Recommends this product

Used it for a large piece of art. Awesome for being sturdy and adjustable. Hardest part was protecting the art and sliding it in. Would be great if you added corner pieces to hold the items in place.

If you do purchase this item from U-Haul and find that it does not fit your needs, you should have no issues returning this box to a U-Haul center near by with your receipt for a full refund.

–Catherine L Cech 5/26/2021 10:12:03 AM

The 2 included boxes are heavy-duty and double-walled for maximum protection. The boxes are designed to telescope into one another for easy adjustment tot he size of each TV. Once the four foam corners are attached to the television the two boxes slide around the tv to enclose it at which time you will use tape to secure the boxes together for extra security. For more detailed instruction, there is a very handy video that will guide you through the steps of utilizing this box.

–Savannah 6/24/2020 12:03:59 PM

The diagonal measurement of the TV, is that just corner to corner of the screen itself or should you measure tv as a whole and include the frame of the TV?

–J Sim 6/17/2020 5:48:49 PM

Hello! The measurements typically given for TVs do not include the frame i.e. if you have a 42" flat screen, there might be a couple of extra inches of frame to account for. Our box accounts for those few extra inches, so if you have a 70" TV with a thick frame, your TV should still fit. We always recommend measuring before you buy just in case! Thank you!

–Savannah 4/8/2020 9:36:02 AM

Do you sell a box kit for 75 inch TVs?

–Lisa 2/9/2020 2:24:32 AM

Hi, Lisa! Our TV kit could possibly work for a 75" TV, but it can depend on the frame of the screen and how thick it is. We recommend measuring your TV's exact dimensions to determine if it can fit in this box (73” wide x 40” tall x 6” deep (4-5” of overlap between each of the telescoped boxes recommended)). Thank you!

–Savannah 2/14/2020 9:19:38 AM

–Savannah 11/18/2019 11:12:18 AM

How do you measure a tv prior to purchasing a box?

–Ben Demidio 9/21/2019 7:59:13 AM

Hi, Ben! Based on the measurements provided, the TV will not fit in our TV kit box. This kit holds TVs up to 70", and your TV appears to be about 76". What we can recommend is using Furniture Pads, Enviro-Bubble, and Mover's Stretch Wrap to wrap and secure the TV while moving. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 9/23/2019 8:07:28 AM

I need a box for a picture that is 70x48

–Jean Scott 9/11/2019 7:34:53 AM

Hello, Jean! Our Flat Panel TV Kit would be the only possible option as far as boxes go. If you are simply looking to protect a picture while moving, we recommend wrapping the picture in Furniture Pads and securing the furniture pads with Mover's Stretch Wrap to hold them in place. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 9/11/2019 8:38:04 AM

What are the exact dimensions of the boxes? LxWxH

–Chris 9/6/2019 5:34:38 PM

Hi, Chris! This kit includes 2 half boxes - individually, they are each 40" x 36.5" x 6". When the 2 halves are put together and fully extended, the box measures 40" x 73" x 6". Keep in mind that we recommend at least 4-5" of overlap when using these boxes to pack a TV. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 9/9/2019 9:26:24 AM

How many Cubic Feet is this box when fully extended?

–David Barber 8/17/2019 12:58:45 PM

Hi, David! The volume of our Flat Panel TV Kit fully extended is about 10 cubic feet. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 8/19/2019 8:03:35 AM

What does it mean that this is a moving kit but it's not for shipping?

–Francie Epperson 7/28/2019 8:00:31 PM

Hi, Francie! Our Flat Panel TV Kit is designed to be used to transport a TV in a moving truck or trailer, but we do not recommend using it to ship a TV with a parcel service such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and any other. For assistance properly shipping a TV, we recommend visiting your local parcel service store to see what they recommend. Thank you!

–Savannah 7/31/2019 2:16:42 PM

do you have a packing box for a apple mac 27"screen key board cables

–philip magee 6/17/2019 4:29:27 PM

Hi, Philip! Our Medium TV Kit would likely be the best option for a computer of that size. Please be aware, however, that with the stand attached, it may not fit in the box. The stand may need to be removed. To determine this, please measure the widest portion of the stand to determine if it will fit in a 5-3/8” wide box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/3/2019 10:38:02 AM

Please advise on assembly of medium and large TV kits. I purchased on U-Haul.com and they all arrived flat. Do I cut the corners to close the ends? Thank you

–Bill Donovan 6/6/2019 3:28:15 PM

Hello, Bill! On the end with pre-cut flaps, please fold in the smaller flaps and then fold the larger flaps over to close the ends of each box. Both halves of the kit will have an open end - these ends are brought together and telescoped to create one large, adjustable box to enclose your TV in. We recommend watching the video here on the product page for a visual on how the box looks when assembled and how it is used. We hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 6/24/2019 8:55:08 AM

How do you install a 60 inch TV in this box?

–Bobbi Liker 5/23/2019 11:45:23 AM

Hi, Bobbi! We highly recommend watching the video here on the product page that demonstrates the best way to use our Flat Panel TV Kit. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/24/2019 3:28:30 PM

What ate the box dimensions? Will it fit in my trunk? or backseat?

–Karen 5/14/2019 6:29:29 AM

Hello, Karen! The flat, unassembled dimensions of our TV kit are 41-1/4" x 38-1/2" x 8". When picked up from your local U-Haul center, the kit will already be assembled and will measure about 36.5” x 6” x 40”. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 5/15/2019 7:31:35 AM

Do you sell the corner inserts separately? I have 2 TV boxes from a previous move but the corner inserts are gone, can I pick those up without the box or must it be included in the set?

–Nicholas J Schurhammer 4/18/2019 9:01:23 AM

Hello, Nicholas! We do not sell the exact corner inserts that come with our flat panel TV kits, but we do sell something similar: TV / Art Edge Protectors. Thank you!

–Savannah 4/25/2019 7:13:53 AM

Can i use this box to carry items like sound bar which is 40 inches long?

–Murali 3/21/2019 8:14:54 PM

Hello, Murali! Yes, you could potentially use this box for that purpose. Please keep in mind this box is designed for moving or storing a flat-screen TV and has not been tested for the application you have described. Thank you!

–Savannah 3/22/2019 11:37:47 AM

–Savannah 11/15/2018 8:17:57 AM

I have a samsung 55 inch CURVED tv. Will this box work for me? Will be on moving truck 2,000 miles.

–PJ Willhite 10/27/2018 8:43:49 AM

–Savannah 10/30/2018 7:23:36 AM

My TV is 63 x 36 and 1.5 inch wide but 72 diagonal will this box work

–Elie Elovic 10/19/2018 5:18:56 PM

Hi, Elie! Although a TV of that size would technically fit into this box kit, it would not fit with the foam corners intact. We do not recommend using this box for a TV of that size since you would not be able to use the foam corners to protect the TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 10/22/2018 2:56:58 PM

My TV is 44X28X10". Will my TV fit in this box?

–Denise 10/10/2018 6:10:57 PM

Hi, Denise! We're sorry, our Flat Panel TV Kit can only hold TVs up to 6" thick. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 10/11/2018 7:34:17 AM

Do TV’s have to stay in up right position to be move?

–Connie 9/12/2018 3:14:12 PM

Hi, Connie! We strongly recommend keeping the box upright when a TV is inside of it. Laying it down on its side could result in damage to the TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/13/2018 7:53:57 AM

This says only for moving, not for shipping. What should I use for shipping?

–Dani 9/2/2018 7:19:21 PM

Hey, Dani! We recommend talking to your local shipping experts at the parcel service provider of your choice such as FedEx or UPS. They will be able to recommend the best way for you to ship a TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/4/2018 3:00:41 PM

–Amelia 8/14/2018 12:39:01 PM

Hi, Amelia! At this time, our flat panel tv kit is not designed to work with curved TVs. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 8/14/2018 2:11:16 PM

I have framed art that is 3’ by 4’ , will this work? I can’t ship a box that is 29” wide, 47” high and 82” long. Does this box extended fit that?

–Amy DiBello 8/3/2018 8:15:10 AM

Hi, Amy! Yes, the Flat Panel TV Kit could fit a piece of framed art of that size. The extended box with 4-5" of overlap is 73” wide x 40” tall x 6” deep. Keep in mind that this box kit is a moving kit and is NOT designed for shipping. Thank you!

–Savannah 8/8/2018 4:58:42 AM

I understand that this box says it is not recommended for shipping but does that include using your ubox? I plan on moving with the ubox and am not sure if my tv will be safe inside with this box?

–Kristen 7/22/2018 4:08:47 PM

Hi, Kristen! Our Flat Panel TV Kits are safe to use inside of a U-Box. We recommend filling any extra space in the box with furniture pads to prevent the TV from shifting while in transit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/23/2018 10:04:05 AM

I am going to shiping my tv 55" by air to another country. My airline says I will need a box with 100" in total(LxWxH). It will fit?

–Amarildo j Antunes 7/21/2018 11:35:49 AM

Hello, Amarildo! We do not recommend using the Flat Panel TV Kit for shipping. It is only meant to be used for moving and storage. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 7/23/2018 7:33:11 AM

Can this box be used as check in airline ?

–KR 7/10/2018 12:39:42 AM

Hello! Our flat panel TV kit is not designed for shipping, therefore it would not be suitable as checked luggage on an aircraft. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 7/10/2018 7:09:39 AM

Will a 32'' inch lg tv fit in this box?

–Annoymous 7/2/2018 6:12:47 PM

Hello! Yes, the flat panel TV kit can be used for a TV of that size. Since a 32" TV is on the smaller size, we recommend filling empty space in the box with something like Furniture Pads to keep the TV from shifting and moving in the box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/3/2018 2:37:49 PM

Where’s the stretch wrap?

–Andrea Allen 6/25/2018 2:50:57 PM

Hey, Andrea! Mover's Stretch Wrap is not included with the flat panel tv kit. Stretch wrap can be purchased separately and used to help secure the foam pieces but is not necessary to use the kit. Thank you!

–Savannah 6/26/2018 7:56:07 AM

Is it recommended to get the flat screen tv cover as well as this flat panel tv kit?

–Sean 6/5/2018 10:07:23 AM

Hi, Sean! Yes, we recommend using a Flat Screen TV Cover with the Flat Panel TV Kit for an extra layer of protection. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 6/5/2018 11:25:37 AM

Will this fit a 65 inch curved tv?

–Toni P 5/30/2018 5:56:47 PM

Hi, Toni! At this time, the flat panel TV kit cannot accommodate curved televisions. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/31/2018 7:49:15 AM

Hi, can I put two Samsung tvs in the one box, to move in a van? Appears that they would fit.

–Brian 5/11/2018 11:57:39 AM

Hey, Brian! We do not recommend using one Flat Panel TV Kit for two TVs. Please use a separate kit for each TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/14/2018 10:25:46 AM

Do you make a moving cox suitable for a 65 inch curved tv?

–Sarah 4/16/2018 5:16:27 AM

Hi, Sarah! At this time, we do not have any boxes suitable for curved televisions. We apologize for the inconvenience!

–melissa 4/8/2018 11:36:26 AM

Hi, Melissa! No, the Flat Panel TV Kit is not compatible with curved televisions. Thank you for asking!

–Savannah 4/10/2018 1:13:40 PM

Will an item that measures 58x21x10 fit in this box? Do you have an alternative box that would fit my item better? Thanks!

–Carolyne 4/1/2018 9:21:56 PM

Hi, Carolyne! Unfortunately, your item will not fit in the flat panel TV kit or any other boxes we currently offer. Thank you!

–Savannah 4/3/2018 10:00:13 AM

I have a mirror in a frame that is 38” high, 48” wide and about 3” deep. Will this box work, and if so what padding do need if any, please.

–Marcia 3/18/2018 4:51:06 PM

Hi, Marcia! Yes, the Flat Panel TV Kit could be used for a mirror of that size. We also recommend purchasing Furniture Pads to wrap your mirror in for extra protection. Additionally, you can fill any extra space in the box with Packing Paper or Packing Peanuts. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 3/20/2018 1:53:31 PM

Will the box be able to fit inside a 28" travel suitcase?

–Mat 2/8/2018 9:12:33 PM

Hello, Mat! No, this box will not be able to fit inside of a 28" travel suitcase. Thank you for asking!

–Savannah 2/13/2018 8:51:14 AM

Will this box work for a 65 inch curved screen TV?

–Darrell 2/4/2018 12:33:26 PM

Hi, Darrell! Unfortunately, the Flat Panel TV Kit does not work with curved televisions. Thank you for asking!

–Savannah 2/6/2018 8:55:58 AM

Can it fit a 55in tv

–Tyra 1/26/2018 6:48:03 PM

Hi, Tyra! Yes, this TV kit fits TVs up to 70 inches, so it will work for a 55 inch TV. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/30/2018 8:50:52 AM

Will the TV fit with the base stand still attached?

–Gordon 1/26/2018 3:04:31 AM

Hey, Gordon! It depends on the size of the base stand. If the base is particularly large, you may need to remove it. We recommend measuring your TV's dimensions with the base attached to ensure it will fit in the box (the maximum box dimensions are 73” wide x 40” tall x 6” deep). I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/26/2018 10:57:39 AM

will this work with a 55inch curved TV???

–Shane 1/25/2018 5:25:58 PM

Hi, Shane! Unfortunately, the flat panel TV kit does not work with curved televisions. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 1/26/2018 11:55:07 AM

Do you have similar boxes for smaller TVs? I need one for a TV that's about 26".

–Cindi 1/24/2018 2:55:53 AM

Hi, Cindi! You can use a Flat Panel TV Kit for a TV of that size, but please make sure to fill any extra space in the box to prevent shifting. We recommend using furniture pads to fill that space. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/30/2018 8:47:00 AM

Hello! I watched the posted video on this product. I see other products used and MENTIONED to secure, wrap & pack, etc. Are those items apart of this kit? WHAT EXACTLY is INCLUDED inside this kit?

–JAE 1/21/2018 8:16:37 PM

Hello, Jae! The Flat Panel TV Kit includes the two double-walled boxes and the 4 foam pieces that form the 8 points of protection around the TV. The video recommends using Mover's Stretch Wrap to secure the foam pieces to the TV and Furniture Pads to fill any extra space in the box, but these items are sold separately. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/23/2018 11:06:36 AM

Can box be modified to make the height shorter?

–Jack 10/18/2017 12:26:11 PM

Hello, Jack! We do not recommend modifying the boxes since that may lessen the protective and functional aspects of the boxes. If you have a television that is shorter than the height of the box, you can fill the extra space with furniture pads to ensure the TV does not shift while in transit. Thank you!

–Savannah 10/25/2017 10:49:13 AM

Where can I pick one up a flat screen tv box today?

–Cathy 10/17/2017 2:29:59 PM

Hi, Cathy! On the product page, if you select "pick up in store," enter your zip code, and click the "Find A Store" button, you will be shown a list of locations that currently have the Flat Panel TV Kit in stock for you to pick up. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 10/18/2017 10:25:43 AM

Can one ship this box with a TV in it using FedEx, for example, without damage/complications?

–Brooke 9/20/2017 4:32:34 PM

Hey, Brooke! No, this box is a moving kit and it is not intended to be used for shipping. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 9/20/2017 4:44:56 PM

My TV is 48" wide. Can the two boxes be telescoped to a width of 52". I see that the recommended overlap is just 4" -5" which would be too wide at 63"

–Patricia 8/8/2017 10:06:09 PM

Hi, Patricia! Yes, the boxes can be telescoped. We don't recommend telescoping wider than 67-68". I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 8/9/2017 9:45:51 AM

how do i use it for a 32" tv

–joe 5/13/2017 2:50:16 PM

I plan to purchase the flat panel TV box already assembled. Given the size of the box, are there areas along the outside of the box that will allow me to carry it more easily upstairs. Please advise. Thank you.

–Jo 4/24/2017 11:33:45 AM

Hi, Jo. Yes, our Flat Panel TV Kit features handles for easy carrying.

–TIMOTHY 4/24/2017 3:29:36 PM

Is the flat panel TV box kit sell for 19.95 in store or on line orders on. I was in a store and the price was 32.00.

–Ken 2/20/2017 3:50:51 PM

Hi Ken. This kit is priced at $19.95 online and in most of our corporate centers. If you visited one of our neighborhood dealers then the price may vary because as business owners they are able to set whatever price they see fit on their inventory.

–TIMOTHY 2/22/2017 9:23:38 AM

Will this box fit a 75in tv or no

–Pete 1/9/2017 11:46:06 PM

Hey Pete, this kit is designed for use with TV's up to 70", so we can't guarantee it will work with your 75". With such a large television it may be hard to find boxes designed specifically for it, so you may have to get creative with some furniture pads and some large boxes such as this TV kit or a Four Piece Picture/Mirror Kit. Hope this helps.

–TIMOTHY 1/10/2017 8:43:56 AM

My TV is 65" but it is curved. Will this box assembly accommodate my TV?

–Paul 7/9/2016 5:00:05 PM

We apologize Paul, but at this time we do not know how the Flat Panel TV Kit works with curved TVs.

–SAVANNAH 8/11/2016 1:55:26 PM

I have a 55" TV still in the original box that I want to pack more securely. The dimensions are 6.5 wide x 9 tall x 58.5 long Do you think I could make this box work?

–Krissy 5/2/2016 7:52:33 AM

Because your original box is 6.5" wide and our TVKIT is only 6" wide, we do not believe that this will work.

–SAVANNAH 6/10/2016 8:14:36 AM

The end of the video features blankets but it's not quite clear... How should they be used?

–Robert G 4/27/2016 7:35:23 PM

The blankets are a suggestion to fill unused space in the box to limit shifting of the TV.

You can use U-Haul furniture pads or your own towels or bedding.

–Joseph 4/28/2016 3:06:34 PM

I'm confused about the depth of the item this box holds because I'm seeing different responses to what seems to be the same question. My TV screen is 5 inches deep. The box is labelled that it takes a screen that is 4 inches deep. I'm reading below that you can use this box for an item that is up to 6 inches deep. Will this box work for my screen which is 5 inches deep?

–Margot 2/1/2016 9:24:04 AM

The foam protectors and a TV up to 4" deep will take up the 6" of depth of the box.

If you do not use the included foam protectors the box can be used for something up to 6" deep. Unfortunately, a TV that is 5" deep is too large to utilize the foam protectors.

–Joseph 2/1/2016 9:52:36 AM

What is the lbs-per-square-inch burst strength of the U-Haul Flat Panel TV Kit?

–alexander.galgoci@gmail.com 1/28/2016 11:31:17 PM

We do not measure our boxes using burst strength, we use ECT. Both boxes in the Flat Panel TV Kit are double walled, 48 ECT boxes.

–Joseph 1/29/2016 10:30:33 AM

I need to move the Samsung 4K 65" curved TV and was wondering whether I could use the kit for that purpose.

–G 1/23/2016 8:11:19 PM

We apologize, but at this time we do not know how the Flat Panel TV Kit works with curved TVs.

–Joseph 1/25/2016 10:10:37 AM

I have a 75" flat screen and a 70" will this kit fit it

–Anne o 1/17/2016 11:52:01 AM

The kit will fit up to a 70" TV.

–Joseph 1/19/2016 4:40:48 PM

Is the TV included?

–Mimbo 11/17/2015 5:01:02 PM

No, a TV is not included in the moving kit.

–Joseph 11/23/2015 5:15:40 PM

What can you tell me about the foam used in this kit? Is it a had or soft foam? Are the pieces hinged together? Is using the stretch wrap the only way to hold them on my TV?

–Larry 10/14/2015 1:16:42 PM

The foam is on the harder side and yes, the pieces are hinged. Stretch wrap is recommended but not necessary, you can fit the foam tightly to your TV using the perforated pieces in the foam.

–Joseph 10/19/2015 10:43:25 AM

Hi, I watched the video and understand how to place the foam corners on a TV. My question,: is more padding needed around the TV or is the box constructed such that the screen will be protected? I believe the woman in the video was placing something on the TV after the shrink wrap, but the video does not show how else to pack she packed the TV.

–Helen Spoto 9/26/2015 5:00:40 PM

To limit movement and fill space the woman in the video places a furniture pad in the box.

The boxes are double walled to they provide heavy duty protection, but it is a good idea to fill space with protective material to reduce shifting.

–Joseph 9/28/2015 11:57:07 AM

Where do foams go on tv

–Doris Smith 9/20/2015 7:09:41 AM

Doris, I would suggest watching the video posted on this page for the easiest explanation of where the foam pieces should be placed.

That being said, the foam pieces go on the the top, bottom and sides of the TV.

–Joseph 9/21/2015 11:43:52 AM

Hi..I have flat screen LED 50"(screen diagonally measured 50 inches). Will this box fit. If it fits I am planning to pack and take this along with me in airline as checked in luggage.

–Roy C 9/18/2015 8:32:21 AM

This box can fit a 50" TV.

–Joseph 9/18/2015 10:49:33 AM

How much does the box itself weigh?

–Ann 9/9/2015 2:04:26 PM

9.8 pounds.

Thanks for asking!

–Joseph 9/10/2015 11:51:10 AM

Hi,I have a 42 inch flat panel. If i purchase online, will you be able to ship the box assembled? Or, in order to get it assembled, i have to pick up at a nearby store?

–Damion 9/2/2015 5:15:08 PM

If the box is shipped to your home, it will come flat (unassembled). If you choose to pick up in store, it will come assembled.

–Joseph 9/3/2015 9:28:29 AM

Hi, my airline says a checked luggage has to be 62 linear inches (L+W+H). I have a 42 inches flat panel tv, will any of your boxes work for me?

–Damion 8/30/2015 6:28:19 PM

The Flat Panel TV Kit will be too large once your TV is packed inside, as the fully telescoped size in linear inches is 82.5".

–Joseph 8/31/2015 11:06:25 AM

How do you use the styrafoam that is in the box for the TV?? We are not sure how to position these with the TV

–Ron 8/30/2015 7:32:42 AM

Hey Ron, if you look at the top of this page there is a video that details exactly how to use the styrofoam inserts!

–Joseph 8/31/2015 11:05:55 AM

I have a stained glass mosaic table that is 65" x 40" x 1.5" wide. Fully extended, the telescoping box is 73" (with no overlap). So I'd have 8" to overlap, right? My table is 40" exactly, as is the box. Will this work do you think?

–Tanya Reeves 6/20/2015 10:16:06 AM

Since your table is exactly 40", we suggest you take a look at our Large Mirror Box.

If you purchase two of these boxes, they can telescope just like the TV Kit, but you'll have more height and space for padding and protective stuff.

The boxes together measure 70" wide by 48.5" tall with 4" of overlap and a depth of 4".

–Joseph 6/29/2015 9:23:24 AM

Would you recommend this box for a tall mirror that is about 65" tall, 38" wide and about 4" deep?

–Mark 6/17/2015 10:21:55 AM

Mark, it looks like our Flat Panel TV Kit will be just too small for your mirror.

Good news is we carry a Large Mirror Box that should work if you buy 2 and telescope them together as soon in the pictures on the product page.

Thanks for asking!

–Joseph 6/18/2015 3:39:12 PM

I can't understand how these boxes work,my TV is 42 inches and I need to purchase a moving box for it. Can you p!ease explain in detail how to pack it or do you guys have someone who can and also does the box come with bubble wrap?

–Elana 6/6/2015 10:03:26 AM

Here is a link the assembly video.

The box does not come with bubble wrapping, however we do carry anti-static bubble!

–Joseph 7/2/2015 12:29:01 PM

What is the weight of the box? I am considering shipping my TV as checked luggage. It is 46 inch, the original box is 45x30x5.5 inch. What would be the best material to absorb shocks to put between the kit box and the original box?

–dimitar 6/2/2015 8:11:03 PM

The weight of the Flat Panel TV Kit is 10 lbs.

Furniture Pads and/or bubble would be great products for shock absorption.

–Joseph 6/29/2015 12:12:58 PM

My tv is 60x24 will the box work for that? How come I can't ship it with these boxes?

–K.Prieto 5/22/2015 5:15:40 AM

Yes, you can fit a 60" x 24" TV in the TV Kit.

If you decide to ship the TV, you should pack it with enough packing material to pad it from possible breakage and to eliminate shifting while it is handled by the shipping company.

–Joseph 5/29/2015 10:08:27 AM

Im a little confused, "The kit fits 32” to 70” flat panel TVs (actual screen measured diagonally)". You mention that each of the two boxes are 36.5' wide and 40' tall. These dimensions would not fit a 50"+ flat screen or am I missing something?. My tv is 60" corner to corner with 51' wide by 31' tall. will this fit? Thanks

–Damien 5/19/2015 12:30:38 PM

The kit contains two boxes. One is the inner box, one is the outer box.

They both measure 36.5" wide and 40" tall. When the inner box and outer box are used together (one telescopes into the other) their combined measurement is 73" x 40" without overlap (overlap of the boxes is strongly encouraged).

Your TV would fit with plenty of overlap of the two boxes. Thanks for asking!

–Joseph 5/22/2015 4:13:01 PM

Does one flat panel box hold one or two TV's?

–Dan L 4/25/2015 11:40:12 AM

The Flat Panel TV Kit will hold one TV up to 4" in depth.

–Joseph 4/27/2015 9:25:58 AM

we have a 55" flat screen TV... will this box work for us?

–Cristi 4/23/2015 9:33:28 AM

Yes, the kit works for flat screens up to 70" (diagonally measured).

–Joseph 4/23/2015 12:02:57 PM

I need a box for a mirror frame 49"×39"×2".Do you have it? Thank you.

–Ana 4/12/2015 8:45:53 AM

Yes we do!

By using two of our Large Mirror Boxes together, they form one large box that measures 66" x 48" x 4" (measurement is without overlap).

One box telescopes into the other and then they are taped in the middle to secure them to one another.

–Joseph 4/16/2015 11:40:58 AM

what is the size of the box lenght height withd

The Flat Panel TV Kit includes two boxes that telescope (one fits into the other).

When fully extended, the two boxes together are 73" wide x 40" tall x 6" deep. Each box is 36.5" wide x 40" tall x 6" deep. When packing a TV, we recommend 4-5" of overlap of the two boxes.

–Joseph 3/30/2015 12:20:26 PM

My 55 inch TV has a stand that is more than 4 inches wide. Can I still use this box, or is there a better way?

–Tony K 3/28/2015 10:19:23 AM

The stand should be removed prior to packing the TV. Thank you!

–Joseph 3/30/2015 12:03:57 PM

I would like know the parts of your product as well as the cost of each part. On the other hand I would like to know the work breakdown structure and the associated cost of each item. How you have calculate 19.95?

–kaveh khalili 2/21/2015 1:40:01 AM

Hi Kaveh, the Flat Panel TV Kit is made up of an outer box, inner box, and four foam blocks that are hinged to create two points of protections on each side of a TV.

As far as the work breakdown structure and cost of each item goes, we are unable to answer that question due to the subject matter being proprietary information. Thank you.

–Joseph 2/25/2015 8:05:58 AM

what is the inside dimensions of this box?

–Tom 2/16/2015 11:35:42 AM

Our moving supplies program manager writes: "40" tall x 36.5" wide (note: the inner box telescopes into the outer box which is also 36.5" wide) x 6" deep."

–Joseph 2/16/2015 12:57:30 PM

My TV's Measurment is 44.4" x 25.7" x 2.5". What will be the measurement of the box?

–Sanjay 1/26/2015 12:29:55 PM

"Roughly 48.4" W x 40" H x 7.5" D. Depending on how much extra packing material you use, the width might increase. No matter the size of the TV (up to 70" diagonally), the box will be 40" tall and 7.5" deep. The only dimension that changes is the width based on how wide the TV is."

–Ronald 1/28/2015 8:47:38 AM

I'm confused by "Ronald's" answer on the box size. How can it be 40" x 36.5" and yet accept a tv up to 52" screen diagonally measured?

–Beth 1/21/2015 7:48:27 PM

Our moving supplies program manager writes: "The product itself, when one box is telescoped inside the other is 40" tall x 36.5" wide. When fully extended, the two boxes are 72" wide (40" tall). However, when packing a TV, we recommend overlap of the two boxes. A 52" TV (diagonal) is typically around 50" wide so it should accommodate your TV with plenty of overlap." ..... –Kesh 12/28/2014 11:46:12 PM

–Ronald 12/29/2014 8:35:01 AM

–dave 12/21/2014 2:35:15 PM

Why isn't this box suitable for shipping through UPS or FedEx?

–Jessica 11/17/2014 5:03:16 AM

"The box is suitable to ship. However, when packing a very fragile item like a flat panel TV in the box, it is recommended for moving, not shipping."

–Ronald 11/19/2014 7:51:56 AM

My 42" TV is brand new , still in the original packing and has not been unpacked from the original box measuring 42"x26"x6". I am planning to ship this overseas. Would your kit work for me as extra security during the shipping process?

–Gawk 10/22/2014 3:23:45 AM

If your TV, still in original packing will fit in our kit, our kit may "help". But, it is important to remember that our kit, "is a TV moving kit and not designed to be used for shipping via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or any other shipping carrier or method." Using our kit for the shipment you note should only be done knowing our kit is not actually designed to use for shipping.

–Ronald 10/22/2014 9:03:51 AM

Will this box work for me to check in as luggage for my flight?

–Josh 8/30/2014 8:38:09 PM

"You will have to check the restrictions of your specific airline for luggage dimensions. We do not recommend checked baggage for a flat screen TV."

–Ronald 9/2/2014 10:54:47 AM

my tv measures 62" X 38", and 7 " wide. will this box work for me?

–bob 7/15/2014 4:16:07 PM

"Unfortunately no, the 7" depth is too much. The measurements of the assembled box is 40" tall x 36.5" wide (note: the inner box telescopes into the outer box which is also 36.5" wide) x 6" deep."

–Ronald 7/17/2014 8:34:33 AM

what does the box measure ?

–david 7/8/2014 12:59:50 PM

"40" tall x 36.5" wide (note: the inner box telescopes into the outer box which is also 36.5" wide) x 6" deep."

–Ronald 7/11/2014 11:16:39 AM

what is the weight limit of this box?

–julie 7/7/2014 3:02:53 PM

"Based on the construction of the Inner/Outer 350# Double Wall boxes, we recommend a maximum weight capacity of 120 lbs."

–Ronald 7/11/2014 11:55:29 AM

What is internal measurement of this box. I need 60x30x8

–Cathy D 7/3/2014 10:57:25 AM

Our moving supplies program manager writes: "40" tall x 36.5" wide (note: the inner box telescopes into the outer box which is also 36.5" wide) x 6" deep."

Used it for a large piece of art. Awesome for being sturdy and adjustable. Hardest part was protecting the art and sliding it in. Would be great if you added corner pieces to hold the items in place.

Thank you!

–Joyce Van Hoorebeke 4/3/2020 3:26:17 PM

Hello, Joyce! We recommend using Furniture Pads and Stretch Wrap to cover, protect, and wrap the items. I hope that is helpful!

I have a painting which is 48 x 38 x 4. Local move. Does this box work?

–Sarah 1/6/2020 8:33:40 AM

Hi, Sarah! Yes, our Flat Panel TV Kit is large enough for a painting of that size. Thank you!

–Savannah 1/7/2020 2:58:30 PM

I have a canvas painting size 42x56x2 that I need to pack to ship to Singapore from the US. Would this box fit that?

–Hannah 12/16/2019 3:11:29 PM

Hey, Hannah! We do not recommend using our TV kits for shipping, and unfortunately we do not have any boxes that are large enough to accommodate your painting. Thank you!

–Savannah 12/17/2019 10:35:21 AM

Will this box work for a 65" curved tv

–Jon 12/12/2019 4:03:08 PM

Hi, Jon! We do not recommend our Flat Panel TV Kit for curved TVs as it has not been tested for that use case at this time. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 12/13/2019 7:08:43 AM

I have a table that is 36x36x6, would this box work for my package?

–Jean G 11/21/2019 1:42:34 PM

Hello, Jean! Yes, this box should work for a table of that size. Thank you!

–Savannah 11/22/2019 11:12:37 AM

I have a mirror that is 66" H x 32" W x 1"D. Will the large flat screen box work for this?

–Kiki 11/18/2019 8:43:28 AM

Hey, Kiki! Yes, this box kit can be used for a mirror of that size. We recommend wrapping the mirror in Furniture Pads to keep it from shifting and breaking inside of the box while in transit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 11/18/2019 11:12:18 AM

How do you measure a tv prior to purchasing a box?

–MerrieAnn Martin 11/11/2019 1:23:18 PM

Hello, MerrieAnn! This box fits TVs up to 70" in diagonal measurement (the length from one top corner to the opposite bottom corner). I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 11/12/2019 7:15:17 AM

The TV that I want to pack measures 38inches x 66 inches. Will my TV fit in this box?

–brenda martin 11/14/2018 4:24:32 PM

In-store for the contiguous United States is $19.95. In-store in Canada is $25.95 CAD. In-store in Alaska is $25.95. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 11/15/2018 8:17:57 AM

–PJ Willhite 10/27/2018 8:43:49 AM

–Savannah 10/30/2018 7:23:36 AM

My TV is 63 x 36 and 1.5 inch wide but 72 diagonal will this box work

–Elie Elovic 10/19/2018 5:18:56 PM

Hi, Elie! Although a TV of that size would technically fit into this box kit, it would not fit with the foam corners intact. We do not recommend using this box for a TV of that size since you would not be able to use the foam corners to protect the TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 10/22/2018 2:56:58 PM

My TV is 44X28X10". Will my TV fit in this box?

–Denise 10/10/2018 6:10:57 PM

Hi, Denise! We're sorry, our Flat Panel TV Kit can only hold TVs up to 6" thick. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 10/11/2018 7:34:17 AM

Do TV’s have to stay in up right position to be move?

–Connie 9/12/2018 3:14:12 PM

Hi, Connie! We strongly recommend keeping the box upright when a TV is inside of it. Laying it down on its side could result in damage to the TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/13/2018 7:53:57 AM

This says only for moving, not for shipping. What should I use for shipping?

–Dani 9/2/2018 7:19:21 PM

Hey, Dani! We recommend talking to your local shipping experts at the parcel service provider of your choice such as FedEx or UPS. They will be able to recommend the best way for you to ship a TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/4/2018 3:00:41 PM

–Toni P 5/30/2018 5:56:47 PM

Hi, Toni! At this time, the flat panel TV kit cannot accommodate curved televisions. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/31/2018 7:49:15 AM

Hi, can I put two Samsung tvs in the one box, to move in a van? Appears that they would fit.

–Brian 5/11/2018 11:57:39 AM

Hey, Brian! We do not recommend using one Flat Panel TV Kit for two TVs. Please use a separate kit for each TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/14/2018 10:25:46 AM

Do you make a moving cox suitable for a 65 inch curved tv?

–Sarah 4/16/2018 5:16:27 AM

–angelita 3/29/2015 5:24:00 PM

Will an item that is 43.90" x 4.20" x 24.40" fit in this box?

–Kesh 12/28/2014 11:46:12 PM

Sorry. No. An item that size will not fit. Thanks.

–Ronald 12/29/2014 8:35:01 AM

why is this $29.99 when picked up at store and $19.99 when shipped?

–dave 12/21/2014 2:35:15 PM

The retail price is $19.95 when ordered online or picked up at a UHaul company owned center. Thanks.

–Ronald 12/22/2014 9:44:50 AM

do you have a box so that i may ship a bike

–gabriel 11/22/2014 3:36:00 PM

Sorry. No. We do not offer boxes designed for bikes. Thank you.

–Ronald 11/24/2014 8:03:39 AM
