The van was expected - not the cleanliest but works. The location was fine and the agent was friendly and knew what she was doing. The surprising part was how much gas the van used. We drove 11 km and had to put in 12.5 L of gas to move the gas gauge to just slightly above the the original line. It may have been possible to get away with 1 or 2 liters less but it's hard to be precise when it's less than a full tank to start. The gas was almost as expensive as the rental plus mileage. With such poor fuel economy, it may be necessary to keep the cost of gas in mind.

Ibrahim HRented vehicle needs to be checked for windshield washer fluid before rented out. The van I rented had ‘out of windshield washer fluid displayed on the dashboard. Luckily that I didn’t really needed it.
Phong TThe location owner could have provided more support during both pickup and drop-off. This was my first time using the app, and unfortunately, I had difficulties with it during check-in. The app was not working well for me, and I struggled to complete the process. In the end, the location owner verified my identity using my driver's licence and provided me with the keys. He then directed me to the vehicle, which was parked elsewhere. Because I was unfamiliar with the process and unsure which condition checks or existing damage had already been documented, I felt nervous when collecting the vehicle and recorded a video of it as a precaution. When I returned the vehicle, the location owner seemed surprised that I had not returned it to the same location where I had collected it. However, this had not been explained to me during pickup. I also did not receive assistance with checking the vehicle back in through the app. It was only after leaving the location that I realised I was expected to take a photo of the dashboard within the app as part of the return process. I would like to add that U-Haul Customer Service has been very helpful and responsive in addressing my concerns, which I greatly appreciate.
