I was charged an insurance fee even though I had waived the insurance. While the employee did give me a cash refund for the overcharge, it was still an inconvenience that shouldn’t have happened. Additionally, I was initially given the wrong car key, which caused further confusion. Overall, the issues were resolved, but the experience could have been much smoother

Make your online reservation system, website, and phone apps a LOT easier to navigate and use. They don't always work, either -- even if I CAN figure them out...
JON SA small, one-person shop. Very friendly and pleasant. Business hours are sometimes flexible v but easy to deal with in advance. Easy after-hours return. FAR more friendly and approachable than the U-Haul app or their online website... Faster than the phone app, too!
JON SMy only complaint with U-Haul is that I find the online reservation system and the phone app VERY hard to navigate and not seamless at all. Trying (unsuccessfully) to make a repeat/return reservation online took me 10 minutes. By contrast, when I called the 800 number, I was done in less than 3 minutes flat. The phone works faster and better for me by far!
