No clear direction where to park the u-haul, said I was supposed to park by a big grey pole, well if you want it there, you should have signs, also he looked at gas and said it looked fine then later got an email with a charge for gas, he made me wait for him help until all his customers were gone, allowing others to go ahead of me, even though I was there first ... completely unprofessional and a rip off!

When reserving my car dolly, I expressed I would need assistance w basic electrical hook up and was told it would be at location and was not.Although I was charged for the rental, I was told after that I need electrical wiring additions and can not take the dolly. I was told the charges would be reversed on my account reflecting no rental. I did not give up and was able to pick up the appropriate uhaul wiring harness at another location, had it tested and 3 hours later returned and was able to pick up dolly serial number td1711c, towed the car no problem, returned the dolly in leadville, as planned and was informed that I had a different dolly number on my receipt, td1141b. I was told at this time I should not have been given this dolly as td1711c has unsafe ratcheting tie downs. The result was two identical charges to my credit card for 110.16 when there was only one rental. I was just told one has been reversed by your reps. And will be visible in my account in a day or 2. Thx. But better communication on your behalf could have saved me days of hassle and extra expenses.

The guy working let every gas customer go first, have us incorrect info on the phone and in person, made weird comments, and everything in the gas station was expired. Awful experience. Won't be using uhaul again.

You need to improve your contract U-Haul providers !!!! Also your customer service reps need to stick to what they say .. if they’re going to refund you your money then they should do that ... maybe hire some more employees so I don’t have to stay on hold for 15 minutes each time I call

We reserved truck at Marshall liquors and first he said we can pick it up the night before, then the guy called to say to pick up at 8am, Sunday. He never showed up and didn't even call us. We walked into uhaul on Kipling and had great service. Thanks to him and we are terribly upset with guy from Marshall liquors.

Truck VERY loud and driving a long trip would be awful. Went to return to gas station and fill tank but pumps were turned off, and that was never mentioned when I rented so I got dinged for a fill. Crappy way to make extra money.

The business renting out the U Haul is not the reason for the poor review. Everything was fine. My problem is with U Haul's online and over the phone reservation system. An event was relying on me for tables and without the U Haul, I could not get tables. I was guaranteed a truck at a location, which I took an hour long bus ride to pick up and when I got there it was not there. And I made this reservation a week or so before. It was a whole stupid and lame process. Not because of the business renting out the uhaul (the man who rented the uhaul to me was very sympathetic and did what he could to help) but because of the terrible reservation process U Haul has in place. This was a catastrophe averted but if I had not been able to pick up the tables?! The event would have had no tables!!! The customer service people were also under prepared to deal with this tremendous fuck up. How am I supposed to act when a 400 person event is jeopardized and that weight is on my shoulders? I was trying to stay cool but showing up to a uhaul spot at 11am after spending over an hour on the bus and being stranded in the gd suburbs without the uhaul i was guaranteed sent me over the edge. And there was a lot of shifting blame. Like "Who did you make the reservation with?" The customer service person wanted a name. What does it matter at that point!? I made the reservation with uhaul using the system uhaul has in place and is offering. I wasn't talking to the wind and hoping my reservation was being passed along, I was talking to gd uhaul!!! Only a white man could get away with running a business this shitty and still be operating so publicly. The Shoen name is going down in history with Conway and Kaczynski because of your poor business practice and emotional terrorism.
