Extremely expensive
Nylon weave webbing ratchet tie-downs are used for tying down loads while transporting to avoid shifting or movement.
Extremely expensive
Never used it.
The product arrived a day after I moved. I have to go to O'Reilly's Auto parts store and purchase this.
Recommends this product
Easy to use, great price!!
I would not rely on the uHaul website to get this, or any, part. I have no idea if this product works. It arrived days after the move was over. The website is flawed - I thought this adapter was being held for me at the counter. I ended up buying what I needed at the Walmart Supercenter when the rental center couldn't find my order for this part. Not only did Uhaul website ship the parts with an arrival date that was after the move, I ended up getting charged for shipping and had to make another run to return them to a uhaul store. 1-800-gouhaul was no help. My guess is this is a 3rd party that's handling accessory services and transition to the digital era.

Are there places inside a U-Box to secure these tie-downs to?
Hi Amy! Yes, there are. Have a great day!
Does it come with a hook?
Hi Ana. These do not come with a hook. I hope that helps.
How wide is this strap?
Hello Jay, We apologize for the late response but 1 inch. Thank you
Will this be long enough to fit around a California king sized bed that is being folded in half to move up stairs.. I understand that I will need more than 1.
Hello, Jacquelyn! We do not recommend using ratchet tie-downs around a mattress, as it will likely ruin the shape of the mattress. if you are attempting to move a mattress up stairs, we recommend something like the Mattress Mover carrying strap. I hope that is helpful!
How long is it?
Hi, Therese! Our ratchet tie-down is 12 feet long. Thanks for asking!
Do you have to rent the truck for 24hrs? Do you get a discount for using it for only a couple of hrs?
Hey Kevin, please visit our Truck Rental homepage to get more information on renting a truck in your area!
how do you release the strap after you have tightened it up on a box?
To release tension, open the ratchet then press the release lever.
How do you secure objects inside your box trucks? Do your trucks have floor anchors? It looks like you might be able to attach a type o securement device to the walls? Is that something you can provide?
The U-Haul moving trucks are equipped with rub rails on all sides that secure and protect your belongings.

Can I strap a pickup truck down with this strap?
"The RT Tie down can safely handle a maximum cargo weight of 800 lbs. (working load limit) and can accommodate unexpected forces up to 2,400 lbs. (break strength). If your pickup truck weighs more than 800 lbs, the RT tie down will not work, please select a tie down that has a working load limit exceeding the weight of your truck."
How do I loop the strap to the ratchet tie down?
This is something that is very difficult to explain via text. I have two suggestions. Contact a local UHaul center and ask them to show you, or enter "ratchet tie down" in the YouTube search box. I checked YouTube and found videos that are extremely clear. If all fails, please call us at 1.866.277.6855. Thanks.
Is this a good option for tying down a mattress and box spring to the top luggage rack of an SUV? Is it long enough?
It can handle it, just make sure you use a few of them spread out evenly.
