There was a homeless man in the back of the truck. It was parked so you had to step into a giant puddle to get in. The pick up location was unclear. And you couldn't read the km on the speedometer after you reached 60km.

I arrived at the location as per my reservation, the attendant didnt give me a printed copy of my contract. When I asked for a copy, it had incorrect information about my reservation. I asked him to correct it and he did but still didnt print me a new contract. Then I went to the vehicle and inspected it, the fuel level were lower in the vehicle than what the contract said. So I had to go back and ask for a change again to the contract. When I returned the vehicle, the location was closed despite it being within the hours they posted, so I called UHaul 1800 number to confirm the return. The person in the Uhaul csutomer center on the phone was barely audible on the phone, so I hung up and called again, this time the agent said I will be charged an extra fee for returning the car when the location was closed. I was fed up and said I will never rent uhaul again. I will go to zipcar or enterprise next time.

My reservation was booked and confirmed by location for 8 AM. When I got there it was closed and a note on the window said that on Saturdays the shift starts at 9 AM. Someone showed up at 8:40 ish . If you can't be at the location earlier please don't accept reservations at such time.

The truck i ordered wasnt available at the location closest to me when made it very inconvenient. I was in Vaughan an had to go all the way to 1301 Gerrard. On a sat afternoon isnt the best, an then had to drop it off sgain at that location. My day was not a pleasant one an very late an long. And then the drop off/return the app didnt wotk or what ever was going on i sat there tryin to upload a picture that wouldnt go. I called customer service an tried the suggestion it still didnt work. It was just a frustrating day...

It was smooth picking up and dropping off the van. But that's about it. 20 dollars for the rental which was advertised. That was about where things went well. My receipt even has the wrong drop off time on it. I used it for 1 day and it says I returned it a day later. How am. I expected to know that some of those km's are all mine? Then these guys hit me with a TON of hidden fees. An extra 40 dollars rental charge!? What is that!? Ridiculous. I used the van for 3 hours. Again, they charged me coverage for $30 when I said no. I've never had a worse experience at Uhaul before. Terrible experience. Would never recommend here. Just go to another location.

it would be super helpful if you had the vehicle ready for the customer on the day of the move. Especially if its 8pm and 10 degrees and we've already been waiting on hold with customer service for 30 minutes, only to find out that you screwed up the reservation. Thanks Uhaul



Easy key-drop service for late night returns.

The location itself was not bad, the experience leading up to it was. One improvement for the location would be: mentioning that there's a second lot down the street would've been nice This was quite an insane, awful and lengthy experience. Before you read, keep these in mind: I am very patient, never raise my voice or let anger/frustration get to me. I also do sales for a living, so I communicate very well. Also, keep in mind I have just returned from a trip, that required 1.5 days of travel, so I'm already exhausted and carrying a suitcase and bag everywhere with me. I'm also not someone who complains, unless it is an extremely poor experience. I rented a 24/7 truck for 9pm pickup (need to be out by 9am next day). Got the confirmation email, and Ubered out to the truck location ($20). Get there, only to find that when attempting to check the truck out online, it keeps telling me that I need to visit a service counter. I then wait for over an hour on hold in the cold, to get to an agent. It takes them 30 minutes to finally figure out that the employee never staged the truck (put the keys out in the lockbox). They tell me to come back tomorrow at 7am, which is not an option. I had to come up with potential solutions like: book a truck from another location. The employee tells me that there's no other trucks available, yet I quickly search online and find a truck that's available. We book a truck, and while going through the reservation process, theres an issue so she cancels the reservation so that I can rebook it. We try to rebook the same truck and it's nowhere to be found (probably due to the cancellation). So now there's no truck available to do my one way move from Toronto to Hamilton (about 80-90km) that I had originally booked. Again the agent recommends coming back at 7am, but to me there's no way that I will get a truck at 7am if I get to a counter at 7am. And I need at least 2 hours to move out, which will not fit my 9am time. I now have to come up with another solution: rent a truck that is not one way (has to be delivered back to the original location). At this point, due to all the hassle this will cause, the extra two trips I will have to make (back from Hamilton to Toronto to drop the truck off, and then returning to Hamilton). We book the truck (across Toronto, at another uHaul), but to confirm the reservation will work, the site/app requires me to be at the location of truck pick up. At this point I'm afraid to take another $20 Uber across town just to find out there's some other issue that will prevent me from renting a truck out. I request speaking to a supervisor/manager to discuss discounts, since this whole mess was caused initially by uHaul, and I shouldn't have to pay for it with my time, money and energy. At the absolute VERY LEAST I should not be paying for the extra km and fuel to return the truck. The manager agrees and outs a note in my account. They say this request has to be done after my renta

I moved my son to West Toronto. The drop-off location was in East Toronto. It took me an hour to get there in traffic. Customer should specify where they should drop off the trailer. The inconvenience was too much.

The first truck I got had a tire in bad condition which popped immediately after leaving the lot - in no way caused by me. I was charged $175 for what I can only assume was to repair this. This is a horrible customer experience and I will be disputing this charge. I only hope that you do the right thing and drop this charge. This is extremely unprofessional and will force me to leave poor reviews for both uhaul and this particular location.

To take interior photos of the vehicle as it is required in order to complete the return vehicle process on line. Some how we missed that step and already dropped the keys in the drop box.

I was offered the option of checking in online. I went through that process, which took me 15 minutes. The process would not complete (it said to wait while an agent verifies my information), so I went into the rental office, where we went through the entire process again in person. I had already visually inspected the truck that I was to rent and then a different truck was given to me. Separately, once the agent gave me my key, I was sent a link that was to have had pictures of the damage on my truck so I could verify it. That link was broken.

It was the WORST experience. I will never consider using Uhaul again. If you want drama on your already stressful moving day, use this company. The whole Uhaul reservation system is not working. We were asked to go to three different locations for the truck that we booked AND confirmed. They will ask you to drop off your truck to two different locations and will threaten to charge you. The guy at this location was extremely rude.

The costume service was really rude to me on the phone. I really didn’t have a great experience and I would not recommend. Hopefully you guys don’t charge me for the extra hours that the car was parked but I didn’t know how to finish the process because the guy on the counter had told me that I only had to park the car and drop off the key in the box.

Was told truck had half tank of gas. Noticed shortly after leaving the lot that it was only 1/4. Returned the truck with 3/8 of a tank and was charged $50. I brought the truck back with more gas than it had initially! I should charge U-Haul an extra $50 for the gas
