The truck that I Reserved wasn't at the location I was told to go to luck up the truck. I had to Reserve another truck that was smaller in size. It set me back 2 hours
The website is to complicated and complex for usage with cell phone devices.
What you can improve on is the availability of trucks to customers. Originally I was to rent a truck from your rt 73 in Berlin Nj facility. When I arrived he told me there were no trucks and â€œI should of checked my emailâ€ when I expressed my level of aggravation being sent to another location. When I went to Clark's Jim could not of been nicer. I knew I was renting a truck at least 3 more times and I elected to return the truck back to Clark's. I believe there is no financial incentive to the customer to return the veHicle to its origin. Maybe half price one way-you'd make more money in the end and all of your purveyors will be able to regulate their fleets better.
The gentleman was very kind and efficient. He did asked me did I have any questions about the vehicle. I am just use to someone walking the vehicle with me to look for damages before rent a vehicle.

I originally scheduled my rental at the berlin nj facility on Route 73. When I arrived at 7:15 am I was informed to go to the Williamstown facility because the Berlin NJ did not have a truck for me. I stated why wasn't I informed about this and the man, Giovanni (I believe he is the manage) "rudely stated you should check your email". I drove 15 minutes to Williamstown (an extra 10 miles to my house that I had to pay mileage for). The Williamstown facility, Clarks automotive, did not open until 8am in which I waited another 30 minutes for. The man at Clarks (the owner Jim Clark) could not have been nicer-180 degrees from the ignorant Giovanni! Save yourself a head ache and drive the extra miles to Williamstown instead of Berlin NJ.
Charge me extra $25.00 for cleaning.
The mobile check in is difficult to use. It takes about 20minutes to do and the app doesn't always take the inputs. This needs some improvements:
Im an event planner who rents uhauls almost every weekend. This time i tried a new location and i regret it. The mileage on the van was off, my reservation wasn't approved I had to call in, the van was louder than usual, and the tire had a slow leak. I had to put air in it when i first got it, by the time i finished setting up my event, the entire thing went flat. Filed a roadside assistance claim online, no-one came. Tried to call in and was on hold for 18 minutes the first time and 45 minutes the second. Never spoke to anyone, i just hung up. Finally i sent an rate message via chat and someone called me. She was very helpful and so was the tow truck driver who came to change the tire. Im never using this location again, i might just switch to Budget altogether. Oh and did i mention they over charged me.

Our pick up location was mindful of social distancing practices and masks. Very helpful.
Waited over an hour after scheduled time. Told us to go to another location to pick up the uhaul. They told us to come back in 30 minutes but it took over an hour for the individual to return to the shop. Delaying our move and causing us to move furniture in rain.
Everything was ?? great. No improvements needed.
Only issue was with picking up truck , it took extra time to receive lock box code to receive keys to truck. I used my phone to do the transaction, but I had to call customer service and finish transaction.
You should be able to see a customers account at the computer but its not their fault. Its the corporation of course. Had they been able to tell the original account holder that they had a 7 dollar balance from the last time, it would have been quicker. But i understand completely. The guys were as quick as possible despite their machine failing. I would use them again. I was patient and got a soda from the pepsi machine. The truck was clean, good on gas, and was very efficienct for our uses. We appreciate the service.

My reservation was made on Wednesday and it was changed twice once on Thursday and then Friday night just hrs befor I was too pick the truck up. Both times I called back immediately to changed to the size I needed. The woman I spoke to was very rude a and told me I agreed to the change both times. Well if I agreed to the change then why am I calling to change it back. The person I spoke to on Thursday assured me my 26' truck would be available. I made the reservation well enough time for there not to be a problem. This whole experience just added to my stress of having to move my belongings into storage after my husband's death. I will never ever recommend uhual. This was one of the worst companies I had to deal with in a long time.

Please make sure the gas tank is at least filled prior to giving it to the customer. I had a 1/4 tank of gas, which runs out quickly when the truck only gets 8 mpg. I feel that the truck should be filled upon arrival and the customer is responsible to fill the truck back up at the end of the move.
