I was double-charged for keeping the truck two extra days. In Windsor I pre-paid to keep the truck until Monday the 18th, but upon arrival in Knoxville I was told I had not "pre-paid" and owed an additional $136, which I was forced to pay. Even though my receipt clearly stated a return date of June the 18th, the recipient of the truck said there was "nothing he could do" and that I must belaboringly bring the discrepancy to the attention of the U-Haul company. Amanda was very friendly and professional. My only complaint is with U-Haul. I book a truck and put 50 km's on it. 24 of those km's were from having to go pick it up from this location, even though there was a similar truck sitting closer to my location. Amanda tried to get my mileage reduced but U-Haul was not willing to do so. The best they would do is take $5 off my bill. U-Haul could improve on its customer service abilities.

The truck smelled horribly of cigarettes. Thankfully I could drive with the windows down. My card was charged after I was told in the phone it wouldn't be. Not a "hold". I was charged. I did not get a refund when I finished my rental. I paid with a different card and the rental fee was less than the initial hold cost. I was told if I came back in a few days that I would get a refund. Why do I need to come back when Ive been double charged? If it wasn't for Justin's kind, helpful and professional demeanor, I would have been screaming. While Justin was great, for a double charge, and smelly equipment, I'll hit a rental car company next time.
