GM was very helpful and knowledgeable. Equipment was NOT clean. It was infested with ants. We had to spray out the trailer with a hose but it still had an infestation.

This was my first time renting a vehicle. I was quoted around $50 for my rental at the time of pickup. When I returned the vehicle my total was over $70. I was told there is an upcharge for weekend mileage upon return, but was told nothing about mileage charges at the time of rental. The process, store, vehicle, and store associates were good and it was probably just an oversight, but relaying that information at the time of rental would have prevented some frustration on my part.

My only issue was that I had asked and paid for 60 moving blankets but was only given 30. I thought that there would be 12 blankets in a bundle but there was only 6. When I saw 5 bundles I thought I was good. When turning the truck in I was accused of keeping blankets. That was my only issue.

I would talk to the team about focusing on the customer. 2nd time I've rented here recently, and they get easily distracted on other things going on, etc. While you're with one customer, focus on what you're doing with them. Also, your computer system seems to take a lot of time and messing around to get the transaction done.

you must maintain the equipment you must double check and recheck tires on vehicles especially the ones hauling long distance we rent these moving trucks because we are moving merchandise that we consider to be valuable and we would like to arrive safely to whatever destinations we’re traveling to so my only recommendation is to make sure that all tires are serviced after every return and not just a personal eye evaluation,,unfortunately this will be my second rental that I have rented from U haul within the last eight months that resulted in me having a blowout . The first one was in September. I rented a trailer before I could even leave the state of Florida I experienced a blowout. The second time was a few days ago heading back down to Florida from North Dakota in a 10 foot truck. I experience a blowout in Tennessee in the middle of the night on a very dark road surrounded by 18 wheelers, that alone is a very scary situation being a woman by myself on the road, after that experience, my nerves were shot so of course I pulled over to a rest stop to sleep for the remaining of the night which caused my travels to be even longer. All I could think of is how I could’ve lost my life and this being the second time so I am also feeling skeptical about ever renting from U-Haul again. And advising my family members not to rent. also, just to be clear I cannot give the location a higher rating that I would have loved to have done because the rep there was very friendly and very nice but because of my experience with the tires, there’s no way I can rank that location with a high star.

The equipment itself was clean and well maintained, and staff were helpful. One challenge was limited truck availability across North Dakota during winter months. It appears many customers are relocating out of state during this time, which causes local shortages. In contrast, states like Arizona, Texas, and Utah seem to have much higher availability. Additional winter inventory planning for northern states could help future customers.

Just to make sure that all truck batteries are charged throughout the winter. When I initially got there the truck I was supposed to rent. The battery was dead but the lady inside was a very helpful. Gave me another truck to use. The truck was nice in excellent condition. Great gas mileage overall an amazing experience.

I wasn’t planning on getting a storage unit so this was an unexpected last-minute thing. Between the lady on the phone and wanted the facility it went smoothly thanks to them.

The storage unit door doesn't stay open. When brought to the attention of a staff member they told me a temporary fix which worked but it never got permanently fixed. The staff member told me a lot of the doors are like that. If I were to be partially refunded for emptying my unit early, I would have.

I really loved the friendly staff, they are always helpful and very personable. They always had answers and make you feel at home. I will miss seeing them often, they are like family. When I’m ready to move again and need storage I will definitely choose them! I highly recommend their facilities, and when friends ask, I send them there. I have great appreciation for the help of Brad Parks. He was always helpful and hard working and friendly. The gentleman who checked me out of the storage facility on 2 August 2022 was also an excellent employee, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, most of the staff that I interacted with last year, 2021, were not at all friendly or efficient to the point of being rude. However, this last year I have seen a marked improvement in attitude and customer service. Again, I highly praise Brad Parks for his professional and courteous service.

The units were too small for the prices, when other storage facilities in close proximity to the u-haul I stored at were way bigger for a lot less $. Also, U-Haul does not do any kind of pro-rating. So if you have to pay for the new month, but can't move your stuff out until a day or two later, you're stuck with the whole month's rent cost, which is hefty. I do have to comment on the staff at the North Hill facility in Minot, ND. Every single employee I came in contact always tried to go above & beyond to get you what you needed/wanted within their company rules. They were all so helpful, kind & understanding. Of course their hands were tied at times due to company policy, but overall, they were the absolute best!!!!

My unit was alllll the way in the back corner, accessing it with large objects from the main door was a little challenging. There was an exit door by my unit, I would have loved it if it were authorized for use to move items in and out. I don't think it was, but also didn't want to chance it without permission.

Stored items back in 2016 for military PCS. returned shortly in 2017 for a friend’s wedding and unfortunately forgot to relock it. Staff put a new lock on and sent the new key back to my emergency address. Returned in 2021 to have shipping company relocate everything. After 5 years untouched, everything was in the same condition as I originally left it in.

The facility is nice but the prices are way too high. $90 for. 5x10?!?! Also I moved out of my unit the beginning of this month, submitted the move out form like I was suppose to and they accepted it and they are STILL trying to charge me for the full month. Called the store and corporate about it and was on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF only to be told they have no record of me ever renting there and that my units rented out to someone else! So they are trying to get paid twice for the same unit. Not impressed at all! Rented that unit for 6 years with little issues until now and now I’m being sent a $120 bill for an account no one can find!

Most everything was fine -- except the rent was raised once in mid-term and would have been raised again if we had not cleared the locker and moved out. I considered this a "tacky" move which shouldn't have happened. The raised rent gave no appreciable benefit to the renter.

On Broadway in Minot North Dakota they are never physically in the store you can call they will never answer . This is a poor staffed facility.I would never consider uhaul as an option for moving nor will I recommend uhaul at that location to anyone.

Only reason I say no is because the prices are outrageous and I can't make it to the place before they close and I had issues with my card a few times it also closed early a few times and I drove a long ways to be sure I was there before they closed other than those little issues it was fine but I'll have to find a unit cheaper than uhaul next time

Box at door looks a little unsecure. Was told one time someone may have broke in while I was away and should look to make sure nothing way stolen. I was in utah at the time and asked if they could break the lock and they said there would be a $50 fee I'd have to pay.... Wtf this is a failure in your system not mine. Only compliant and nothing was stolen.

As a first-time U-Haul truck and storage renter, I was very relieved at how well the experience went. After bringing a truckload of belongings across the country, getting it unloaded into a storage unit and turning in the truck were very easy to do and the people were very helpful. Lyle, my main concern is that your attitude towards costumers is apathetic and condescending. You were rude to my fiance when she asked if there was a dumpster in the area. It didn't seem like had any interest in helping me. You seemed bitter that my trailer rental included a complimentary month of storage and when I asked for 10 x10 x10 you told me that the only unit available was a 5x10x10. My friend checked in less than an hour later and was given a bigger unit. Based off that experience I would not recommend using this facility to others.

Sometimes staff were very busy and it took a while to be helped. Also since the storage doors are open during business hours and it is cold outside, some stragglers come inside that are not costumers.
