I initially booked online. Had a confirmation emailed to me for the vehicle I needed for a move. I noticed the charge was in US dollars so I called directly to the location in Winnipeg I booked for to be sure there was no issue. Was told they did not have any of those vehicles available that day, and this regularly happens when you book online. What?? Apparently often people book vehicles to move , arrive at the location w/ confirmation in hand and are out of luck because your website indicates there is availability when in fact there isnt!! That is a serious problem that definitely needs to be rectified. The staff however, at the Century Street location in Winnipeg were fantastic to deal. The guy I dealt with on the phone for reservation (good things I decided to call!) and the woman who served me when I arrived were both efficient and extremely pleasant to deal with. Uhaul, its not good business practice to leave clients in a lurch on the day of their move!

I went to the regent location 2 weeks before my move because I live in that end of town and was told that I would receive a phone call the day before my move to confirm a pick up time. Never received the call so I made it myself and was told the only location I could pick my truck up was on century which is 40 minutes away from my house and that the only location I could drop it off at was back on century. Since I was moving out of town to the east this added a lot of unnecessary drive time. I think it is ridiculous that I could not get the truck from my end of town and I think the excuses provided to me from the staff is just very poor customer service. As the customer why should I have to be bothered by where your company desires the vehicle to be picked up or dropped off? Why can I not choose where to do so for my conveniance? All in all not too impressed

I booked uhaul for 3, waited at uhaul for 1.5hrs then had to drive 15km away from my area to get a uhaul, then had to return before opening the next day. I get to storage to pick up my cargo and the ramp was too narrow for the reason I rented it(treadmills) I told the attendant why I was renting them and what I neeeded. So I pretty much wasted a day and a rental. We are looking for an alternative company to move those equipment.

I had called in advance and clearly stated that we needed a 10 ft truck, and they asked if we needed a 15 ft truck and I said a 10 ft would be okay, and when I arrived at 930 this morning, We had to wait until 10 am in line (which was not a huge deal although we did reserve it for 930) buy when I went to the counter they said we reserved a cargo van, which I definitely would not have reserved because we had an apartment worth of stuff. There was one other person in line ahead of me who I overheard had the same issue, I can't speak for then we I DEFINITELY did not say cargo van. So I did put a 125$ deposit on the what was supposed to be uhaul, and we had to take two trips to bring all of our stuff, from st James to almost charleswood. So we ended up paying for twice as much gas and twice as much kilometers because we had to take two trips, so it was quite frustrating the the two youngish men behind the counter were not at all apologetic or anything, and they seemed to assume that i was the one who made the mistake in the reaervation. I would not recommend this location to anybody.

it really helped me out. everything was great. signing in, and up at the location for equipment can take some time but overall it didnt bother me.

Ensure that vehicles booked are cleaned in time for reservation. Would also suggest that air freshener is sprayed or put in the vehicles. This is the second time in a few months that I've rented from U Haul with pick ups at different locations. In both instances, the driver/passenger cabin smelled of urine. Also, would suggest an accurate recording of the gas gauge. Even if it is just a bit under full, it is marked as full, which is inaccurate and unfair to the customer. Lastly, do not hassle the customer if they booked the vehicle up until a certain time, and call one and a half to two hours before to inquire when they are going to return it. This puts undue pressure on the customer when they are busy moving.

Everything was fine, but I think the transmission of the vehicle I rented needs some attention. It sounded like it was straining to shift gears at times. I mentioned this to the girl who took the vehicle back from me today. Other than that, everything was fine.

Tell your customers when your facility is bug infested so people get enough time to move there things out. Inform your customers you have a roadant problem before recommending to rent storage from your company.
