Amritpal S1I am writing to bring to your attention an extremely terrible and unacceptable experience I recently had with one of your U-Haul pickup/drop-off locations. My truck was originally scheduled to be dropped off at 5:00 PM, but due to heavy traffic while moving, I called the local location to inform them that I would arrive around 6:00 PM, to which the representative abruptly refused, stating "5:00 PM means 5:00 PM." After contacting U-Haul Customer Service directly, I was granted an extension until 7:00 PM. Shortly after, the local location representative called me back, and when I explained that Customer Support had extended my time, he became extremely aggressive, falsely claiming "this truck is my property, not U-Haul's," and proceeded to use profane and abusive language toward me over the phone. When I arrived to return the truck around 6:30 PM, I went through the inspection process and showed the representative timestamped photo evidence proving that a cardboard box and papers inside the passenger door panel were already present when I picked up the vehicle. Although he initially acknowledged this and said "okay," he still wrongfully charged me an unjustified $25 cleaning fee. When I politely questioned the charge and reminded him of the photos, he verbally abused me again, saying "you have to talk with customer service, you fuc*** guy,"* and continued using abusive language. As a paying customer, being subjected to vulgarity, harassment, and fraudulent fees is completely unacceptable. I am requesting an immediate full refund of the $25 cleaning fee and a formal investigation into this representative's conduct to ensure no other customer experiences such disgraceful behavior.
