Location closed early...I had to buy a power cord for the trailer light at the local Tractor Supply Store. The location to pick up trailer was more then 50 miles away from our original location.

I was directed to return the trailer to Slims. My return time was by 4:00 PM. I showed up at 3:00 PM and the location was closed. There was no available assistance to help me remove the trailer. I was just charged $107.00 as an extra charge because they failed to check in the trailer as returned. Terrible customer service from UHaul and Slims.

This location was okay. I wouldn't say we had the friendliest reception but that aside, the trailer was newer and in good condition. The problem I encountered this time around is when I went online to reserve my rental I also included an appliance dolly. I was not alerted online that one would not be available when I arrived to pick up my trailer, however when I arrived I was informed they had no dollies available. The whole point of me renting a cargo trailer and dolly was to move a new washer and dryer into our home and up stairs. So then I was faced with again, having to figure out another solution for my dolly which would take more time out of my day which I had allotted for this task, all because of Uhaul not having their rental locations properly equipped with the items offered on their site for rental. I don't think I would have been quite as upset as I was about it except for the fact I had just rented from uhaul the week before and didn't have a great experience and here I was, giving them a second change and they were already falling short again. I called another uhaul location 30 miles away and they were able to supply the dolly I needed. Another frustrating thing though, I tried to call Uhaul main customer service line again and I was actually able to get through thus time to a real person after about 8 minutes of holding and then as I was explaining my issues the call was hung up. I had 4G service on my phone and several bars so I don't know what happened but I was also very disappointed the representative did not call me back to finish our discussion. I am not sure if their reps can make outbound calls or if they have caller ID but I would assume they do and if they don't, they need to take a look at their process and implement it. I've called numerous companies who utilize caller ID to expedite and personalize the experience for the customer and if they are disconnected someone calls back immediately. All in all I was able to get the job I had done with the uhaul equipment but the whole process was much more of a hassle than it should have and could have been. To top it all off, I was renting a Penske truck simultaneously and was able to see and experience the difference in service. I can say I was not pleased with our recent uhaul experiences and I honestly can't say it would be worth trying to give them another chance in the future or that I feel comfortable and confident recommending uhaul as a company to a friend.

The lady I worked with at Slims seemed to be confused about both the pickup date and drop off date and the location to get the truck. She also quoted me a lower rate per mile than I was charged. $0.69 versus $0.99 per mile. Overall service was only average.
