I rented a truck to do a move of a single kids bed less than 40 miles round trip. The truck’s check engine light came on and the oil low dialogue came on and said to shut the engine off. I pulled over at the first gas station available and shut it off. We called the roadside assistance which was very helpful- they sent a mechanic who said the oil line had been leaking and then a tow truck to get the truck. The next day I called the shop to let them know what happened and they said it her the truck I rented was a huge puddle of oil on the ground. I picked the truck up at 12:30PM and used it a few hours later to transport. I don’t know why nobody from the shop called to tell me that they noticed a huge pile of oil where it was parked. I was alone with a newborn- I’m glad I could get to a gas station and not get stranded.
