scholars, but c’mon, at least deny the employees the ability to use their personal phones at the customer service desk. At this point, I think my wife and I would travel to another state to pick-up a moving truck from another company before choosing U-Haul again.

This location did not have all of the equipment that I ordered, specifically a furniture dolly. Not only did they not inform me when I picked up the truck that they could not provide a furniture dolly to fulfill my reservation, they did not remove it from my bill, so when I went to a second location to get the dolly I had ordered, the second location tried to charge me for it, telling me that the dolly needed to be removed from the order by the Tolland location. Overall, this location was very disorganized and created additional work on my part to obtain all the equipment on my original order.

The hot air from the vent by the gas pedal burnt my foot and the employee at that location, said well that's not my problem. I wanted to make them aware of it so that they could fix it for the next customer. They were rude answering questions, it was 748.00 for the Uhaul and I paid cash up front. So, unsatisfied I will use a different company- I will never recommend Uhaul again. And the vehicle itself ran terrible. Would go up to 5 rpm before it would have shift.

Check through vehicle to ensure it's clean and has no defective items. Vehicle had a warning light on when I picked it up. The cab was dirty and appeared to not have been cleaned for some time.

The originally gave me the wrong size I ordered while they had my size on the lot. It took 1 hr 45 minutes to finally get the size I ordered and the truck and windshield was very dirty. I will never use this location again.

They charged my $77.26 which was no problem when I brought the truck back they tried saying I had to pay an additional $109 and made us pay it saying we will get the $77 back. Not very happy

I called and reserved the van and spoke directly to the woman at the Tolland Cotgo she said it was available for the weekend provided the rate and booked it. I received the confirmation email shortly after we spoke and I booked. A day or so before my travel notice another email from U-Haul. Thank goodness I opened it as it was a change to my reservation advising me that my pickup location had changed. Are you kidding me what is I didn't open the email. This is a really bad way to operate. To my surprise I found out that the can was picked up by U-Haul and moved to the Manchester location. So it wasn't that a customer was directly using the van and did not return it to Tolland. This was an extreme inconvenience. After much bantering with the scheduler they returned the can to Tolland of which I am appreciative. Suggestion: Don't tell your customers that they can pickup a vehicle from one location then change the location on them. Poor service model.

Service and location were convenient for my needs. Staff was very accommodating. Having a registration number would be helpful when calling in.I was not given one but luckily there was a truck coming at the time that I needed one.

It's a great location for the UConn campus, but because it is in a gas station, there are limitations. They did not have all the dolly choices and the customer has to wait while the cashier helps gas customers. Overall, it's worth the hassle to be that close to campus. The cashier did her best.

This location is a gas station. The clerk was very busy with gas customers and we had to wait for her to deal with them. No one came out to inspect the truck or to give us any instructions.

This was very disorganized. The clerk was rude. Although I made a reservation, I waited 30 minutes until it was turn while the clerk was busy with other tasks. When I returned the vehicle and only traveled 22 miles, the clerk insisted the fuel tank was full when I took the vehicle. When I received the vehicle the fuel tank was only 3/4 full, although the receipt said it was full. I unfortunately had not checked the receipt until I returned the vehicle. Staff was unaccommodating. Also had to wait again to be checked out.
