I was VERY unhappy that after receiving a vehicle with what was supposed to be a 1/4 tank of gas, that was, in fact, low enough for the low fuel alarm to come on. I was hardly more than 2 miles away from the business when I had to stop to get gas to make sure that I could complete my journey. Very unsatisfactory!!!!

The only negative part of the experience was, because I returned the trailer at 6:45 pm October 7, 2019 and had to do the online return check-in. The check-in took me well over 1.5 hours. The call center was not helpful and the person I talked to misdirected me numerous times. Then she directed me to Special services who didn’t connect for over 15 min on hold. I finally hung up. Took pictures, filled out the check- in the best I could. I did not receive a verification the check-in was complete. I had been up since 4:00 am and by the time I gave up on the check-in it was almost 8:30 pm. I got up this morning October 7, 2019 and had to call the U Haul location I rented the trailer to verify the check-in was completed without additional fees. Needless to say this part of my experience was very very frustrating. I hope U Haul comes up with an easier method of checking in. There was another person returning a truck at the same time that was experiencing the exact difficulty as me. He ended up parking the truck and literally throwing the keys through the key drop. He as well left extremely frustrated.

NOT HAPPY WITH CORPORATE POLICY of charging $20 for checking equipment in ON TIME AT DROP OFF LOCATION. I was told to got to website to check in rental after hours. I followed instruction from the link to website from my email rental confirmation. I was prompted to allow my phone to disclose my location which i did and followed prompts. The final page said all done and instructed my to leave contract in key drop bin which i did. I recieved no email confirmation and when i looked at final weblink this morning it said error with some code. I called uhaul to verify web check in and low and behold nope, nada nothing. Well how convenient =NOT. if i hadent followed up i would have been charged a $ 20 fee EVEN THOUGH I HAD CHECKED RENTAL IN THRU WEBSITE AND FOLLOWED ALL PROMPTS. i am not happy at all as i feel this is another way for uhaul to scam renters out of money. Why should i have to jump through some stupid process that doesnt work just so i can avoid some fee? Please dont give me the excuse that the local rental office is too busy to do it like normal in the past ie. Open shop check lot for drop offs and key drop for returned contracts, this is part of thier job! Check in equipment and check for damages. So to me this is a scam and play for $20. Im not buying it! Ive been a uhaul consumer for over 30 years and can tell you that once a company starts being dishonest with thier customers and lose confidence with them it will cost you as a corporation more money than what you are scamming out of customers by intituting this erroneous $20 check in fee.



I had to drive 35 miles to pick up the trailer. Then 35 miles back to load my stuff. I was told the trailer would be in the city I requested it. The people in the shop where I requested it said they would pick up the trailer if need be. Why did I have to travel so far to pick up the trailer?
