This rating is for Uhaul on Stillman in Tuscaloosa. Arrived at designated time and the man working said he couldn't help me and the person who could was not there & wouldn't be for 20 minutes. Said he had no dolly, which I reserved in advance. I had movers waiting at $75 per hour. I went to 2 other places-no trucks available. Finally was directed to Uhaul on skyland where I was accomadated. I rent from uhaul often & was surprised no one offered a refund of at least the hour ($75) I lost while inconvenienced by Uhaul on Stillman.

I had no reservation, and I needed a moving van at the location within 30 mins. I couldn't believe that without even knowing the urgency, Tony Hall and staff had me in and out into a truck in 7 mins. WOW!

Service was great. Location was clean and maintained. The 26’ trucks ramp was broken and difficult to maneuver. That’s definitely a safety issue that needs addressed. Somebody could get hurt with a malfunctioning ramp.

My rating is based solely on my experience regarding the unprofessionalism of manager Tony Hall who in my opinion is not adequately prepared to hold a leadership position as manager. However previous customer services rendered to me and to other customers in my presence performed by employee Kimberly Wilson have been exemplary. Please consider allowing Ms Wilson to train Mr Hall on matters as they pertain to maintaining a chaos free, structured and proper business environment which includes instructing employees to maintain a professional attitude,work environment and willingness to respectfully greet and address customers as well as to refrain from laughing and joking with fellow employees while loudly speaking over customer's as they attempt to conduct Uhaul related business. I also witnessed an employee advise a customer who questioned the legitimacy of his bill to call corporate to complain since the charges were in her opinion excessive and unfair to him. Mr Hall was well within hearing range of the discussion between the concerned customer and his employee however he did not attempt to calm the customers concerns as his employee made them worse. I have otherwise witnessed Ms. Kimberly Wilson exceed the expectations of someone in her position. I for example had trouble getting seated into the rental van due to a total left side disability. Ms Wilson first made sure that employees were available to assist other customers inside the store and then brought the rental van closer to me and physically assisted me into the drivers seat and made sure I was safely secured. I was grateful for her compassion as opposed to Mr Hall parking the rental van in the middle of the parking lot on a later rental visit and instructing me to leave my own handicap placard vehicle on the side of the building(not in a handicap parking spot),where I had to walk from to reach the rental van that he had left in the middle of the parking lot. After I complained about his treatment of me as opposed to Ms Wilson, he rudely stated that he should have brought the rental van closer to me in consideration of my "condition"as if he would have been doing me a favor. I subsequently called Uhaul corporate to inform them of the likely reason regarding their poor Google review ratings at this location and suggested that Tony Hall be replaced with a better trained management representative and someone with decent character. I will not use the Skyland Blvd Tuscaloosa location until employees become trained on proper business etiquette and manners. Uhaul Corporate employees and Kimberly Wilson however helped retain me as a customer due to their professionalism and they were very supportive in ensuring that I had a safe and worry free experience,which helped relieve my anxiety as I later drove 80 miles thru a heavy thunderstorm on the way to return the van later that night.

It would be most helpful if customers are told about hours of rental. It is unprofessional to add a second day fee for a rental that was kept 4 hours and 15 minutes when rental, I thought, is for 24 hours. This should be explained more concisely.

I was charged $50 for a cleaning fee because the the furniture blankets that I rented was not folded. I was never told that they needed to be folded at anytime during the rental process.

well I paid one day up front and paid a 60 dollar deposit , I was 2 hrs late and they charged me for 2 days ? they gave me the wrong trailer , which I had to take back , no apologies from them . I always got good tx and fair prices from them before but it seems this greedy new crew took over , sad day here is this what my country has come to greed and arrogance ?

If had any problems it was with customer service on the phone. This was the customer service line with u-haul, not the local customer service. They did not update reservations even though they were told several times. It was hard to reach the local u-haul by phone to make changes and the online u-haul is not good.
