This has been a horrible experience, and it continues to not be taken care of. I rent frequently from U-Haul, and have never had an experience like this. I rented on my App from West Palm Gas, 847 Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 for a Cargo van at $19.95 and $.69 per mile. This for for a college pick-up, so was very necessary for correct time. When I showed up to pick it up, they informed me that they "rented the van out from under me, and it was no longer available." Obviously shocked, and very upset with the customer service, I got on the phone with uhaul, and they helped me to find a 10' truck at a local dealer, as there were no more vans in the area - and we needed immediately. They agreed due to the error, and horrible way my van was rented out from under me, that I could get the 10' truck at the agreed van rate I had reserved of $19.95 and $.69 mile. Now, after return, I find my invoice has charged me $1.19 per mile, not agreed $.69. I would request immediate refund of the difference, plus frankly I should receive more for the problems, issues and very bad customer service and treatment. Thank you, Bradford Smith 561-704-0450

I had called U-Haul ahead of time to get the drop address and make sure it was okay to drop the car dolly first and the truck later. They said it was okay. Once I got to the drop address, that wasn't the case. The location had to call U-Haul, I had to call them back as well, was a mess. I left the dolly there, but wasn't comfortable as I wasn't sure if I was still responsible for it or not. And didn't want to leave it there if I was. Seemed like one hand didn't know what the other was doing. When I dropped off the truck, the guy just took my paperwork and told me I was good to go. Didn't look at the truck or check the amount of fuel. Again, I had left the truck clean and full, but I wasn't comfortable with not having that documented at the exact time I returned the vehicle.

While dropping off the U-Haul, my paperwork sent me to a specific address. When I arrived, the personnel told me I needed to go to another address. The “other” gas station. I was sent in circles. The gas station was small. There was barely any place to park the U-Haul. The experience was a nightmare.

Make sure that in employee is present during business hours so the customers do not have to wait for someone to show up. Make sure all vehicles are inspected so the vehicles are roadworthy. Instead of renting from a regular U-Haul store, I decided to try a gas station that was an authorized U-Haul dealer. I had to wait to pick up the truck, once I got the truck, the check engine light and coolant light went on and the truck was completely hot. No more than 10 to 15 minutes after I left with the truck it almost broke down in the middle of the road and I had to go back, once again I had to wait, when I drop the truck off I also had to wait for the owner of the store to finish ringing customers are before he went to the U-Haul sectio I had to wait to pick up the truck, once I got the truck, the check engine light and coolant light went on and the truck was completely hot. They refused to blue-ink sign-off on truck condition, mileage, and return. Instead, I was handed a receipt with operator's signature line empty. I am concerned, after taking supreme insurance coverage, they could place a claim for non-existent damage. When I insisted upon getting a blue-ink sign-off I was met with EXTREME anger and defensiveness, "Everybody tink we try to rob you"... The "tink" is not a typo. So, I was left feeling afraid and concerned they could make a damage claim on a perfect condition returned truck. Very unprofessional and seemingly middle eastern culture issues. U-haul should be renamed, hostile truck rentals. I felt physically-threatened for asking for a sign-off. I should have called a cop, but didn't have the time. Try trying your vendors in customer relations. My opinions. Free c-level advice. Don't ask me anymore consulting opinions for free.

There needs to be a dedicated employee for uhaul at this location. We were put off for 2 hours waiting to fill our contract because he had to keep running to a different counter.
