How Do I Get My Free Month of Storage?

Have you rented a truck or trailer from U-Haul in the past two years? Then you’re in luck! Fill out the form with the same account as your past truck or trailer reservation and get the storage unit you need! This is a one-time special offer, so it can only be used once.

If you haven’t rented from U-Haul before, all you need to do is rent a truck or trailer! That’s it. First month of free storage is available at select locations with any local or one-way truck or trailer rental.

Schedule a move-in online to claim your personal storage unit discount immediately or reserve your storage unit for later; the discount is then applied at the counter.

How do I Know if a Location Offers Free Storage?

Look for the blue banner at the top of the U-Haul storage facility! It will look like this:

How to Get Your Free Month of Storage Online or in the U-Haul App

Make sure to log in to your U-Haul account, whether online or on the app.

Once you have found the storage unit you want at one of our select locations, click or tap on “Rent Now” or “Reserve” and before you reach the cart page, make sure to click or tap on “Redeem” underneath the checkout button. It will look like this:

Input your reservation number or your email and last name associated with the account. Then your discount will apply! You will then see a “Discount Applied” and then you can proceed to your checkout.

How to Find Your Reservation Number

You can find this number by going to the “My Orders” section of your account, then click or tap “Past Orders”.  You should see “Order #” followed by an eight or nine-digit number. That is the reservation number that will get you your free month of storage.
