The receptionist was tired or sleepy. She made an error when processing our transaction which resulted in a decline of one of my cards, then had to hold on a different card. They didn't have the appliance dolly I ordered , so I selected the smaller one by default, which I DID NOT use. Buy she would not give refund. I'm going to use the western Avenue store next time.

The only reason I wouldn't recommend this location is because I didn't even choose this location. I called uhaul to see if I could get a 10' ft truck asap. And this location was booked for me. However, the lady clerk, and both pick up and drop off workers that helped me were very helpful. I would still make my decision on where to get a uhaul based on proximity to where I need it to minimize mileage costs.

The customer service was deplorable. The way the U-Haul employee presented himself was a totally inappropriate. However, the worst part was the truck. It was old, malfunctioning and dirty! A real shame for a company like this!

this place cheats on the gas reading. i know where the gas was upon pickup and thats where i filled it on return but still charged an additional $17+ for the gas as the person was stating its still low. bullshit! it probably cheats and the mileage as well but unfortunately i did not verify the mileage before taking off with the truck.

The direction to where to drop off the truck should be clear. I had no idea where to park the uhaul truck..The staff was very nice and helpful.

I do not remember the girls name that helped me but I will never rent a Uhaul from any other location than the one I got it at cause she is amazing and has excellent customer service skills. I don't care if I have to drive from another city to that location I only want to deal with her for all my rental needs now. Thank you Dawn south Kens wife

They were extremely rude. Before returning the truck, I put 7 gallons of gas in the truck and found out I put ~2 gallons more than needed. But upon final check, they told me I needed to pay ~8 dollars more for the gas. It turned out that the inspector couldn't tell between 3/4 and 7/8. When I insisted that they recheck the gas gauge again, the inspector just got off the the truck and told me to see for myself. I verified that it was at 7/8 and told him so. He got back in and still insisted that it was at 3/4. I calmly explained to him that the big line is the 3/4 and the current line where needle is at was 7/8. He then told me "whatever" and drove off! I went back to the office and explained to the lady what happened. But since the inspector didnt correct the fuel and just drove off, she didn't want to update the fuel charge. We argued for a few minutes until she radioed the inspector and verified that it was at 7/8. Now, the contract said that i would be reimbursed for gas that i put more than when i checked out. So i asked for credit. She told me although she signed the form that said they would reimbursed for the extra gas, their policy won't do that! It is totally unprofessional you guys won't follow the contract that YOU put in and proceeded to tell me that it was your policy. I'm not sure if this is U-Haul's policy or that small frachise was trying to make a few bucks with it. Rental rate was good but the customer service totally ruined the experience.

the people working at this location weren't customer friendly. hours of operation are listed, but doesn't not account for being closed at random times. had a difficult time with the procedure to return the vehicle after hours. wouldn't rent from this location again

I moved from Carson to downtown LA yesterday. About 15 miles away. The battery died on the way back. I was stuck Sunday evening for almost 2 hrs until I was able to find someone with a jumper cable. I called the store this morning and asked if any credit could be applied since besides of the inconvenience I also had to pay the movers additional money for their time but the credit was declined. Also, i filed up the gas tank to a little more than 7/8 (i should return at 7/8) I went to a shell gas station around the corner and double check it was correct and returned the truck after hour (left the keys in the drop box). This morning I noticed that I wash charged for additional 1.9 gal ($8.08). Thank you

Can the customer service be willing to disclose the price of the rental before asking for all of the contact and credit card information. And disclose that you have to pay for mileage and filling the truck back up. That was somewhat surprising to me.

branch mgr was suppose to ctc me regarding a discrepancy in my billing. I'm still pending since 9/6/15. desk person said that she could not figure out the mileage & usage from previous renter. so the best thing was for me to pay 20mi. I call 3 days later I get another person, and she is as clueless as the 1st lady.

Customer service was bad. The attendant told me that the truck was idling low, that if the truck turns off at the light to just restart it. AC in the truck only worked if we were going below 35 mph. Worst Uhaul location.

Overall the experience I had with this company was okay. The guy who gave me the truck was really nice. The lady in the office was a bit dull and boring. This was my first time renting a u-haul and it's safe to say with the help of the old guy who works for the company; I'll use them again.

I had a problem not with this location but with the person with whom I made the reservation with. I originally called the western/carson location and made a reservation but the truck I wanted they did not have so they said i could pick it up from the del amo location and still return it back to them on western. Come to find out, because I was local i had to return the truck back to where I picked it up from, making me late for my drop off and I had to make another stop for gas. When I called the western location to speak to the person who gave me the wrong info, the assistant manager looked up my reservation and seen that a 'Jennifer' put in my reservation. There is no employee names Jennifer there so she said I must have gotten rerouted to the customer service office when they didn't pick up. This is not my first time renting from here but this time I was unpleased to the fullest!

Reason for not recommending to a friend is that this location does not normally have any trailers. I had to go there because a previous renter had dropped it of at this location. Also I had to leave this location to go and buy a tow hitch pin because they don't stock and sell any trailer accessories, bad deal for customers. Though all the staff were courteous and very friendly :)
