We originally reserved a truck out of Redding and prior to pickup we found out through the app our pickup location was now Yreka. No one called to talk to us or notify us. I had to call Uhaul to inquire the change. That is when I was told the truck I reserved in Redding had been rented and I could get a truck from Yreka. I was offered 100 extra travel miles and $100 credit toward the rental. I accepted it because I was stuck needing the truck and it was too late in the week to seek another rental company and truck. This was a real inconvenience and caused me 3 extra hours of travel time, so I would say the compensation didn't cover the inconvenience caused. Then at Yreka they did not have a Uhaul rental agent available to process the rental so they had to put me on the phone with Uhaul. The fuel tank was under 3/4 full, more like 2/3s full because it was between 1/2 and 3/4. This wasn't an issue until we turned the vehicle in. We originally rented a truck, a car trailer, and car dollie from Redding Uhaul a week before the move. As the time to move approached the app indicated the truck had to be picked in Yreka and the car trailer in Weed. The Uhaul person at Weed had difficulty speaking and understanding English and told "Sorry buddy" but he could not rent me the car hauler sitting outside of their business. Uhaul rerouted me to Montaque for the car trailer, Montague was great. Then we picked up the car dollie in Redding. While there we noticed they had 2 26 foot trucks with keys on their board available for rent and 3 car haul trailers available. It makes one wonder why I had to drive 96 miles out of my way and spend an extra 3 hours to rent all the equipment I needed and was promised originally from Redding. All of this to say, I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone and will probably go out of my way to use Penske or Budget in the future

How U-Haul Reviews WorkLady was really rude and unprofessional
Roy MA lot of confusion amongst the staff on duty. The person who handles U-Haul was not working and no one was cross-trained to help. Myself and Traffic talked the employee through the dispatch process and I was able to leave.
Visa GWhen I picked up the truck the gas tank wasnt completely full. I filled the tank when I returned it. The cashiers at the gas station where I picked up the truck was not fully trained on renting the truck. It took longer than it should. But they did the best that they could.
