He was not friendly, did not offer assistance, did not speak well of U-Haul company. I was charged an additional $143.48. On 08/05/18 I was contracted by U-Haul and asked if I could drop off the truck at another location besides Boone, NC - the other locations were not on my route. I stated that I could drive it back to Wytheville and was told that would be acceptable and be given credit for doing so. I then called back on 08/10/2018 to make sure I would not be charged for return trip since I was doing U-Haul a favor by not leaving the truck in Boone, NC and again was told I would be given extra mileage to cover the trip back. I called U-Haul on 08/11/2018 to let them know that I could not return the truck to the Max Meadows location and that the Marshall Street location was closed, I asked whether to leave the truck at a closed location or return in the morning when they were open and was told to wait till they were open. On 08/12/2018, I checked the Marshall Street website and it stated that the location was open, I tried to call twice and only received a recording - no option to leave a message. I went by and no one was in the office, door was locked, I then left the key in the drop box. I was told by U-Haul that by bringing the truck back to Wytheville, VA instead of leaving the truck in Boone, NC that I would be given a credit on my account and not be charged extra for mileage. The additional charge is not acceptable and will be denied.

Truck's a.c. wasn't cooling. Ran rough. Tried using the ap to pick up, HASSLE!!! Still had to call 2 different numbers to get help. You need to execute better technology!

state clearly that when preferred location is not available it could be very far away from desired location to get equipment. Website should not show equipment available when it truly is not! There should be more effort to move equipment to desired areas when website states they are available

While UHaul corporate is FABULOUS, we were treated abominably by the gentleman at this location. Initially I was laughed at when I inquired about a truck rental (apparently holiday weekends are super busy...somehow he expected me to know that) and told "good luck." When we returned the truck and inquired as to a specific charge that was larger than we expected, he became extraordinarily irate. He was shouting at us in front of our 5-year-old daughter telling us he isn't going to waste his time and we needed to just get out. We paid him/UHaul $850 for the truck rental. For that amount of money, we expect an explanation of charges. Even if I have to travel out of town to rent another UHaul, I will NEVER rent from this facility again! And I will tell anyone who will listen that they need to choose a different UHaul place. Very saddened that this individual is allowed to represent UHaul.

When I was charged the extra $600.00 and asked her for her help I was told me that she could not help me. She could not connect H.Q. and I was going to have to do that myself.

Dear Sirs I would like to say the service was very good and friendly. with one exception I originally had reserved a van at the Max Medows location for Saturday but the van was not returned to the location when I went to pick it up they were able to send to the Wytheville location for a alternative vehicle which I ended up using it was more expensive but I needed to move some things .im disappointed that I had to pay more fore a different vehicle when I had the van reserved

The drop off location have used before renting U-Haul. He is an excellent representative for U-Haul. Always accommodating and always working hard to help meet your needs. My family has used him several times they’re in Wytheville and he is extremely helpful.

This is another drop off in wytheville. The one I was told to go to had no working phone and no one there. So I took it to chapmannroad.

I had a guaranteed reservation at B&B for 8am 9/30, but agent told neighbor he wouldn't be in! He wouldn't answer his phone and voice mail box was full. I had to go to Appalachian to get a trailer. This made me 2 hours late getting move started! I was told there would be a $50 credit on rental because of the problem with B&B. Master #20554530. Where's my credit?

Contract was not entered correctly at pick up. Info online for return was incorrect. I received numerous phone calls about return to the truck that was not due to be returned for 2 days. Contract was not in the system when I called Richmond dispatch... I will never use Uhaul again and would discourage anyone I know from using this company. You made an already stressful situation 100 times worse than it had to be!!
