Windshield wiper flew off on the highway in the rain and almost caused me to crash. None of the charging ports worked, so I could not charge my phone and didn't have GPS for the end of the trip which caused problems. Some of the boxes in moms attic got damp. Extremely unhappy.Christopher W.

The renting experience was great but I'm totally pissed that I had the truck for less than an hour and was charged 3x the amount. I understand that it was going to cost me more than $19.99 but almost $70 is disgusting, I would not recommend uHaul to anyone ever. The man that helped me named Tony was amazingalicia J.

I booked a reservation at one location close to where I was moving. So that the mileage would be as low as possible. As I was pulling in to the lot they said they had no trucks and transferred my reservation to another place "right down the street" well no it was most certainly not down the street. It was in the complete opposite direction. But the worst was when I got there he had no knowledge of the transferred reservation. So I had to do another reservation and pay on a credit card that I DID NOT want to use. He had no trucks initially but said he would let me take a 10 footer for 2 and a half hours when my reservation was a for a 15 footer so not only could I not fit all of my belongings I could not even make multiple trips because I had 2 and a half hours and the uhaul place was an additional 10 minutes in the other direction. I called customer service today to request that the payment be taken off of that card and put on another and unfortunately this could not be done.FALLON M.

The man I dealt with was aggravated with pretty much everything to do with my reservation. I madeMy reservation online and had ordered one of the $19.95 box trucks. My pick up time was 9 AM I was running late so I didn't get there until about 945. When I arrived I was told that they did not have the truck that I ordered and that he would have to give me a 15 footer Which in my opinion he should have given me for the price of the truck that I was promised but he charged me the $29.95. I was in the office for about 45 minutes before I was able to leave with the truck due to technical difficulties but they were having with their website. I had also ordered this truck for eight hours which would have meant I would not had to have had it back until 5 PM I realized that I was an hour late almost picking up the truck so I knew I was only going to get it for seven hours at that point. But was told by the man behind the counter that he had somebody else renting that truck at 4 PM and I had to have it back by 3:45. Which would not have been as big of a deal Had I not waited almost 45 minutes to even drive the truck out of the parking lot. Then I was charged a $25 cleaning fee when I know that the truck was left clean. I am highly dissatisfied with my experience and I will never return to this location again. And during the 45 minutes that I sat in the office all this man did was complain about how he had better things to do and how he could be making more money working on cars not sitting there making peanuts dealing with me and my U-Haul. I have a 2 5/16 ball on my draw bar, it became a big problem, this service station didn't have the 2 inch ball that is needed for towing, had to leave the site and go find one, returned with the correct size ball, and he refused to change it, told me he was not insured for the liability of the ball being installed properly, so, after signing and paying for the car trailer rental it was 2 1/2 hours before I towed the trailer and It was not hooked up correctly, safety chains not connected, he took a pictureDennis D.

I was very dissatisfied. The man at One Stop Auto & Truck Service Center was slow, had no idea what he was doing. He kept blaming us for no good internet access when U-Haul was experiencing a problem with the website. He complained about U-Haul the entire time. told us pick up was at 9. We were there about 8:50 until after 9:30 and were told to bring the truck back by 2:30 for the next rental at 3:00. Our 6 hour rental was now down to 5 hours and we only had time for one trip. It was an awful, disappointing experience and would not recommend One Stop Auto or U-Haul to anyone in the future!!!!sneryl L.
I had the pick-up and drop-off locations all pre-advertised with a self-checkin before I arrived to get the trailer. When I dropped it off a couple of hours later, the drop-off location was closed. I took pictures and tried to self verify the drop-off but it wasn't working. I was charged $20 for some convenience fee which I would like to be refunded for. I emailed about it and never heard back. All in alll the communication has been pretty poor by U-Haul.Brandon H.
The new system that has the customer upload a picture of their license is problematic. Depending on your phone it may not work at all. I was trying to upload for 20 or 30 minutes. I feel that u haul rental places should have the ability to upload a picture of a license from a camera at the location, not a customers phoneBob G.

I rented a 15' truck and an auto transport on 7/18/19. I found the equipment performed brilliantly. I can't say as much for the service. The initial reservation was made approx. a month before the pick- up date. We had checked distances and the Yelp reviews and selected the U-Haul agency where we WANTED to pick up the equipment. It was 3 miles away and an easy drive. I had reserved a 10' truck initially, but due to some circumstances, I had to upgrade the reservation to the 15â€ truck and add an auto transport. I made this adjustment a few days before the pick-up date. When I was contacted by U-Haul, they notified me that the agency I had selected, one that was only 3 miles from me, was CHANGED to one which was 13 miles away and NOT convenient to my location. At that time, I requested that the auto transport NOT be attached to the truck at pick up as the space for loading the truck was limited and the transport would have impeded loading. I was assured that was no problem. I planned to return after loading the truck and connect the trailer. When we arrived at the pick-up point, I found only obstacles. All of the information I had provided in the reservation was on the screen but they were â€œunableâ€ to use it and ALL the information had to be retyped, causing delay. Also, for the first time, I found out that I needed a smart phone to connect with a U-Haul site to transmit a copy of my driver's license. I understand the need for a copy of my license but it would have been helpful to know beforehand that I would need a smart phone to accomplish this task. The agency, One Stop Auto Service, in West Warwick, RI was unable to take the pictures themselves and unable to provide any info regarding the Internet site. Lucky for me, my daughter was along and we used her smart phone. Unfortunately, the site crashed 6 times while trying to connect. The gentleman at One Stop, Tony, provided no help at all but merely complained that U-Haul wasn't paying him enough. Maybe if he got more money he might have been more helpful or more knowledgeable. Nonetheless, I was not interested in his finances but in the time WASTED getting the equipment. My daughter was able to bypass the phone system and connected to an Internet Hot Spot and was able to make the connection. Without her help and knowledge, there would have been no sale. Tony, who should know how to complete the transaction, was completely useless in this regard. Finally, the paperwork was finished and I asked to see the truck before I certified it was clean and dent-free. To my almost shock, the transport was attached, even though I had specifically requested and been assured it would be separate! I asked that it be detached but was told by Tony that it was too hard to do and would have to stay that way. When it was clear we were leaving without the equipment, Tony had another employee, Dominic, come out and detach the trailer.
