We reserved this equipment online before pickup from uhaul.com. When we arrived we were informed that they had the truck but no furniture pads or the appliance dolly I needed. Reserving online I'd expect that I'd be told then and there I can't reserve what I needed or at least get a call the next morning saying that they couldn't fulfill my requirements that I reserved. I'd like some of my money back because although they did find the appliance dolly I had to drive the uhaul to another location further away from where I ultimately needed it at, which caused me to incur further mileage charges unecesserally.

Make sure truck was cleaned, inspected and gassed before renting. Our truck was not and the tag on dolly was missing when we got it. Hopefully we weren't charged for it.

Horrible experience, rude, unaccomadating, will never use Uhaul again. The truck was filthy with chewed sunflower seeds and cigarettes. The uhaul in Simi Valley called the day before to tell us that our truck we reserved two weeks prior was no longer available and that we had to go to the Westlake location which was 20 miles out of our way. When we get to the westlake location, the employee couldn't find the keys for the truck and said they might not be able to give us a truck anymore. Then we were charged the added mileage for having to go to the westlake location for the truck even though this wasn't our fault or in our control. Even worse, I couldn't pick up the moving supplies from the westlake location so we had to go back to the Simi Valley location and pick it up where all of the employees were rude and unhelpful. Moving is already stressful on its own, let alone having an unreliable and disorganized moving company that is supposed to make the moving experience easier not worse!! I am so dissatisfied with Uhaul and will tell friends and family to never use this company again. Teach your employees better customer service and treat your customers better.

The girl at the front desk was so nice. The man who came out to attach my trailer was slow, did not sweep out the trailer and said the left blinker light did not work but I would be ok since cars behind me could see my blinker on my car. I told him maybe the bulb was bad, he said no they are checked regularly, implying my connection. I said maybe check the wiring on the light, because I just rented a Uhaul at the beginning of the summer and didn't have an issue. He jiggled the wires and said oh it works! I also asked if I would have a problem lifting the trailer off the hitch since I was returning it after hours. He said no. I rented the 6x12 open trailer. I have to tell you I could not even budge the trailer on the hitch it was so heavy. I had to call my husband to come and lift it off, which took a few tries. I am telling you this because I think people should know that, because if they don't have someone to come and help them after hours they are sunk. It should be said that if they don't have someone strong enough to get it off they need to make sure they return it before closing! BTW I usually rent 5x8 and never have a problem lifting the trailer off the hitch.

The truck mirrors were duct taped on. No ability to adjust. VERY UNSAFE ! I ordered an appliance dolly and none were available. WTF !?!? I did NOT ordered any moving blankets yet my order showed I requested 100. WTF !?! Your 800 number person seemed 1/2 asleep and unhelpful. Will NEVER rent a Uhaul again.
