Was not clear where the location was despite having phone conversation with scheduler ahead of time. Walked around for 15 minutes before calling to find out location was in a convenience store. No signage outside to indicate location. Had to sign damage and fuel acknowledgement before even seeing the truck (therefore signing for something I do not know to be true). Had to walk from store to parking lot where clerk told me the truck may or may not be, may have to search for it on side street.

Have the truck I reserved at the time and location I reserved it... I did not get a warning... I showed up on time... Was told they did not have a truck... I ended up getting a truck an hour later, at a location much further away.

The UHaul terminal was down. I spent over an hour at the location, simply trying to pay for a reservation that I had made over a month prior. The person at the location tried her best to help me but this was an unbelievably poor experience and I will never use UHaul again if I can help it. I also had to walk around in the pouring rain trying to locate the truck as they don't have a dedicated parking lot.

They Should sign "U HAUL SERVICE" in front of the convenience store. Also location should have parking for one truck, reserve place so that customer does not have to walk up to slocan st. two blocks away for pick up and drop off.



They charged me 300 so that I could leave a cash deposit which they claimed was only 250 upon return

Poor customer service. At first, it looks like they don´t even know what they´re doing. They charged my credit card on hold but don´t take it off yet. I´ll have to make a call in order to open up credit in my card.

The location was fine, but our truck had a break in the fuel line. When we went to fill it up to return it, gasoline poured out all over the ground. We weren't charged for not filling the tank, but the fact that the truck was rented out in such a state is a bit alarming.

This place was really bad and the trailer didn’twork properly and the woman knew nothing about what to do. We had to go to another Uhual service center on South Marine Drive. They were much friendlier, they took off the trailer so we could load the truck. They said they would help us the next morning load our car and re attach the trailer. The next morning none of the people I had talked to before were there and the man who helped us load the car had no idea what he was doing. When we got half way and stopped for gas the straps on the front wheels had fallen off, so we had to redo them. When we got to our drop off location, the man we returned the trailer to was shocked. Apparently we were supposed to secure the car to the transfer platform with chains. Why did no one tell us this. Also he said the straps weren’t tight enough, mostly because the cranks on them weren’t working. This all means that for at least part of the trip, there was NOTHING keeping the car on the trailer platform. We are so luck it didn’t fly off the back. I asked countless times for help and got very little. I can’t believe that uhaul doesn’t have people at their locations who know how to use the equipment and are ok sending people asking for help away without showing them how to do it. Very very irresponsible!! someone could have been seriously injured had the care rolled off the platform and into traffic!!

The truck had a broken side mirror (right side - VERY important); it had been duck taped together but it wouldn't hold in position. This was very dangerous to drive with. The back of the truck was not clean. Blankets had been requested but had not been placed in the truck. In fact, I had to carry them to the truck & then back into the store when I returned the truck. Very poor customer service.

Truck cab was dirty inside and outside, windshield was filthy inside. The store front was not a U-haul facility, it was cramped and un businesslike. Really not what I would think U-haul would want to represent it's company. On the good side the truck ran well.

Your website should be Canadian friendly, aka when you say .89km not be 1.43 Also, when you reserve a truck in a specific location, you should not call them and them them its not available and must go to another location that cannot extend reservation.

The service of the cashier's was fine. The bad. The pay machine which listed various add-ons and charges was painfully slow. I requested a dolly for my move to aid in lifting large furniture but they said they didn't have any at that location. You have to walk or drive a block away to pickup the truck and also park it when finished.

I had reserved the truck at 9am, but the night before they called me and told me that they had a bunch of people all scheduled at that time, and that the line would be incredibly long. They scheduled me for 945am instead, and even then, I still had to wait nearly 20 minutes for my van. Also, this place is also a convenience store, so whenever another customer would come up with a purchase, they would stop helping me and ring up the other customer. So between that, the mobile app not working, and their credit card machine being flaky, I didn't get my van until nearly 1030. They also didn't give me an additional hour to make up for they hour I lost, and when I was an hour late, I was charged $50 and had made another Uhaul customer wait an hour. The whole experience was stressful and expensive.

They did not have a furniture dolly, although we had a reservation for one.

When you pickup your vehicle there is no opportunity to check it over before you take it because it’s parked a 10 min walk away.... then when you drop it off you need to park it in front of the convenient store for them to check it over, then drive it to its parking spot and then walk back to hand in the keys. It’s hands down the worst U-Haul experience I’ve ever had. I will never use this location again.

This location is not good for pickup and drop off . To pickup the Van, its about 1/4 mile + from the store location plus when u return the Van . One has to Bring the van to the store. for them to check the Veichle, then they want u to go park the van 1/4 mile plus and then return back the same distance to return the keys and the go to pick my own Veichle which could be 1/ 4 mile plus. I would never ever recommend any one to go to this location. MY VERY HONEST OPINION. THANKS vinegar

Express News was acceptable, albeit not recommended. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Half of the stalls are reserved for neighbouring businesses, labelled by crude hand made signs, and the spaces available for the Uhaul returns are barely large enough to fit the cargo vans. No criticism on the staff, they were great. But the location leaves much to be desired.
