Once I got clear directions on where to obtain my truck and how to obtain it, my experience was great. I wasted over an hour of my morning trying to figure out how and where to pick it up. I did not receive any information the day before to tell me how to get my truck. Once I arrived at A Storage Inn, i assumed from past experiences that I would go inside a building and get the keys. I called U Haul customer service and they sent me to the U haul location on Skyland Blvd because apparently my rental had been moved to that location. The lady on the phone said that she was going to get on the phone with them at Skyland as soon as we hung up to ensure that my rental did not get released to someone else. Once I got there, they informed me that it was not there and that they had not talked to anyone from customer service. They said that their records still showed my rental being at A Storage Inn on 24th street. Once I got back in the car, I called customer service again to express my frustration and to get clear direction on what the next steps were. A guy informed me that he would forward me to someone else and that they would find a way to accomodate for my lost time and misdirection with a discount of some sort. He directed me to someone who was able to help me finally and explain to me that my rental was indeed at the 24th street location of A Storage Inn and that I would need to download the app to get directions to access the keys. This was the first time I was told any of this. Once I finally received my keys and got in the truck, my experience was good. It seems like there were some missed steps of communication. I therefore had to pay my moving help of 2 people an extra hour and a half for sitting. On top of all of this, I got charged an extra fee for "added milage"? I picked up the truck, drove to the moving location in Moundville, then drove to pelham, then dropped the truck off at the pelham u haul place. Doesn't make sense to me but whatever. Were gonna waste someone's time and then charge them for "extra milage" on top of that. Now my move cost a lot more than I expected it to.

The truck head lights would not turn off and I think that truck needs a tune up. Price was reasonable.
DEBRA CLet them know you have to return the equipment where it was picked up. I was charged $167. For a $19.95 truck rental. I will never use U haul ever again.
BELINDA DIf a customer has a long drive, give them the best, most comfortable truck, not the truck that's old, with problems. I picked up the truck and had to leave the next day, so did not find out until later that one of the tires was loosing air. This was an additional expense and concern for me throughout my 12 hour drive.
CAROL TWe made a change to the reservation and added a day. Because of that change, supposedly we were changed to a different (Skyland Blvd.) store in Tuscaloosa; however, that store did not get the message so we had to go to the 24th street store, where they could not find the reservation and had to start a new reservation. The 24th street store also did not an appliance carrier so we had to go back to the Skyland blvd. store to rent the appliance carrier. All this extra travel added at least two hours to the pickup process that we really did not have to spare. It was fairly frustrating.
