This place was a dump. Customer service was inexcusable. Truck was in an aweful condition. Staff wasn't helpful. This was a disgrace. It be ashame to have this place call a uhaul dealer.

The front office entrance of the establishment (mechanical shop) could use an update for professionalism for customer service. Building was not an easy access from road. The outside walk way entrance has no outer handrail and could be an easy danger to a fall for someone. Engine light on in dash is probably due to the gas cap not being the correct cap. (Very loose) Other than that the vehicle was clean enough and fine for what it is used for and the young employee that assisted me was helpful.

Overall customer service. Worker was late to open the office at 8, which was the time of my scheduled and confirmed pick-up. The representative then told me Uhaul didn't open until 9:30. After I showed my confirmation, service was very slow. The location was a junkyard.

Parking is crazy and tight. If you are not an experienced driver for large vehicles it is a problem. I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to attend me in the office. Front tire was underinflated when I picked up the vehicle, I had to find a place to inflate it. Vehicle was quite dirty. Picking up and dropping off with fuel at some random level is inconvenient. Should be full when I pick it up, and I will return the same way.

Trailer was not ready for 10:00am, mechanic shop apparently didn’t have a wrench to tighten up ball hitch, we had to drive to another uhaul location as directed by the greenwood employee.

Too sketchy. I waited in the office for 20 mins and had to call the number to reach somebody and ask them to come out to meet me. The express check in did nothing at all to speed up the process.

Very helpful and quick service. The person taking the rental asked to make sure that I had requested certain things which I found good as a verification point rather than causing later issues. Check Engine & trailer warning lights were on dash throughout rental. No other dashboard issues (i.e. Oil level, temperature, etc.). No issues with the truck in question - maybe a faulty sensor? Mentioned this upon return and was informed that it would be tagged for investigation.

To whom it may concern, I have many items that need to be addressed if I am ever to consider using U-Haul again. First off I notice in our receipt we have been charged $5 for furniture pads we never requested and $5 for a utility dolly that was not requested nor even present in the truck that we rented. These charges were not present when booking the truck online nor when we picked up the truck. At best this is a careless oversight by an employee and at worst a slimy attempt to scam non-vigilent customers. Secondly, I notice here that when we picked up the truck the fuel gauged was at 3/4 full and when we dropped it off it was completely full. Yet I don’t see a credit for the extra gas we provided in the truck. It is very hypocritical to charge above market value for gas when someone doesn’t replace the gas they used during their rental period but then not credit a person for filling it up more then original amount. Talk about double standards… Lastly and the most upsetting part of our experience with U-Haul had to do with our Pick Up Reservation Time and Service. I booked this truck a month in advance online for 7:30 AM. At the time the website said that this time was outside usual business hours but that we could use a self-pick up option. We opted for this as we had an elevator booked for 9 AM sharp with a limited window at both of the buildings to move with an elevator in service. At 7:30 PM the night before our moving date we get a call from an U-Haul representative that blamed us for booking outside their business hours. When I responded saying that the website allowed this and we needed this time he said he would call us back. He never did. The next morning we showed up at the U-Haul location at 7:30 AM and tried the self-pick up instructions in our email which just let to a phone number that then went to a voicemail. We then had to wait until 9:15 AM for someone to show up to get the truck. By the time we got the truck home we were an hour late on our elevator time. This caused for an extremely stressful and rushed move all day. How our situation was handled was terribly unprofessional and showed a complete disregard for customer service or satisfaction. As someone that has owned a business before I can’t believe this how I was treated as a customer. I request a full refund for this rental.

This was an awful experience. I will be unlikely to use UHaul again or recommend to anyone I know. I rented a van well in advance and realized prior to my move that we would need a larger vehicle. I went online, found a larger (15') truck and rented a location close to my home. A few days prior to my move, I received a text confirming my pickup location and vehicle - neither were what I booked. We had been downgraded to a smaller vehicle and the pick up was across town. I phoned Uhaul to review this error and found out the rental location available to select on the website was under construction and not open. Further, no trucks were available in the size I wanted and I could only get a van the same size as my original rental. There wasn't another 15' truck available in the GTA. As it was just a few days prior to my move, we had to accept the downgraded size. I later followed up using your online chat tool and asked for a customer service representative to contact me. I provided my phone number and availability. I have not heard from someone from your company at this time. We picked up the truck, reviewed the terms of reference. At the time the attendant asked about the KM I would be driving, I estimated we would drive about 30 KM (based on two trips across the city). It was not made clear at this time that the number of KM were also associated with an additional vehicle charge if we were to exceed 100 KM. Unfortunately, due to the size of the vehicle, we required four trips across the city. Our move, which I estimate should have taken 6-8 hours with a larger vehicle, took 14 straight hours of moving. It was a relentless, backbreaking day which ended in tears of frustration because of how unequipped we were with the smaller vehicle. We returned the vehicle that evening and were only notified on our emailed invoice that the price we were quoted had almost doubled. Further, I rechecked our trips and mileage with an app and I would contend that we drove closer to 100 KM vs the 149 KM that was recorded on our invoice; however, as I didn't take before and after photos of the odometer I don't have clear proof. Getting an invoice which was close to double what I was quoted was a real clincher on an already stressful and hard day and a disappointing interaction with your company. I have phone in and relayed my experience to the customer service department and have been given a reference number #1603742. At this time, the agent also confirmed there was no record of my earlier interaction with customer service through your website chat live program. I hope to hear from someone from your company within the next few days to see if there is a resolution to this issue.

The customer service was outstanding when I arrived I was greeted with in mins the processing of the truck took mins and I was on my way ...the guy was extremely friendly and explained everything i should know and some great trips . I have already recommended this place to a friend who’s moving shortly and will continue to do so.

I really dislike it when the tank is not full. It's not easy to guestimate what amount of gas is needed to replace what is used. I feel like I'd put in more just to be certain and so then you benefit from that. Always annoys me.
