To whom this may concern if anyone, I was disappointed to be charged the full rate for four hours of use and being pressed for time to return the rental for another customer we did not have time to replace the fuel and was charged enough to fill up my own car. so I will not be using U-haul service anymore. Thanks but no thanks.

When the reservation was made online for the 10' truck on June 10th, the price in the online quote was $101 for the truck (not including the $5 environmental fee or the $14 insurance fee- which we clearly visible). My husband picked up the truck on June 15th, Friday - he was charged a lot more for the rental fee - but didn't realize until he'd gotten the truck home and I saw the invoice. Called the pick up location, but because 30 minutes had passed since the truck left the lot, they could not help. (Person at the pick up location was EXTREMELY polite and tried to help us out.) We were directed to the 1800 number for Customer Service. After a 57 minute phone conversation in which Lynn with Customer Service apologized for the charges. She explained that often the trucks we want are not in stock - as was our case. We wanted a 10 foot truck but were given a 15" truck. She said the price should have remained the same and guaranteed that the $48 difference would be refunded to our card by June 17th or 18th at the latest. By June 25th, there was no refund. Two additional calls have been placed to Customer Service. One with Tara - who promised a call back that we never received and the second was to get the transcript of the June 15th phone conversation. It is now July 21 and I have just received a copy of the phone conversation with Lynn on June 15th with the promise the refund to the card used. Our next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Got charged for hand trucks and blankets when I didn’t request them. Truck was not clean. Ashes in the ash tray, truck cabin was not clean or vacuumed. Checking in through the app took almost 30 minutes.

Somehow my drop off point was changed to somewhere in New Jersey. I did not change my destination. I received several call asking where the truck was after I delivered it to the proper location in North Carolina. I even received a call stating I would be charged an additional fee for not taking it to New Jersey. This is unacceptable.
