when I called to book the rental at the Vancouver location, no one answered the phone, then I called the 1-800 number, the fellow was very helpful, yet he could not find the location that I wanted to pick up the rental from (Vancouver, 10 70 SE Marine Drive)

U-Haul is GREAT! Service was outstanding, and they have all the supplies you need for a move. My mistake to not book a vehicle as soon as possible; we ended up with a cargo van, which was too small for our needs, so we ended up making several trips and ran up the km. Make sure you get the right size van/truck.

When training employees to do so perhaps on days that are not busy; I was there on a Saturday. We have busy schedules and cannot afford to wait an extra 15-30mins in line or at the front desk for an inexperienced trainee. Check out could be speedier and friendlier customer service. Staff was not friendly and I felt the hostile environment. Although impressed with the facility and everything you had to offer, the unprofessional service I received is enough that I won’t be returning to that specific location in the future.

I rented you 1/2 ton pickups from your location many times. Those Ford 250's are good trucks except for one big problem. I have been driving for 50 years and I find that the rear windows are blocked because of the head rests on the back of the seats. Very poor VISIBILITY! Result...unsafe for all of us!

I would have given a below average rating had it not been for one of the customer service reps who helped us out in the end. I believe her name is Marie(?) - she is the face of this UHaul location on Google maps. I made a booking for a 24 hour, 15' truck to help transport supplies for a charity community event. It was crucial that we had the truck for 24 hours. However when we got there, the first customer service rep tells us we have to return it within 15 hours. When we inquired why our booking wasn't honoured, she simply dismissed us and said it's the cargo van or nothing. So I check out the available vans and alas it is too small. I return and another customer service rep was available to help. She was understanding of our situation and was able to honour out booking in the end. She even gave us a discount when she realised we were doing this for charity. That was lovely. The guys who pulled up the truck and sent us on our way was also nice. Too bad the first customer service rep completely ruined my experience. So I am only able to give an average rating.

I booked a 20' UHaul truck & was rented a 26' truck which made it almost impossible for me to make the turns & loading & unloading at both ends of my move. The dispatch & return of equipment staff were kind, attentive & helpful.

My overall telephone experience was horrible. I reserved a trailer that didn't show up that I then was told I would have to travel across town during rush hr to retrieve which I couldn't do..after many calls and being on hold at the end of the day with no spare time and exhausted I finally was able to acquire the proper trailer at the right location. Upon receiving the trailer I wasn't advised I would need a light kit to hook it up and the service department was very dismissive and offered no help. In the end I ended up paying $900 that should have been only $250 if I had been properly advised when I made my reservation to rent a truck round trip. The purpose of my trip was to purchase equipment at a restaurant auction to open my small business and now the cost of the truck has put me in debt. It was a major headache and in the face of another customer of yours with her nice uhaul truck only costing her $250 comfortably returning home with her wears. You need to avise your customers that it is much much cheaper to rent round trip than to do a drop off. And you need to improve your hold times on the phone!

Disappointing when a customer has to argue with the representative about what they were told when they called. Apparently I called a call centre. No record of my call and I was given the wrong information. Plus...every Uhaul location basically has different rules regarding deposits if not using a credit card. Also, no customer parking. Not a customer friendly location.

They called us at 12:30 pm to let us know the truck we reserved is not gonna be available until 5 pm. Which is obviously unacceptable because we needed the truck for a certain time because we were moving. Who moves at night time??? When we got there at 5pm, the customer service rep. at the desk was rude and sarcastic. If you're working as a front desk agent especially for a company with a known name, you know better than to speak rudely to a paying customer. No. I do not recommend the Marine Drive location in Vancouver, maybe you'll get better service from another location.

I requested a Delta pick up but instead was required to travel over two bridges, Friday afternoon rush hour, and pick it up in Vancouver. The staff in Vancouver were good, but if I wanted to get it in Vancouver I would have requested it. The journey added 1 1/2 hours to my trip.

I had to drive a long way out of my way to drop off the truck, but because I got a good deal; it was an acceptable thing to do. I just do not understand how it could cost $200.00 more to drop off the truck closer to my end location.
