My very first interaction with anyone at this location was Leonardo asking me if I was going to move my car. Not a great start or very good customer relations. (I'm not even sure he would even have a concern about this point). Fortunately the new guy Shaun and the other lady made up for his ignorance and made the rest of the experience positive.

I was supposed to drop off at Lancaster street and I was called and told it was full and wouldn’t be accepted there and to go to Colby street in Waterloo which I did. The customer service rep tried to get it to work but wasn’t able to figure out how i was supposed to drop it off there when that location wasn’t on my contract. Then they had to call someone for help and go step by step, turns out they printed the wrong contract and we had to wait for them to do it again.

The truck only had a 1/4 of a tank of ga and even though I was only moving in town - it quickly went to empty. You should really have at least 1/2 tank of gas to start.

I never received such disgraceful service before. I would never go to this location again or ever recommend it. I don't even want to use UHAL again. I highly recommend that you go with ANY other company. The people who work here are condescending scam artist. According to them "you should be lucky this is all your getting charged, because I could charge you more if i wanted to." So they charge people whatever they want? Make sure you have proof of the km and gas!! They will lie through their teeth until confronted with proof; at which point they will conveniently forget what they said. I was insulted and yelled at for no reason. This company should be ashamed and needs to hire better people.



Sherry had a dismissive air when speaking with me: my first encounter was to get a visual perspective of a pick-up truck I was interested in renting. She was shovelling snow out of the bed of the truck in a direction away from me, when I said hello and didn't want to bother her since I was checking out the size of the bed. She told me someone inside could help me. Her body language was unnecessarily abrupt. The second encounter was when I picked up a 15 ft. truck to transport a fridge and stove. She again was very dismissive and didn't respond to anything I said. I might have understood if there were a line up of customers. There was none. She pointed to the top of the contract to inform me that this is where I'd contact roadside assistance (also, I paid for the $15 daily insurance). Finally as I was leaving she referred to me in a diminutive endearing term which just didn't match her attitude toward me. I normally would not have taken offence if the person was nice. After 30 min. of driving on the 401, the windshield wipers were faulty: leaving my line of vision completely soiled, forcing me to lower my torso to continue driving. I stopped at the first chance: ON Route-Cambridge and wanted to contact roadside assistance but I discover it's a website! I was unable to access that! I called the Colby office to ask for a number to call. I was given one: it instructed me to go online! I called Colby again, speaking to Brian again who said the manager will be back in one hour! He said he could not help me! He was not allowed to make a claim on my behalf. I was stuck and beside myself with frustration after spending money for a service that does not exist! After the cabin was very warm the wipers became more resilient but still not up to a standard I'd expect from a rental. I am grateful to have arrived to my destination safely albeit with great difficulty in the snow and slush since the tires were NOT winter tires! Once I had the chance I went online to see how to get assistance-obviously out of curiosity. It required me to sign up for an account first! I will not recommend U-Haul to my family and friends. The truck was not equipped with proper tires, the radio was stuck at one volume: I could change channels but no volume. There were elbow braces in the back of the truck from another customer. Sherry never did call me after speaking with Brian: she said she called and left a message even though the name of the voicemail was different! I never received a voicemail! Sherry did call me after having paid and having told her about my disappointments with the "roadside service" and her demeanour. She called to ask if the brackets were mine and I think to iron out the tension between us. Clearly, customers must be informed that there is a website and NO telephone/live person to take a plea for help. Finally, I believe I should be reimbursed for the insurance and taxes. Sandra Zank

I have rented with uhaul for many years, i have always been a happy customer, my resent rental however i am not happy with at all. the customer service was great but thats it. once getting into the truck we noticed the gas was lower then had said so they changed it which was great! but..... the headlight was out the truck all over the road as the rear tires were extremly low tread. for a CVOR truck and working with CVOR rules this however has failed. did not feel safe whatso ever in the truck. lack of power engine is having issues, the mirrors are broken and dont move to adjust view.this truck needs to be off the road and repaired right and up to standards. Would be nice to get some money back for this unfortunate situation customer service was great! truck sucked!

Sherrie was very friendly and accommodating... estimate was off by only $1, can't beat that! She could use a faster network connection to Arizona HQ, however, if they're listening. Trucks also need winter tyres because "All-Seasons" are a bit slippy in the slushy snow.
