The location was closed when I returned the trailer at 3 pm on the saturday.. Very frustrating calling in on the main u haul number as I had to be transfered to 4 people before speaking to the right person to verify return of the trailer.

More communication needed as initially upon receipt of trailer back to location, we were told we had to pay more money even though everything was paid in full.

There should be a policy in place that when checking the functioning of the trailer signal lights they not only be checked for lighting up but Also that they are in sync with the left or right signal lights on the truck. I sat in my truck while the uhaul guy was at the back of the trailer he just said turn on your signal lights. What he failed to see was that my left signal light was blinking on the truck but the right one on the trailer. God damn Fucking idiot asshole almost got me killed. I nearly drove a guy off the 401 highway going faster than 100km/HR. When a signalled left to go into the passing lane the trailer was blinking right. Him and I were in the same lane at one point until he drove onto the paved shoulder avoiding a total catastrophy. He must have innocently thought i was going to the right of the middle lane. I drove approx 4hrs this way without knowing until I was in Guelph at a stop light when a lady beside me told me the lights were not functioning correctly. Imagine what could have happened had I not drove in the fashion that I did. All my turns and lane changes were done slowly without haste. Allowing time for other drivers to react which occurred this time. He had time to get out of the way before I hit him. I'll never trust another person again with my life from this point on... Thanks for the lesson U-Haul. Another thing I booked the trailer at 8am from the first vendor he called me that night at 8pm and told the next days trailer that i had reserved was not available and that there was a mixup more like screw up on UHAULS end. After that I never heard from him again and thought all that night my moving plans were going to be destroyed by his mistake or oversight that caused my booked trailer to not be there as planned. I had to drive 3hrs out of my way to accommodated the move intended from smithsfalls to kitchener. Because of this mix up. With little to no sleep stressing out the night before. Thanks UHAUL another life lesson: never trust anyone or a company with matters that only affect you personally.

Ended up paying more money in the end even though i cleaned and swept the trailer and it said save 25$... also got charged for miles which cost 1.11.... so my estimate was off due to the fact that i live in Canada so i did my estimate in kilometers which was only .69/KM... Not impressed... thought renting a uhaul was the best way to go. Clearly not.

When I picked up the truck it was missing an oil cap. A redneck fix was made to get me through but perhaps in the future an inspection of all vehicles and equipment freshly dropped off should be inspected immediately so there is no delay or problems for the next person whom wishes to rent one

Owner left an in-experienced clerk to help with the pick-up and payment details. In his defence, I remember saying that i had arranged the pick-up online and I think he took this to mean that there were no payments to be made etc. Unfortunately there were and I waited almost half an hour while he and his clerk talked on the phone before being able to drive away with the vehicle. It negatively affected my remainder of the day as I had 1/2 hour less to complete my move.

The owner came out and helped connect the trailer with me. And he also made sure I was familiar with the equipment. The experience was great.
