I had my reservation confirmed on Saturday March 25 for Sunday March 26 (confirmation #25324944). I was contacted on Sunday March 26 that my truck was not going to be available at the location I selected. The new location was to far out of the way so I asked if I got some free mileage, the agent flat out said 'no'. I told him that I had reserved at that specific location because it was close and would prefer to get what you had confirmed to me. He then told me there would be a truck available at my location at 3:15. I said ‘great I'll be there later in the afternoon.’ I got to the location at 4:00 pm on Sunday March 26 and the truck still wasn't available. The gentleman I was dealing with in person at the Century location was very nice and helpful. There was another guy working there that was not helpful and extremely rude. He seemed more interested in taking long hauls on his vaporizer in between moving trucks then actually working. Anyway, now my reservation has been changed twice by you guys so I said 'just give me the next level up truck and the $50 credit that I should receive for you guys not keeping my reservation.' The guy said 'it doesn't work like that. It may seem that you should get a $50 credit but you don't.' I read him the $50 credit wording from your website: 'When you make a reservation, we guarantee to provide you with the equipment size, location, and pickup time as agreed.' I ended up getting a bigger truck at a different time and am still unsure if I received a credit. I feel I am owed a $50 for the original change of pickup time and an additional $100 for the change in equipment and the new pickup time not being upheld. I am expecting a call back from this. Terrible way to run a rental business as to the van we rented had 1/4 tank of fuel when we picked it up, so how does the customer go about getting the extra fuel returned if fuel guage says 1/2 tank when I am done with the rental?

There was a line up of 7 customers first thing Sunday morning. Only one staff processing customers, and one prepping the equipment. I was in line for 50 minutes. Suggest you have more staff on duty for peak periods. I believe a walk in customer turned away when they saw the line up.

I picked up the truck at night, and did not see the missing sun visor on the drivers side, and the dash was broken on the passengers side. The box had been washed and the floor was a sheet of ice, it was very slippery and dangerous while loading the truck. I was towing a car hauler trailer which I picked up later the following day. While driving west on the first leg of our trip I noticed that the trailer had no running lights, the signals and brake lights worked. I had to start and run my vehicle on the trailer and leave the park lights on. On night 1 this was for 6 hours. Winnipeg to Regina. The following morning I contacted a U-Haul dealer in Regina to get the lights fixed and was told they could look at it later in the day. This did not work for us as we had to be in Calgary that night. Again another 4+ hours of my vehicle running with its lights on. On the 3rd leg of the trip it was the same, poor weather from Calgary to Kamloops and again I had to run my vehicle to provide running lights for more than 8 hours. This experience we had was not one of U-Haul's best rentals, with the issues regarding the truck, the trailer not being available at the confirmed location which was Century St. We had to drive to the Regent location which is on the east side of the city. This delayed our departure by more than 2 hours. Then the light problem. It just seemed to be one thing after another all the way from Winnipeg to Kamloops. While I was "on the road" I received a message from U-Haul to drop the truck off at a different location (East Side Collision in Winnipeg) when I got there I was told that they were no longer a U-Haul agent!

The truck had very poor traction. No snow tires for trip Winnipeg to Calgary. Barely made it out of an underpass. Had to drive through a stop sign just to make it up one small hill. Lost control on Trans Canada at one point.

We booked online for another place - and when we went there there was no truck and no person... The King Edward location sorted me out and I was happy with that. This isn't the first time that the online booking system did not work very well.

I was charged for something I did not use, so I called in and I was told that someone would call me. I have yet to receive a call or explanation why I was charged for using this item when I clearly did not use it. I'm not impressed with this type of dishonesty, being charged for something I did not use.

When you open the trailer that you are renting and all you can smell is gas it makes it difficult to move furniture without making that smell too. Bad experience.
