When I originally made the reservation, let me say that again, "RESERVATION" I made it on-line for 24 hours of rental time. I also confirmed this with a U-haul Representative, by phone. The actual location called to confim with me as well about my RESERVATION, the day before. The day of pick up I was running late, I called to let them know, said that was fine. When I arrived, the locattion rep told me that I may have been taken off the list for failure to pick up on time. I asked why would it matter if I have a 24 hour rental "RESERVATION". He stated that that was not true that they needed the truck back within 4-5 hours and now didn't want to give me the truck.After having to literally GO OFF on him they finally agreed to let me rent the truck for 6 hours. TOTAL lack of communication, with U-haul Corporate, total lack of respect for the customers needs and the GOD like complex attitude. Had to bring them down to the real world. Tried to intimidate me. NOT A HAPPY EXPERIENCE. Moving is stressful enough without other people making it harder.

Please contact me. I got the name Tom Derosiers as the Area Field Manager and an expecting a call from him. I am not happy with U-Haul right now. I had my own unexpected dalay and another bigger one (an issue no one should endure in a new truck) when the truck I rented decided to stall and not start for an extended period after I put funny in it on my trip to return it. I was called by Andrea at U-Haul just after I got the truck restarted and told her my ordeal and her reaction was like it didn't happen. I got the truck to its return location and again explained my displeasure about getting stranded and he said all matters like this are over his head and I need to deal with UHaul on this.Tony also said that because I was late I was charged an additional day. I said if that's the case I'll keep the truck till tomorrow if I'm being charged for it and he said I couldn't and really should call U-Haul. I call U-Haul and again speak with Andrea again about being stranded and why I'm getting charged an additional day for being late because I got stranded in what was a new truck that I just paid for not to have these issues only to be charged another day. I DON'T THINK SO. That is how I got Tom's name. I got it from Andrea who was useless in helping fix this issue. So to some it up in actuality my being late is U-Hauls fault and to charge me an additional day day for an hour real time on a faulty new vehicle where the rental location is a nice shop but the business is an aforesaid shop where you have to wait for that business to do it business and go back and forth where I'm on the U-Haul clock as well is BS. I expect my $39.99 additional charge back and will leave it army that. The state of RI protectes its citizens against such bogus charges, please have Tom or yourself contact me.
